Description
The country house, built in 2007, is located on the south-west coast by the picturesque Hvalfjörður (Whale Fjord) and is the direct neighbour of our "Villa Künstlerblick"
Villa Fjordblick is perfectly suitable for four people; a maximum occupancy of six people is possible.
You can look forward to a 72 sqm feel-good atmosphere made entirely of wood!
On the ground floor you will find the open, lovingly furnished living and dining area with integrated kitchenette, two bedrooms, each with a French bed, and the bathroom with shower and toilet. The underfloor heating provides cosy warmth. In the open gallery of the first floor (maximum height 1.90 m) there is another French bed. The children will also find a place to play up here. With a table football table and table air hockey, play carpet, building blocks, Lego bricks, toy cars and various board games, indoor recreation should be taken care of
The generous windows let you enjoy the panoramic view of the sea and the mountains already at the breakfast table. If they are still covered in snow during the cold season, this view definitely lives up to the term "picturesque"

Enjoy nearly 40 degree warm geothermal water from the depths of the volcanic island. Lined with skin-flattering real stones from the Whale Fjord, six seats and two body contour loungers await you, while the breathtaking view of the sea surrounds you - just for you! And in winter, the starry night sky with its dancing aurora borealis arches above you in freezing temperatures - unique moments you will never forget in your life!
A small mountain stream also runs along the natural property, a small football field and a playground just a few minutes' walk away are a highlight for your little ones
A washing machine with detergent and tumble dryer are located in a separate annex (technical/laundry room), which can be used free of charge.
As the two houses are only a few steps away from each other, two families or friends travelling together can also spend their holiday here. Discover the surroundings on joint excursions and end the day with a barbecue in a large group.

A travel baby bed, high chair and buggy are available. If these are required, please register when booking. Blankets and pillows with covers etc. required for the travel cot must then be brought along.

This cosy country house is located about 45 minutes' drive from the capital Reykjavik on Hvalfjörður (Whale Fjord).
When you turn off the ring road to your holiday destination, Hvalfjörður, you are greeted by a wonderful landscape. Lush green meadows in the summer with grazing Icelandic horses and sheep that like to take over the road from time to time. During the drive, you always have a fantastic view of the water framed by the mountains and blue lupine fields. You cross a narrow bridge that leads over the river Laxá with the Laxáfoss waterfall. You will discover large waterfalls as well as historical sights as you continue to follow the road around the fjord. In winter, you can enjoy an equally beautiful winter landscape
The location in the southwest is central and therefore also very suitable for a longer stay. You save yourself the constant packing of suitcases and come back to this beautiful place every evening.
From here you can go on excursions in all directions, to name just a few:
We recommend an exploration of the 30 km long whale fjord. For the wonderful sight of the mountains and the sea alone, which constantly shine in new light and colours, whether in winter or summer, are worth a round trip. Countless dreamlike sunsets and polar lights have already been marvelled at by our guests
If you are a hardy hiker, you can take a hike with sturdy shoes to the highest waterfall in Iceland (Glymur) or visit the Hallgrímskirkja church in Saurbær, which you can already see on the opposite shore. Afterwards, you can either drive to Akranes with its famous lighthouse and long sandy beach (with hot tub) or follow the road to Borgarnes to the land-grabbing centre. The famous waterfalls Hraunfossar ("Lava" waterfall), Barnafossar ("Children's" waterfall) in connection with an "Into the Glacier Tour" at the Langjökull glacier (booking through us) are also very easy to reach from there
Another day trip to the Golden Circle is also possible from here via the connecting road 48 to the Golden Circle Route. This route starts in Þingvellir National Park, so that the other attractions can be admired afterwards, such as the fountain of the famous geyser called Strokkur and the gigantic Gullfoss waterfall.
Even the south is within easy reach from here. A day trip to the famous waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss at the foot of the famous Eyjafjallajökull glacier, which brought global air traffic to a standstill with its ash cloud in 2010, would be possible.
You should definitely visit Iceland's capital Reykjavík. This lively city with its cosy restaurants, bars, cafés, quaint fish restaurants at the harbour, the many museums, art and sights will surely invite you more often.
Shopping is best done in the small town of Mosfellsbær, 30 minutes away. There you will find several supermarkets, a bakery, fish shop, bank, post office, pharmacy, restaurants and cafés. The Lágafellslaug swimming pool is an ideal way to end the day. With several geothermal pools, slides and saunas, the little ones and the grown-ups are sure to have a great time. But come and see for yourself!
When you return to the fjord after a day trip, you will realise that you are spending your holiday in one of the most beautiful places in Iceland ;-).

