Travel guide Bibione-Pineda
Hot summer brings cold winter
In the
Venice region on the northern Italian Adriatic coast, temperatures rise to 30 °C in the summer months and there is little rainfall. The bathing temperature in the Adriatic Sea is 24 °C in July and August – perfect for a
beach holiday in Bibione Pineda. In winter, it can become bitterly cold due to the proximity to the Alps. Minimum temperatures below zero degrees Celsius are not uncommon. When the cold wind from the north blows over the Adriatic Sea, the perceived temperatures are even lower. Nothing stands in the way of your sunny holiday with your own accommodation or a house or apartment. Don't forget your sun umbrella and sunscreen!
Feasting in the lagoon between mountains and sea
In
Veneto, people like to eat well and drink just as much. The dishes are mostly simple, coming partly from the rural tradition of the hinterland, from the coast or (further east in Bibione) from the Trieste region with its Austrian influences. In Venice, fish and meat dishes are balanced on the menus of restaurants – with a small focus on fish and seafood. Popular dishes are risotto nero, a risotto with squid and the accompanying ink, sarde in saor, an appetizer of anchovies marinated with vinegar, raisins and pine nuts, or fritto misto di mare, fried fish and seafood. A typical meat dish from the region is fegato alla veneziana, calf's liver fried in butter with onions. Hearty meat dishes like goulash or veal schnitzel with mushrooms come from Trieste. In Bibione, there is a weekly market every Tuesday from 7 am to 12 pm on the market square in front of Luna Park, where you can buy fresh produce from the region – meat, fish, cheese, salami and fruit. The Venetians like to drink an ombra, a small glass of wine in between, at any time of the day. The Veneto region has a large number of outstanding wines: Bardolino, Soave, Valpolicella or Amarone. The popular sparkling wine Prosecco also comes from Veneto. A popular aperitif is spritz, which consists of white wine or sparkling wine with Aperol.
The right beach for everyone
A holiday home or apartment for a family holiday in the resort of Bibione Pineda is perfect for a varied family holiday. The beach of Bibione is ideal for small children with its shallow water. Childcare is offered during the season. There is also a designated dog beach, Spiaggia Di Pluto e Pippo, where you can walk with your dog or pet. On the beach, there are equipment rentals for sailing dinghies, kayaks and surfboards. In addition, Bibione has one of the few inclusive beach sections on the Adriatic coast with access to the sea for wheelchair users and interpreters for the deaf and mute. If you prefer to jump into the cool water in your own holiday home, book a
holiday with a pool in Bibione in beautiful Italy. Set off from there on unforgettable day trips along the coast or to the sights of the resort.
Excursions to the Caorle Lagoon
Bibione borders an extensive lagoon landscape full of rhododendrons to the west, which extends to
Caorle. It is only a few kilometers by sea to Caorle. The journey by land takes a little longer. The lagoon offers a fascinating natural experience with old fishing huts, bird watching and tours through the canals. In the Falconera district, it is worth visiting the many fish restaurants that specialize in Venetian cuisine. The entire area is crisscrossed by numerous hiking and cycling trails. However, boat trips through the region are the most impressive. In the center of Caorle is the former bishop's church of the city from the early 11th century. Caorle's landmark is the round freestanding bell tower (Campanile) with a height of 48 meters. Simply rent a chic holiday home or apartment with air conditioning and a view of the pine forests at a reasonable price and according to your personal wishes for a beach holiday with the family in one of the most beautiful holiday resorts in Italy. Treat yourself to your personal break full of excursions to the coast in Bibione Pineda and the surrounding area!
