The holiday home is well equipped by Norwegian standards. The location is great, direct view of the fjord. The landlord is nice. Recommendations: Island Senja has many attractions, unfortunately some are not open daily and only for 2 hours.

The house is clean, tidy and nicely-decorated with a large living room. The kitchen is modern with a log-fired stove for heating. There are two double rooms, a twin, a single bed on the landing and a very large sofa. It's a five-to-ten minute drive from some excellent ski touring and the views across the fjord are fantastic. There is also parking for two cars as well as a deck with BBQ and chairs. There is a small supermarket down the road in Senjahopen and a restaurant/bar just up the road.
Recommendations:
A car with winter tyres (spikes) is very useful. Also, don't forget that opening times are not the same as the UK and shopping is difficult on a Sunday.
