This area is only 30 km east of the excursion centre on Mount Etna and 23 km south of downtown Taormina, but few strangers know about it: you don’t see so many foreigners around. The motorway is just 6 km away. You get fast to: Taormina, Nebrodi Mountains, Top of Mount Etna, Piazza Armerina (Ancient Roman "Villa de Casale"), Caltagirone (ceramics), Siracusa, Noto (Sicilian Baroque), downtown Catania and Acireale. In two hours drive, you also reach Agrigento (Ancient Greek "Valle dei Templi"), Modica and Ragusa Ibla.

If you are the type that goes on holiday to rest, I can’t think of a better place than this village on the east coast of Sicily. It is small, quiet, never too crowded and you do not necessarily have to use your car: there are food shops, 6 restaurants and pizzerias. Two beaches are close, one within walking distance, the other one 3 km away.
