Holiday apartments and houses in Paliseul

The house itself advertises a high rating on Gîtes, which is already several years old. Today, the house certainly no longer lives up to the praise. Not only are the excessively high costs for electricity and gas/oil (350 € for 14 days in summer) inappropriate. For the 100 € cleaning fee that is also added, I expect not to find a shower clogged with the previous occupants' hair that I have to clean myself, as well as a clean oven, etc. I do not want to have to ask the landlord for repairs upon arrival. It is a matter of course for which I have paid a high price. That we also had to make our own beds is just the icing on the cake. In the overflow of the sink, a disgusting dirt with germs has settled, some lamps did not work, the door handles were partially loose, so that you had them in your hand, and you also had to take the trash can to the street yourself. Anyone providing accommodation for 12 people should also create the necessary conditions in the kitchen. If in doubt, plates must be purchased, and at least a second tray for the oven. Not everyone goes out to eat all the time. Those seeking peace will not find it in this house. The surrounding farmers start their machines (manure pump?) running non-stop at 5 a.m. for two hours. A neighbor plays his music loudly until 3 a.m. (I doubt it was the festival in Bertrix, as the music could still be heard after the festival ended.) The landlords are clearing their underbrush with a motor scythe right next to the garden, and the house is so poorly insulated and the living space echoes that it hurts the ears. Especially when traveling with children, not recommended. For us, peace was particularly important, as we live in a new development area and have had to endure construction noise almost daily for a year and a half. We hoped for 2 weeks of relief, but were very disappointed. The farmers also ensure that there are countless flies in the house, which one cannot get rid of. And the statement "near the forest" only partially corresponds to reality. We have really stayed in many holiday homes in different countries, and we were used to better from Belgium until now. All in all, one gets the impression that this holiday home is merely about making a lot of money in a simple way.

Crappy shower, flys everywhere, kitchen dirty, cooking pans dirty and greasy, with hot water runing low pressure how can a dishwasher clean pans....

We have to check every fork or glass before use cause most of them where dirty.....

Doors open at 1530, and most of the floor was still wet.. 7 days for 1k, much to extensive with all these small problems.

Outside the house was bieutyfull......

A beautiful house with everything you need. Very spacious rooms. The weather was nice, lovely terrace and a huge garden where you can relax. It is so spacious that you can easily stay there with a family. Super friendly, welcoming owners. Really had a great week.
