After 30 years of building pipelines in over 100 countries, I started a boat rental business in AKYARLAR on the Bodrum TR peninsula in 2006. This is how 5 holiday homes were added until 2012. At the beginning of 2015, these 5 houses were on the first 5 places in the internal ranking of FEWO-direkt of about offered houses in Turkey, mainly because of the most and best reviews and certainly because we had the only holiday houses with motorboat. We were fully booked even in winter with long-term renters. But in the winter of 2015, not only did we not get any bookings, no one asked for holidays in Turkey anymore. As our small village Akyarlar was only 5 km away from the island KOS, about refugees passed through our village that year. They all needed boats to get to KOS. And so all our 3 boats were gone, you could have at least asked. And in July 2016 we were gone too. In Rhodes I found the dream farm and now we are here.
