Le Chamois" is situated at an altitude of 600 m in a quiet side valley on a quiet village road in the village of Sondernach
After this, there is a small village at the end of the Val Müstair at the entrance to the Petit Ballon, the highest point outside the main ridge of the Vosges, and the entrance to the Route des Crêtes, from where you reach the Grand Ballon to the south and the Col du Bonhomme to the north. The road offers exceptional views of the Rhine Valley, the Black Forest, the Alps and to the west over the Lorraine Vosges.
In the neighbouring town of Metzeral you will find shopping facilities for your daily needs as well as restaurants and bars in the village and on the Fermes Auberges in the surrounding area. Munster has a variety of restaurants, shops and supermarkets.
In addition to numerous hiking and walking trails, there is a rich offer for sporty and ambitious holidaymakers to explore the surroundings by bike and mountain bike. Horse riding, paragliding, skiing and snowboarding are to be mentioned here. The Schnepfenried and Gaschney ski areas are just a few minutes away. Also the climbing and adventure garden at Schnepfenried offers an exciting leisure pleasure. The winding forest and mountain roads of the Southern Vosges are popular with motorcyclists.

Super quiet and well-equipped house
We really liked the holiday home. It is super quiet and equipped with luxury. It is slightly off the beaten track of larger towns, but we knew that and it was not a problem for us. The location for exploring the Vosges and Colmar is ideal.

The house is fantastic! My compliments.
The decor, not only particularly complete but also perfectly balanced. The sanitary facilities were of excellent quality, as well as the kitchen, furniture, etc. We felt at home in this accommodation, which doesn't happen often.

Holiday home in a quiet location
The holiday home is quietly situated, very comfortably equipped and has a beautiful bench in the garden with a great view of the mountains.In the surrounding area you can explore many beautiful towns and go hiking.Hiking maps and guides are available in the house.We felt very comfortable in this house and can recommend it especially for hiking enthusiasts without reservation !

A good time in bad weather
We were able to start most of the hikes during our stay in the Münstertal from the front door. On days with bad weather, the friendly and lovingly renovated house offers space, facilities and peace and quiet to still have a nice day. One almost considers spending a day or two in or around the house even in good weather and enjoying the beautiful view from the garden bench. Sausage and cheese from the weekly market in Münster, wine from the Caves de Turckheim complete a relaxing stay. We felt very comfortable.

The house met expectations.
The freedom to stay in a house without being bound to breakfast or curfew times in the evening. Comfortable kitchen, showers with reliable hot water, clean and tidy.
