Parthenay is an Art and History town ( Ville d'Art et d'Histoire) and a stop over on the Ways to St.Jacques de Compostelle and for this reason impossible to let a side in this area. To be seen: the district St Jacques with its medieval houses , the St Jacques Gate, ramparts, Romanesque churches, the museum, the maison de culture de pays, the Thouet riverside, a lot of plaisant walks to be taken.
