What should I say?
Where do I begin?
So many thoughts are swirling.
A beautiful place.
On the arrival day, we were welcomed by the caretaker Locke and his companion Balou.
Locke opened the door for us, and we stepped inside.
He guided us through all the rooms that this wonderful old manor house contains.
We were enchanted, the world of Selma Lagerlöf (1858 - 1940) unfolded before us.
It's more than Lagom. Here, with attention to detail, a place came to life that was only known to us from stories.
"Enlivened!"
Many beautiful details, lovingly crafted, worthy of the time and the house.
There was something new to discover every day.
We fell in love.
We will become repeat visitors.

Great holiday home with a very nice host. Bri always gave us excursion tips and surprised us with treats. 15 minutes to the lake on foot or 3 minutes by car. Very nice swimming spot. From the terrace of the holiday home, we could always watch the deer in the evening. Recommendations: Super location if you want to vacation by Lake Vättern and are looking for a great swimming spot. By car, you can quickly reach the lovely summer town of Askersund and Motala at the Göta Canal. Also, Vadstena with the castle and the pilgrimage church is only 30 minutes away. In Övralid, you can also go hiking nearby.

We absolutely loved our time here! The open fireplace created a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for our winter stay. The nearby golf courses were a nice bonus for the gentlemen in the group, while the ladies explored Eskilstuna.
