The house was designed in 1960 by a renowned architect in the style of classical modernism. It features a number of style-defining elements in this regard, such as the interior lighting, the arrangement of the windows, and the layout of the rooms. We strive to preserve these special features in their original form with continuous improvements and consciously point out that not all requirements of a modern standard may be met.
We have deliberately omitted TV. However, there is stable Wi-Fi via fiber optic.

Location and surroundings of object
There are no shops or restaurants in the bay, but in summer there are two kiosks on the beach for ice cream, drinks, and snacks.
For those who want a bit more activity: it takes about 15 minutes to drive to the famous, kilometer-long sandy beach 'Pampelonne' with its many clubs and restaurants. The nearest shopping opportunity is a well-stocked supermarket about 10 minutes away by car.

The house is a wonderful starting point for long walks along the coast on the 'Sentier littoral' (coastal path). But also for excursions in the closer (Ramatuelle, Gassin, , Grimaud) and further surroundings (Marseille, Nice, Aix-en Provence, Antibes, Cannes, Iles d`Hyères).
From June to September you can rent sailing boats in the private Club sportif, which is part of the domain. In July and August sailing courses for children (Optimist) and diving courses are also offered.
There are three tennis courts within walking distance, which can also be booked at the Club sportif.

Best location, beautiful individual house, very relaxing
We (a couple with two adult children and their partners) had two wonderful weeks in the house Les Chenes. The house is perfectly located in the Domaine l'Escalet, the first beach is only a 5-minute walk away, and the nature reserve with the most beautiful beaches can be reached in 30 minutes on foot. The sea view, especially at sunrise, is spectacular. We brought our e-bikes - this made trips to St. Tropez, Pampelonne, Ramatuelle, etc. enjoyable without parking stress. The equipment is complete, the Wi-Fi works perfectly. The house itself is not new but really very stylish and tastefully furnished with many works of art. From our perspective, a few garden furniture pieces could be replaced (everything functional is available) and the mosquito protection on a few windows could be improved - but these are really minor details. Many thanks to the Doermer family, who were also always reachable and very helpful.

Pure relaxation
A beautiful house, originally with a touch of the mundane, an architectural gem from the 20th century on the Côte d’Azur in magnificent Provençal nature with a view of the sea and the bay of L’Escalet.
In the morning at half past eight, a coffee under the olive tree and then walking to the beach, just the towel in hand, a swim; what could be more beautiful?
We enjoyed the tranquility, the freedom, and the certain something of this house. We would love to come back!

Soak up the sun
When it's already grey in Germany, it's still summer on the Côte d'Azur. The sea was still wonderfully warm, the best season for us, and then we also found this affordable paradise near Saint Tropez-how crazy is that ..

A little dream
We felt so comfortable, the peace and quiet, and then the small harbour where there are various boats and SUPs for hire, and of course the wonderful bathing possibilities, all accessible by boat. We will definitely be back.
