Description

Enjoy your holiday in the middle of nature. Our rustic, completely detached house stands on a hill (710m) at the edge of the forest with a spectacular view. In the large garden you can enjoy the sun from rise to set or prepare the barbecue for the evening. Relax in the midst of nature or go hiking and cycling on the numerous paths that lead directly past the house.
In the house, on approx. 70 sqm, you will find the cosy open living area with corner sofa, dining group, radio, SAT TV, a well-equipped kitchen with kitchen, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, electric cooker (4 plates with oven). Bathroom with washbasin, shower and WC, storeroom. The basement is heated with underfloor heating or you can make yourself comfortable by the crackling fireplace. On the upper floor there are two cosy bedrooms (1 with a double bed, 1 with three single beds) with a chest of drawers or built-in wardrobe. Towels and bed linen included.
Terrace with garden furniture, sun loungers, parasol and an outdoor barbecue for cosy hours are of course not missing. Your car can be parked in the garage on request.
Escape from everyday life to really let your soul dangle or to be physically active.
The location of the house to the spas Bad Brambach, Bad Elster or Franzensbad in the Czech Republic, castles, fortresses or museums makes it the perfect starting point.

Our cottage is located in the southern Vogtland, in the spa triangle of Bad Elster, Bad Brambach and Franzensbad (Czech Republic)
The distance to Bad Brambach is 6km, the small village Bärendorf is only 800m away.
The location on the sunny edge of the forest at an altitude of 710m offers a beautiful wide view into the very close Czech Republic.

Deceleration and pure nature

We spent 14 days in this lovingly furnished holiday home for our annual vacation with our dog. We immediately felt comfortable and warmly welcomed upon arrival. The house is equipped with everything you need. We didn't miss anything and it was spotless clean.
We slept fantastically in the beds. It was probably due to the wonderful fresh air and the fact that we have the same mattresses at home :-)
We received some helpful tips from Mrs. Reuther (about excursions, shopping options, etc.) THANK YOU.
The surrounding forests are very beautiful and invite you for a walk in warm weather. Nature lovers will get their money's worth here. A variety of different bird species can be observed on the property. Here you automatically decelerate and we have gathered a lot of strength for everyday work.
We would highly recommend this accommodation and we know that we will be "repeat offenders".

Always Ottilienruh

We stayed in this enchanting cottage for the second time. (Radon cure in Bad Brambach). The location and cosiness are unsurpassed.

We felt very comfortable and received the relaxation we were looking for. Hiking possibilities directly from the front door, excursion possibilities galore - we haven't seen everything yet.....
and last but not least the very friendly landlady, whom we met this time and who (just like us) has a heart for animals. So we will be back - definitely

Great cottage,just wow!

We spent (unfortunately only) 4 days in Mrs Reuther's Ottilienruh cottage, we, that is my husband, our dog Wilma and I...and what can I say: we have rarely seen such a wonderful spot on earth...the cottage is so great! Super equipped, so cosy, the location and the view...just great.... Here you can enjoy the peace and nature, listen to birds and watch them, sit in the sun and let your eyes wander towards the Czech Republic. Our 5-month-old dog couldn't have had it better here, she could run around and lie in the sun. The cottage is top clean, very well furnished and immediately conveys a feel-good atmosphere...the only minus is purely subjective: the mattress was too hard for me, but as I said, that is subjective, my husband slept great! We will be very happy to come back! Mrs. Reuther has really earned all the stars for this domicile!
We flew out from here to the very nearby Czech Republic, for which it was a very good starting point. If you are looking for peace and nature - perfect!

It doesn't get better than this!

We have now been to this beautiful cottage several times and were not disappointed once again! From the first to the last minutes - from the warm welcome by Mrs. Reuther to the temporary goodbye - an absolutely successful vacation. The house and surroundings are simply a dream. Everything there that humans, Collies, and cats could wish for - a beautiful, extensive property and the adjacent forest is only a few steps away. In the house itself, nothing is missing, it is cozy all around, and we left after 2 weeks feeling refreshed. Here, we and our furry friends once again found the peace and relaxation we were looking for and will be back soon!

Wonderful.

Dear Mrs. Reuther,
Thank you very much for the opportunity to spend such beautiful days with you! We can only echo the other reviews, you have created the house with such love, we felt welcomed immediately. Whether inside or outside, everywhere you can feel the love and effort you put in to make guests feel comfortable. Also for the animal guests from near and far: bats, birds, and forest animals... Everything is taken care of, an oasis for all small and larger beings. The only thing that is basically unnecessary is the television, and a small board could be placed in the source trough as an exit aid for curious lizards.
Thank you very much for this wonderful time, for the many small discoveries, it was wellness for the senses and soul, we could enjoy it very much.

A beautiful house in a great environment

The holiday home, designed in the style of a Swiss chalet, is located in an absolutely secluded and dream location on a huge property, making it ideal for us and our furry companions. Here, we were able to escape the noise of everyday life and enjoy the peace and quiet we had been looking for. Everything we needed was available in the house, which, along with the grounds, are very well-maintained. The adjacent forest invites you to wonderful walks and hikes - in short, pure idyllic and relaxation. From the warm greeting by the lovely owner, Mrs. Reuther, to the last day, we spent an absolute dream vacation here! We will definitely come back soon! Ein Traum

This beautiful wooden cabin is a dream. Pure nature and lots of peace. A place to relax and unwind. Time flew by. The welcome was warm, and even a welcome drink was provided. We will definitely come back. Ps: the starry sky is amazing.

Simply brilliant

We spent (unfortunately) only 1 week in this idyllic holiday home, and actually didn't want to leave at all. It exudes an ambiance like something out of a fairytale. Simply fantastically beautiful, cozy, quiet, in short, everything you need for a restful vacation. The house itself also offers everything you need. Also great for groups

A wonderful cottage in the middle of nature - just as we imagined it. It offers all the amenities needed for a week's vacation. Excursions to the surrounding forests, to the Czech Republic, or up the Chapel Hill can be easily done by car or on foot, providing a welcome change. For us, the house was perfect for our group of friends, especially since the grill and garden furniture also invite cozy evenings outdoors.

Oasis of Silence

We spent wonderful hours in a place full of magic. No car noise, only bird songs and cricket chirping! The garden and the terraces are the perfect place to relax, read, or just unwind. The house itself is a treasure trove! Furnished and decorated with love. Everything has been thought of! In the evening, we lit the fireplace, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Speaking of the evening: we have never experienced such a starry sky before. We can recommend this place wholeheartedly! Mrs. Reuther is just as fantastic as her house ❤️

Super cozy cottage with a cabin-like feel. The location and amenities are excellent. Very clean. Pure peace and nature. We felt very comfortable. Very nice landlady, and you can feel that she cares about the well-being of her guests. We will definitely come back.
