Family-friendly domicile with top-notch amenities

As a family of five (2 adults, 2 children, 1 dog), we spent two weeks in the wooden holiday home of the Füßmann family. The accommodation and the landlords contributed optimally to making it a wonderful stay in the Franconian Switzerland. The holiday home is lovingly and tastefully designed and equipped, and the house and garden are well maintained. The children were delighted with the large meadow for playing football, the sandbox, the tree house, the scooters in the shed - and the table football :) The location of the house on the outskirts of town delights with a beautiful view of meadows, fields, and hills, and is an ideal starting point for hiking and excursions in the Franconian Switzerland. Rarely have we met such friendly, open, and helpful landlords as the Füßmann family. Pleasant through and through!

Superbly equipped holiday home on a beautiful property

Cosy wooden house with top equipment and spacious garden. Fantastic view over the countryside. We stayed here in Ahorntal with family and friends for 2 weeks in July and felt very comfortable. The contact with family Füßmann was very cordial, we received many tips for excursions, shopping, gastronomy and much more. We used the beautiful garden for games and sunbathing, barbecued a lot, prepared great dishes in the well-equipped kitchen, sat around the campfire until late at night and then slept soundly in the comfortable beds. If the weather was not so nice, we spent a lot of time in the cosy winter garden. For smaller purchases, e.g. the morning bread, we had the small shop in the neighbouring village at our disposal, which was within walking distance. The local pub is also highly recommended. The Ahorntal valley is beautiful. From the holiday home you can quickly reach many excursion destinations by car, hiking and cycling can start right from the front door. We are all super enthusiastic about the holiday home and can highly recommend a stay there!

Vacation in the beautiful wooden house

Although we only had 1 week of vacation and had really bad weather for 3 days of that week, we felt very comfortable in the wooden house. As a family of 5 people and a dog, everyone had enough space, the large winter garden provides cozy seating even in bad weather and an unlimited view of nature. With the wood stove, we could make it really warm in the living room and we used the sauna with the awesome steam shower almost daily. The holiday home is really well equipped, the kitchen lacks nothing. There are plenty of towels and tea towels and with the 4 toilets, there is never any stress even with 5 people. Unfortunately, we could hardly use the beautiful, large garden because of the weather. Because it is also wonderful with a fireplace and barbecue area. Conclusion: A beautiful, very well-kept holiday home where you enjoy spending your vacation. Beautiful cities like Bamberg or Bayreuth are not far away.

Great and very clean accommodation ideal for families.

We were greeted very warmly by the Füßmann family during the Corona times. The house was spotlessly clean, and the winter garden and especially the well-kept huge garden invited us to linger. Everything is really available for the children, from table football to scooters, go-karts, balance bikes, etc. The kitchen is equipped with high-quality appliances and a great coffee machine. High-quality washing machine and dryer are also available for use. The only small point of criticism is the weekly sauna fee, which costs an additional 105 euros. As regular sauna-goers, we already enjoy a "luxury" experience that should include a sense of well-being around the sauna, which we did not find on site.

We are not usually repeat visitors, but here we will definitely return. Great area, superb starting point for wonderful hikes, and the caves are not far away either.

Traumurlaub

Great equipment. Everything you need is there (towels, dishes, wood, etc.). In the house, there are 3 options to sit together with eight people. 3 toilets, 3 urinals, and 2 showers are spread across 4 rooms. Plus an extra shower by the sauna if you book it. Huge lawn area for football, badminton, Viking chess, and more. Sandbox with sand toys, treehouse, and a garden shed full of kids' vehicles and table football. My personal highlight: the raclette grill (again for 8 people). Also the really nice support.
Can only recommend.

Outstandingly beautiful holiday home with plenty of amenities

The very beautifully and comfortably furnished holiday home is located in the heart of Franconian Switzerland, from which certainly much can be undertaken. Unfortunately, our stay with 7 adults and 3 children (3 days) was too short to explore the area in more detail. The house is lovingly decorated and fully equipped, and we lacked nothing! Even the landlords, Mrs. and Mr. Füßmann, were very accommodating and nice :-) We can easily imagine another stay there for a longer period of time!

