This holiday home is situated on a hill above the long sandy beaches of Pescoluse, also called the "Maldives of Salento", in a large private olive grove. The view of the sea and the beautiful sunsets from there are unique. The location is especially quiet and also airy, even in the height of summer. You can reach the beaches in about five minutes by car. There is no noise from pizzerias, bars, traffic jams, mopeds, or passersby in the area, which is not so common in Italy near the sea. Pescoluse is located between Gallipoli and Santa Maria di Leuca, the southernmost point of the heel of the boot on the Ionian Sea.
On a living area of approx. 35 m² inside the centuries-old building, you are offered a living area with a sleeping zone above it on the wooden level beneath the characteristic stone dome. An air conditioner is available. In the 40 m² outdoor area, you will find the open, covered summer kitchen with dining area, a bathroom, and next to the terrace a large parking lot. The living area is furnished with a TV corner, satellite TV, as well as sleeping options in the form of a pull-out double sofa bed and a sleeper armchair for one person. A wooden staircase leads to the sleeping area on the wooden level with a double bed measuring 160 cm x 190 cm, right under the evocative stone dome. Outside, in the shade of a roof, are the kitchen with dining area and the adjoining bathroom. The kitchen is equipped, for example, with a gas stove, refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher, espresso maker, filter coffee machine, microwave, and a toaster. Next to the kitchen is the dining area with table and chairs. In the bathroom next to it, there is a toilet, a bidet, a washbasin, a shower cabin, and a washing machine. According to legal regulations, the bathroom had to be built outside. The entire outdoor area is well lit at night. A solar system produces plenty of hot water. The trullo has WIFI (free of charge).
The buildings and installations comply with safety measures and there is no danger when using the household appliances and other devices as usual. The apartment is provided with bed and bath linen. The price includes weekly changes. Pets are welcome and are accommodated free of charge. A crib and high chair are provided free of charge upon request. Upon request, the landlord will also try to meet other needs of the children, if possible.
In front of the TRULLO and the other rooms there is a large outdoor area paved with the typical pietra leccese. A table, chairs, and loungers invite you to relax, sunbathe, and play. The private property is 8000 m2 in size and accordingly children and pets enjoy a lot of freedom. In addition, a comfortable outdoor shower, plenty of parking space, and a large stone grill are available. From the location and especially from the walkable roof of the trullo, you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the enchanting surrounding area of Salento and the crystal blue sea.
The Salento TRULLI are part of the traditional landscape and are now under monument protection. Our TRULLO is a stately building and was carefully restored in 2013 while preserving tradition, as it is an old traditional structure that was typically used in the past as a shed or also as accommodation by farmers during certain work-related periods of the year. The old thick stone walls are a natural insulation from the outside temperature both in winter and especially in summer.
The trulli are old buildings with charm. Tradition and modernity unite here. These are accommodations for lovers of tranquility and peacefulness, of good taste combined with a strong desire for originality. They are ideal for those who love something special in an atmosphere of times past, without having to forgo modern comfort, and who want to enjoy the beautiful view of the light blue sea and the typical landscape of Salento. However, we remind you that the Trullo is a historic stone building surrounded by nature and therefore does not offer the same features and comfort as a modern city apartment.

The house is located in a quiet position on a hill sloping towards the sea with ancient olive trees. From the terrace you can enjoy a magnificent view of the sea and beautiful sunsets. In the 8000 sqm of private olive grove there are "Pajare" (typical rural buildings of the area) and Mediterranean plants. In 3 minutes by car you can reach the sandy beaches of Pescoluse. Along the Pescoluse beach there are bars, restaurants, and some small shops. Supermarkets are located in Salve about 3 km away and in Presicce. It is also possible to find pharmacies, banks, a post office, bars, restaurants, and other shops. Even in the next seaside town of Torre Vado, about 1.2 km away, there are a pharmacy, small grocery stores, and a fish shop. Behind the beaches, the hills begin with olive trees, which also provide a good opportunity for walking and cycling. Even small towns often have a local center with architectural gems. A visit to Santa Maria di Leuca (ancient palaces), beautiful Gallipoli, Lecce (a baroque city), and Otranto is recommended. Salento, also known as the Salentine Peninsula, is located in the southern part of Puglia, between the Ionian Sea to the west and the Adriatic Sea to the east. One can find particular landscapes, architecture, and gastronomy. Salento is naturally ideal for a seaside vacation during the long summer, but also much more, and not only in summer.

Lots of unspoiled nature. Beautiful small restaurants with typical, good, and simple cuisine. Good hospitality. Lots of sunshine, and not only in summer. There is also the possibility to rent 4 more accommodations in the same private olive grove. The owners are available throughout the entire stay.

I was born in Bolzano-South Tyrol and am a language teacher. I live with my family in the Valpolicella near Verona and teach in a Tourism-School on the Garda Lake. My husband, myself and our children have fallen in love with this place in the deep south years ago and have come up with the idea to acquire this oliveground. So we built the house and restored the old "Trulli". Now we can offer them to our guests.
