This house in on two floors. UPSTAIRS: double bedroom (see pics), triple bedroom (see pics), cloakroom and a complete bathroom with shower. DOWNSTAIRS: wide open-space living-room and kitchen (see pics), second bathroom with washing machine, washbasin and WC, terrace (see pics). The garage is subterranean. HIGHLIGHTS: this is not a luxury accomodation, but it is a nice house, full of light and fully equipped with everything you may need: it is well cared after and refreshed every year. There are 5 comfortable and proper beds. The use of air conditioning and/or heaters is included in price and is not an extra cost. You do not see the sea from this house, but you have a wonderful view of the east flank of Mount Etna from the terrace and from the double bedroom: that is a big show when the volcano is in eruption! BEACHES. The nearest is just 200 metres off your main door; a larger one starts 3 km away, and this is the only Blue Flag beach on the east coast of Sicily. VILLAGE. The village is small and quiet, with a palm-fringed seaside road and a cycling path, a café and 6 restaurants/pizzerias. Needless to say, local speciality is fish! DAY TRIPS. This is an ideal base for excursions to Mount Etna and across the east of Sicily. If you do not want to rent a car, a local driver and guide (with a license) offers you a 50% discount on his rates.