Relaxing family vacation (7 people/3 generations)

We found a well-equipped, spacious holiday home where we immediately felt comfortable. The house is extensively equipped, nothing was missing. The large garden and terrace invite you to relax in the evening. The treehouse, sandbox, and playground equipment were very popular, and the dog also enjoyed the large meadow. Local supplies are within walking distance in the neighboring village. The friendly and warm-hearted landlord couple provided us with comprehensive information about recreational activities in advance. Within a 15-20 minute drive, you can find a variety of leisure and relaxation options. Various hiking trails are easily accessible.
As promised by the landlords beforehand, one week was far too short, so we definitely have to (and want to :-) ) come again.

Vacation with Toddlers

From June 22, 2019, to June 29, 2019, we went on vacation with 4 adults and 2 young children (1 and 2 1/2 years old) at the Füßmann holiday wooden house.
The house was ideal for children with a large sandbox, slide, swings, treehouse, and many toys.
The equipment and the location on the outskirts with a large well-kept property were optimal, and the landlords were very friendly and helpful.
We can absolutely recommend the house.

Beautiful house with lots of space and great facilities, child friendly

We were two families and had plenty of space: the children could let off steam outside on the large property with a great playground and tree house or spread out in the cellar. The house is lovingly and practically furnished and super equipped - especially the kitchen with fully automatic coffee machine and even raclette and waffle iron - we have never experienced that before - great! We were warmly welcomed and bid farewell, lots of helpful information and flyers were available and no wishes were left unfulfilled.

The area is wonderful with lots of great hiking opportunities and excursion destinations, which the children and adults enjoyed equally.

We will definitely be back!

Great holiday home and very nice landlords

We had a great week and the cottage lacked nothing. We have never had such kitchen equipment. The crowning glory was the fully automatic coffee machine. A great outdoor area and lots of toys for the children. Even baby equipment was thought of. We had a lovely, relaxing week and will definitely be back again. Cosy family Christmas in the log cabin

The Füßmann family's log cabin is the ideal place for families or groups of up to 8 people who are looking for peace and quiet, value a well-equipped kitchen and loving details, like to make themselves comfortable in front of the wood-burning stove, take a sauna, go hiking, enjoy Franconian hospitality, appreciate cosy twin rooms and generous space for joint activities. We felt completely at home for a week and were additionally spoiled by the hosts with little attentions. We can't imagine a better place for our next family reunion.

Located very peacefully on the edge of the village with plenty of space for carefree children's games. Very positive that the children can also retreat to the room in the basement. The kitchen is more than adequately equipped with everything necessary. Overall: very positive!

Great vacation for children and parents

The house is really well furnished and has everything you need (including a party room and sauna) and is perfect for kids with the large lawn as a play area. The highlight was the treehouse! The Pfeufer family welcomed us really well and everything worked out great! We would love to come back to feed the chickens, see the cows, and drive the tractor! Very beautiful holiday home in a quiet location. Great with children and dogs. Top furnishings with a sauna. You can do a lot nearby, there are many castles and palaces as well as big cities. A nice holiday with 8 people, we would love to come back.

Ein rundum schönes Ferienhaus

Lovingly furnished holiday home that leaves hardly any wishes unfulfilled. Support by pleasant landlords is immediately provided for all minor questions. The new winter garden is ideal for shared family activities. We felt very comfortable in this house (3 generations). A small issue that the Füssmann family is not responsible for is a note to the tourist information offices in the region: Many outdated restaurants and their opening hours are included in the numerous and informative brochure materials. A constant update could be easily achieved through an internet portal.

Our children enjoyed the range of vehicles, the selection was just great. We parents enjoyed the coziness of the house and the surroundings. The area is very suitable for small family tours. The inns are very hospitable and very affordable.
