My Niece's Visit
5 from 5
My niece planned a short visit to see me in Germany, it would be the first time in her 32 years that we had been together, just us. I'd heard about this property and booked us a week at what would be a quaint seaside village with beautiful trails, beaches, restaurants, and we planned to squeeze in a trip to Barcelona for maybe a day or two. She arrived from New Mexico and the next day we were off, arriving at the property and pleased with the view overlooking the sea, the pool, and the rental space. The house was very neat and ready to settle into the kitchen ready to use, and a stocked modernized bathroom. We were on the beach later that night for what would be the first of many nights, sitting at a bar taking in the local culture. There was a good band playing on the piazza a distance away, and the moonlight and hillside lights from the homes along the bay glistened off the waters. We talked about how beautiful and tranquil this place was while sitting on bean bags and sipping on Mojitos. We got back to the condo and found a welcome letter with instructions, the rooms were cozy, and the french doors in my room framed the full moon over the bay that night. We took in the village each day and encountered friendly locals while exploring by foot, by car, by boat, and saw the mountain views of the terrain on the Roses Express stopping at an overlook where the two seas meet, we even jumped into the sea from a place we'd spotted while hiking along the rocky coast and swam and sunned for hours. We did take two days in Barcelona and it was nice to visit, enjoyed a day at a museum, the city views, but Roses, Costa Brava, for me was the capstone of this trip, I would highly recommend staying at this holiday home for its quality, price, and location.
