Description
The approx. 200-year-old thatched farmhouse was bought by two Hamburg architects around 1973 and restored with great attention to detail. As much of the building fabric as possible was preserved. After the restoration, the house was divided and extended according to today's requirements.
The sunny front of the house with a large garden and pond (approx. 1000 sqm) is exclusively available for rent. The approx. 100 sqm living space is divided into three bedrooms and a spacious living room with open kitchen. In bedroom 2 there is a bunk bed (alcove) in addition to the double bed. The living room still has the original large open fireplace where you can still cook over the fire. Furthermore, the house offers two modern bathrooms with shower and toilet. One of these bathrooms belongs to bedroom 1. For your vehicle there is a carport and further parking spaces in front of the house.
The garden is not fenced
As the second half of the house is permanently occupied, parties and events of all kinds are not possible in the house!

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday home is located on the North Frisian peninsula of Eiderstedt. The coasts of Eiderstedt are part of the UNESCO Wadden Sea World Heritage Site
Oldenswort, the nearest village, is about 1 km away and offers shopping facilities for daily needs. Fresh bread rolls are available here seven days a week. The restaurant "Handelskrug" in the village is also highly recommended.
Tönning with its historic harbour can be reached in about 10 minutes by car. It is just as far to the historic Dutch town of Friedrichstadt, where you can take a pedal boat or motor boat through the canals. For most Eiderstedt holidaymakers, however, the beach in Sankt Peter-Ording is usually at the top of the agenda. It takes about 20 minutes to get there. It is also about the same distance to the lighthouse at Westerhever. Husum, the largest town in the area, is also worth a visit, with a journey time of about 15 minutes.

Cancellation terms:
You will receive a full refund of the deposit if you cancel the booking at least 7 days before the scheduled check-in time by 12 noon CET (Central European Time). Cancellations made less than 7 days before check-in will result in the forfeiture of the deposit. No additional costs will incur. If arrival is not possible due to COVID-19 restrictions, the guest will receive the full deposit back.

Great house and beautiful garden
Lots of space in the house and garden and everything you need is there. Very friendly and helpful landlord! We will come back gladly.

Beautiful house with large garden
Very nice house with a large garden. Very spacious with two bathrooms, an eat-in kitchen, a large living room and 3 bedrooms. The kitchen is functional and well equipped. There is a washing machine plus clothes horse in a separate laundry room. The garden can be used wonderfully, there are sunbeds etc. available. The house is in a quiet and secluded location
The contact with the landlord was very friendly, uncomplicated and helpful
We can absolutely recommend the house and will gladly come back ourselves
Wi-Fi is available in the house.

Super cosy holiday home in perfect location for relaxation in the heart of Schleswig Holstein
Super cosy house, rustic furnished and ideal for a relaxing holiday with the family. You have all the amenities like TV, radio, internet and completely new bathrooms. There are many rooms with space for a large family or for a trip with friends. Ideally located for day trips to Sankt Peter Ording or Husum within 20 minutes. Or simply explore the surrounding countryside. The kitchen offers all possibilities for self-catering to spend a perfect week. Highly recommended!

Great holiday home
Very nice house, with a good location for excursions in the surroundings.
You will find everything you need in the house, everything is very clean and well maintained.
We can also highly recommend the restaurant and the butcher in the village.