Use of the private unique outdoor geothermal natural pool is included and exclusively for guests of Villa Fjordblick! The cleaning and laundry fee of 25000 Icelandic Kroner (approx. 180 Euros) is only payable on the day of departure. Please note: The minimum stay is 5 nights. Except for the period from 18 December to 08 January, the minimum stay is 7 nights! For exact dates please contact us in advance! Dreamlike
Here you get an all-around worry-free package.
Starting with the booking of flights and the rental car. The house can be reached from the airport in about 1 hour and 20 minutes. On the way, you can already do the first shopping.
The house is very well-maintained, clean, and super equipped with everything you need.
It is practical that you don't have to bring towels or bed linen. Dish soap, soap, toilet paper, spices, we lacked nothing.
And the house is situated with a beautiful view of the Walfjord. You can also enjoy this in the natural hot pot filled with pure geothermal water that belongs to the house. We see the Northern Lights on two evenings (early March), visit Strokkur (geyser), Gullfoss (waterfall), the Thingvellir National Park in the snow, hike to the Glymur waterfall (highly recommended), go to Reykjavik twice, circle the Whale Fjord, and enjoy the snow-covered surroundings.

Dreamlike, leaves nothing to be desired!
We really enjoyed the week in the Villa Fjordblick. The house is quite large, cozy, and very well furnished. The amenities are extraordinarily good for Iceland; nothing is really missing. There is plenty of storage space. The geothermal pool is amazing; we enjoyed it every day. We were able to benefit from the many documents and information from Dominik. The contact with him was very pleasant; he was always quick to respond to questions. His passion for Iceland is reflected in the house. The access road is not very easy in snow, the gravel road can become slippery. With a good car, however, it’s no problem. You can make very nice excursions from the house. The view over the fjord is dreamy. Despite the neighborhood, you feel as if you are alone. It was absolutely quiet. We had some wonderful northern lights during our stay. The location of the house allows for not having to leave to take photos of it. We would book the house again at any time!

Winter Dream Vacation
It was our first winter holiday in Iceland. Everything was dreamlike. The weather was also super nice. The natural hot spring with a view of the whale fjord was incredible. A dream
After 2 years, back for the second time... because it was just so beautiful!!!! And again everything was perfect. Booking with flight and rental car was easy again... Regarding the location, amenities, cleanliness, and the pool, one can't say more than: perfect!

A dream vacation
We spent unforgettable days in the beautifully situated Villa Fjordblick. So well-maintained and clean, and equipped with everything one could wish for, we felt right at home.

A Dream at the Fjord
Incredibly great holiday home - sensational equipment - the hot tub is a dream... I shouldn't praise it so much, otherwise I won't be able to come back anymore because it's always fully booked... but the house and the really courteous care of the owners deserve it.

Here dreams come true.
Location:
Fantastic location on a fjord with a fantastic view of sunsets and Northern Lights. The panorama invites you to linger at the window or on the terrace. You already have this great view at breakfast and the day starts with a good mood.
Facilities:
Spacious and lots of space. You feel comfortable here. The underfloor heating is also a bonus and you can heat different areas differently. The kitchen has everything you need. It's incredible how well-equipped it is here. Truly perfect! And also plenty of literature to inform yourself about travel destinations. The absolute highlight is the natural pool with thermal water. Just a dream, and at night in the pool with the stars in the sky... what more could you ask for to relax.
Service:
The service by Dominik and his team is perfect. No question remains unanswered, and there is a friendly atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable. You can also notice this in the villa with many small details and cleanliness.
We can wholeheartedly recommend this villa. Even if it is not the cheapest in price, the price-performance ratio is right.

Villa with fjord view
The location of the holiday home with a view of the fjord is indescribably beautiful!!!!
We spent ten days in Villa Fjordblick and had a great vacation. From the organization and consultation to the booking including flight and rental car, everything was perfect. The equipment leaves nothing to be desired and the warm natural pool is especially (but not only) an experience on cold and rainy days.
We can wholeheartedly recommend Villa Fjordblick.

Fantastic holiday home with all-round package
The super advice started already in Germany. All questions were patiently clarified in advance, help with booking activities, car rental and much more was offered. In between, there was always information about the current situation, so we felt we were in good hands even before we arrived here. Our expectations were very high due to the high praise on Facebook. And we were not disappointed. The house is furnished with love, nothing is missing in the kitchen, everything you need is there and a whole lot more. And the crowning glory is the pool. We used it every evening. A dream. Thank you Dominik for the wonderful time we had here, we will be happy to come back sometime

Fantastic accommodation
We spontaneously spent our Easter holidays in Villa Fjordblick and enjoyed every second of it. The house is very well maintained and well equipped, wonderfully bright and friendly, a real feel-good place. The view of the fjord is fantastic, whether from the house, the terrace or the pool. The 5 days of quarantine were over almost too quickly. Many great sights can be visited on a day trip from Villa Fjordblick. And the great service on the part of the landlord made the holiday an all-round carefree package, despite Corona. Highly recommended.
