The holiday home is very nice, but partly outdated and some things need to be renewed. During our stay, one of the toilet seats was broken and both shower rods were also defective. Some things are old and should be replaced, e.g., the rusty shower shelf in one of the showers (the other one completely lacked such a thing). Some items were not present at all, like a DVD player and stereo system. Water seems to remain in the washing machine, as it smelled very musty. The house is advertised for 10 people; in fact, there are as many sleeping options, but not enough closet capacity to store things. Since the bedrooms are very small, you can't live out of a suitcase either. Plates, cups, glasses, cookware, and cutlery are sufficiently available, just not teaspoons. The dining table would also be too small for 10 people. The terrace is very nice and large, but there are only plastic chairs, plastic tables, and 2 plastic loungers, one of which is broken. Cushions for the chairs are not sufficiently available. From our perspective, 6 people is the maximum occupancy for the house. There is a small garden shed, which was, however, cluttered with broken chairs, etc., upon our arrival. We cleared it out so that our 5 bicycles had space. 6 could also fit inside, but the other stuff would still need to be removed. Since the cabin is somewhat crooked, the door does not close properly. This needs to be repaired or replaced with a new cabin. The beds are comfortable, and the pillows and blankets were good for the season (April). We certainly did not freeze, although it got quite cold at night. The house cools down quickly on cold days but also gets very warm in the sun. The air conditioning unit in the living room works very well and heats up quickly. One must aim very precisely with the remote control. The stove works well too. There are also small electric heaters, but we hardly used them. The pool and the sauna worked well. The pool had a constant temperature of about 24-25 degrees. However, it was heavily chlorinated, which you can smell and feel on your skin after a longer stay. In the pool area, it is pointed out not to stay in the water for more than 30 minutes. We can only confirm that. The sauna takes quite a long time to heat up. The electricity consumption is enormous. From our perspective, the whirlpool is practically unusable. The hot water tank is not sufficient to fill it with warm water. We tried it, the whirlpool was half full and we had no hot water in the house for 5 hours. We then continued to fill the pool with cold water. You really have to let a lot of water run in . . . more than 10 cm above the nozzles (as it is described), so that you can turn on the circulation and thus the heating. After filling with initially warm and finally cold water, the whirlpool was at 18 degrees. After 3 hours of heating, it was then at 24 degrees, i.e. 2 degrees per hour. . . however, the circulation switches off automatically, meaning you have to regularly check if it is still running. From our perspective, this is not practical. Heating takes way too long and consumes way too much electricity. We then gave up, and although the room always has about 26 degrees Celsius, the hot tub water was only at 14 degrees the next day... one would have to heat continuously to be able to use the hot tub multiple times. Regarding electricity consumption, it must be said that it is very high, even though half of the roof is equipped with solar panels and a heat pump is operating. This energy is, from our perspective, completely invested in the pool and the pool area. Everything else must be paid for at 50 cents per kWh (expensive). As already mentioned, it is not economical to heat the whirlpool, and the sauna also consumes too much.
