We, the Schnez couple, are both of retirement age and completely refurbished the holiday flat in 2012 and have been updating it ever since. Originally from southern Germany, we moved to the Rhineland for work, where we have now lived for around 30 years. I myself am a former naval officer and studied electrical engineering in the USA. My wife, after a career as a mother of 4 children and painter, ran an art and antiques business for many years. Our beautiful house, which we built in 1991, and our no less beautiful garden are both a task and a hobby for us. We are happy when our guests feel as comfortable here as we do.
