The old farmhouse is part of a farmstead whose beginnings date back to the 17th century. There is still the old cider cellar with press and a well in front of the neighbours' house.
You can enjoy the evenings in front of the open fire.
There is enough space for children and animals to run around in the 4000 square metre garden with camellia rose bushes and hydrangeas, under old walnut, oak and chestnut trees.

How to get there:
Car:Motorway access approx. 3 kmTrain:Lorient train station Km, Quimperlé train station KmPlane:Lorient or BrestBus:1. Eurolines to Rennes, change to the train there ()2. From March to October there are weekly buses with groups to Guidel, where we can arrange cheap carpooling. It's one and a half kilometres to the next village (baker, butcher, mini-supermarket and pharmacy), five kilometres to the next larger town and 7 km to the beaches. Sandy beaches, small bays, rocky coast and small harbours invite you to swim and walk.
It is also nice to cycle there along the narrow quiet roads.
There are also quiet hiking trails along the rivers (Laita, Scorf, Elle, etc.) or in the forests around the monastery of St. Maurice (5 km)
You can stroll and enjoy culture in Vannes (60 km), Lorient (10 km), Pont Aven (40 km), Auray (45 km) and Quimper (60 km)
If you are interested in Celtic history, customs, music etc., there are many possibilities here:
-Dolmens and menhirs, known to Asterix readers as menhirs, in Carnac (40km), but also in many other places in the area.
-Noz festival in summer (music, dance)
-The great Celtic festival in Lorient in July or August each year with participants from Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Galicia and Asturias
-Shops for clothes, music (Tri Yann, Dan Ar Braz, Alain ) etc.
For those who love islands, there are excursions to the Glenan, Bele Ile and Groix.

Pure France in a feel-good environment

Simple and effective, everything is there, there is plenty of space, it is quaint and cozy. Our dog was also welcome and enjoyed the wonderful property just like we did. A car is necessary to get to the sea and the sights, but everything is close by and there is plenty to do.

recommend for: holiday with children, holiday with pet, cultural and sightseeing holiday, romantic holiday

Vicinity of the holiday home: ruhig, tolles Grundstück, französisches Landleben

free time activities: sehr viele Besichtigungsmöglichkeiten über schöne Orte, Küste, Flüsse

shopping facilities: nur mit Auto möglich, dann ist aber alles vorhanden

a really really beautiful accommodation for larger families too. We were there in the summer of 2008 with five people and a dog and felt like in paradise! Many heartfelt thanks again to the super nice owners Hans and Ulla!!

free time activities: in der etwas weiteren umgebung super, direkt beim haus nicht so - aber mit auto oder fahrrad kein problem

Family holiday

It is a typical country farmhouse, with a spacious room layout and a beautiful huge property with fruit trees and lots of nature. Perfectly suited for a large family or group. The furnishings and equipment are practical and versatile, some of the rooms are furnished with stylish antiques.
