The holiday home has garden shed charm due to the abundant wood. The cleanliness was surprisingly average, as one knows from Danish holiday homes. Since cleanliness was praised in previous comments, I had expected better cleanliness. Everything is available for cooking - the kitchen is very well equipped. A large sauna, although only the lower bench was really good for lying down, the upper ones are too narrow even for slim people. The washing machine was great, unfortunately no dryer. The whirlpool had a rim that was not well cleaned, and the basin did not drain. It simply lacks some care here and there; next time we will choose a different house. It was okay for a few days, though. Recommendations: We liked the trip to Bulbjerg the best. You can walk down to the beach on the right or drive for 10 minutes. Skagen is relatively unremarkable. And the 2-hour drive stretches out. In Frederikshavn, there is a palm beach where our dog could romp in the shallow water. The observation platform Pikkerbakken, also in Frederikshavn, is worth seeing.

The house is located in a generally very small holiday home area that is almost completely uninhabited in January. During the main holiday season, when the houses are likely to be fully booked, the plots are too close together for my liking, as they are all completely visible and not heavily overgrown, although an attempt was made to integrate the houses into the natural ground shape, slightly dune-like. There are always about 6 houses in a driveway loop, this is the first one. From the house, you can reach the beach in a very short time via a dreamy dune path or a short stretch of road. The road is hardly trafficked, as there is nothing in the small settlement besides the few houses inhabited by locals and a fish smokehouse. The house offers everything you need - you can tell in the smallest details (baking pan, citrus press, games, guestbook...) that it is used by the owners. Since I was there alone with a dog, I can only say that the double bed has very good mattresses. The sauna gets really hot and doesn't let in any cold. Personally, I would find the living space too small to be there with 5 or 6 people, but that's a matter of taste. One thing must be mentioned: I have been regularly going to Denmark for over 30 years. In all those years, I have NEVER rented a house through an agency that was as CLEAN as this one when I entered! I will definitely come back, as it was a wonderful stay for me and my dog. Recommendations: You can walk for hours along the "North Sea Path" - or directly along a narrow dune path parallel to it, just like on the beach. The path to Bulbjerg, directly along the beach, is absolutely worth it. The entire nature here is rugged and unspoiled. Just like a visit to the "Rubjerg Knude," about a 1.5-hour drive away, one of the largest moving dunes in Europe, which has buried a lighthouse on the steep coast and then revealed it again after all the outbuildings were destroyed. A dreamy view over kilometers of nature is guaranteed.

We have just returned from a wonderful week in this holiday home in Frøstrup! The holiday home was big enough for our family of five, and the kids loved the nearby playground. The little view of the ocean from the dune was a nice surprise, perfect for morning coffee. The sauna was a great addition after a day exploring the beautiful Vester Torup Klitplantage. We have just returned from a wonderful week in this vacation home in Frøstrup! The vacation home was big enough for our family of five, and the kids loved the nearby playground. The little glimpse of the ocean from the dune was a nice surprise, perfect for morning coffee. The sauna was a great addition after a day of exploring the beautiful Vester Torup Klitplantage. Definitely a place we would consider visiting again!

The house offered us what we wanted, except for two or three things! The location to the water was good! What we would have liked and what we know from other stays in holiday homes, there are no loungers or at least two chairs with adjustable backrests to enjoy the sun outside. This is not possible in the chairs that are normally there!! And in our opinion, every holiday home should have a grill for grilling outside. That was a negative for us!!!
