we spent 9 wonderful days in your flat Chamarel and felt directly at home due to the outstanding equipment and location of the flat.
We would like to thank you for your commitment. Through your organisation regarding the airport transfer, the excursions and the rental of a car, we were able to visit and explore many beautiful places on the island.
Also, your recommendations for restaurants allowed us to enjoy a nice end to the day every evening.
This was not our last holiday with you, we will be back.

Beautiful holiday

As repeat offenders, we were on Mauritius for the second time this year and of course again in our Chamarel flat. The penthouse with the beautiful roof terrace is very tastefully and comfortably furnished. Nothing is missing and you immediately feel at home. Rainer and Rosabie have thought of everything and during our stay always asked if everything was in order and offered help.
However, this was not necessary, because everything worked out wonderfully. Starting with the airport transfer with Raj as well as the car rental with Jason. The people in Mauritius are incredibly nice and helpful. The beach at Flic en Flac is like something out of a catalogue. -Many of the small restaurants in town are still authentic and the food is fresh and very good. There are countless possibilities for excursions and activities. It is impossible to see and do everything in 2 weeks. But - it's best to see, taste and feel for yourself. We will definitely come back. Many thanks Rainer and Rosabie.

Great holiday

We were in Mauritius from 21.12 19 -08.01 20 and had a wonderful time in your flat. It is on the 3rd floor and easy to reach thanks to the lift. The flat offers a great view over Fliq en Flaq, is clean and equipped with everything in sufficient quantity (e.g. towels, dishes, barbecue, pool, etc.). The communication with Rainer and Rosabie was excellent both before and during our holiday.Therefore always happy to stay with you again. Thank you again.

Perfect flat with class equipment and good location!

This flat in Flic-en-Flac is perfectly located as a starting point for exciting excursions all over the island - but also for relaxing days at the beach. We were able to experience wonderful holidays there and were very pleased with the very high-quality and lovingly thought-out furnishings.

A little piece of home

After 2017, I was able to use and enjoy the Chamarel holiday flat for over 3 weeks for the second time. Like last time, it became a piece of home to me from the very beginning. Nothing is missing / lacking, the equipment is still perfect.
Picking up Raj at the airport turned into a reunion with a nice and good acquaintance, the planning and the support from you was again at its best and will definitely not be found anywhere else. This time I ventured out into the traffic myself, the rental car was perfectly organised by you, everything was as uncomplicated and reliable as usual.
It was my second visit, but it will certainly not be my last to this beautiful island with its special inhabitants. All the world's religions are together in a very small space and it just works. The people are incredibly helpful and you always feel at home. Once we stopped at the side of the road a bit away from the busy corners to look something up on our mobile phones and someone stopped and asked if they could help, we look a bit lost. For me, THAT is Mauritius!

Stopping at Maritsius

In the time from 03.01.19 to 17.02.19 we stayed in the flat Charmel of the family Rosabie and Rainer Sattel. We found the flat to be in a clean and tidy condition. Everything you need is there, almost like at home. The rooms are large and bright and the air-conditioning works well in this heat. It was nicest on the terrace from 7pm with the beautiful view over the village. Since the flat is a bit off the main road, you are spared from the high volume of traffic that lasts until deep into the night. The pool belonging to the flat is clean as far as possible. A few sunbeds and an umbrella would not go amiss. The beginning was a bit bumpy until the most necessary things were found and provided. In the long time we had the opportunity to see a lot of the island. There were nice days and not so nice days, as is the case with such a long time. However, it was not due to the flat.

We had a wonderful holiday in Mauritius, mainly thanks to the constant attention of our landlords. Always available and striving to offer us a perfect stay. The apartment is very well equipped and lacks nothing. The terrace is very spacious and offers a beautiful view of the mountains and the sea on the side. We would rent from Rosabie and Rainer again at any time and can highly recommend the apartment without reservation.

Great family holiday!

Dear Rosabie and Rainer,
We spent two wonderful weeks in Mauritius thanks to your apartment. The location of the Sunpalm Residence is wonderful, especially when you sit on the terrace in the evening and admire the beautiful sunset over the beach of Flic en Flac.
The apartment is super furnished, especially the barbecue and the brilliant hammock sweetened our evenings in the sunset :)
The guidebook was especially great, with your tips and tricks around the island, which inspired us to see parts of the island that were not in every guidebook.
It was also perfect to have a local contact person organised by you and that you helped us to get in touch with the diving school!
Gladly again!!!! :)

Wunderschöner Urlaub

we were probably the guests with the shortest rental duration at your holiday apartment - only 4 nights. After that, we went on an AIDA cruise. In planning our vacation, we wanted to acclimatize and explore the island for a few days. We looked at various properties (hotels and vacation rentals) in advance. Luckily, we came across your beautiful vacation apartment. The location of the apartment (you have a beautiful view over the city and surroundings) and the amenities are simply great. You can relax on the beach or explore various destinations on the island.
In conclusion, we want to thank both of you very much for your great support, we have never experienced such nice and kind landlords. Even during your own vacation, you took care of us.

Super Urlaub

Rosabie and Rainer are wonderful hosts. The contact beforehand was prompt, helpful, and uncomplicated, leaving none of our questions unanswered. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by a clean, bright, and wonderfully equipped apartment with a roof terrace that can be enjoyed all day thanks to ample shading options.

Rainer and Rosabie have truly thought of everything when it comes to the furnishings! And the specially made booklet, in which everything is described in great detail - brilliant!

Our contact person on site (Raj) was very reliable, friendly and available at all times (!). Thanks for that!

Especially for German tourists, the all-around care, including via WhatsApp, by Rainer Sattel and his Mauritian helpers, provides a sense of security and being welcome. I had the pleasure of spending over 3 weeks in your Chamarell apartment. One might think that is a long time, but it flew by, which is usually a very good sign, as it was in this case as well. I felt simply comfortable in Mauritius, and a part of that is having an apartment where one can feel "at home". And that's exactly what I did. I felt at home. The apartment quickly became a piece of home for me. The perfect equipment, the location, the view, the insanely large balcony with the option for hammocks - anyone who goes to an overpriced hotel is simply to blame! No matter how long I think about it, there is nothing that I would have missed or wanted to buy extra. Perfectly equipped. The second reason why it became one of my most beautiful vacations (I have already visited a few islands and countries) were the people there (rarely have I encountered such open, content, and nice people on my travels) and above all, you two. I felt less like a guest and more like part of the Sattel family. Not everyone can be lucky enough to spend their vacation in Mauritius parallel to you, but the care and effort you have put into caring for me are anything but self-evident, and I am simply very grateful to you and also owe you a lot. Dear potential guests who may be reading this to make a decision. Do not think too long, but book and enjoy a package of individual care that you cannot buy from any other travel provider for money. It will not be my last visit to Le Morne or Chamarel, that's for sure.

A dream come true

After searching and comparing, we decided in 2016 to spend our vacation here in this holiday apartment in 2017. We liked everything - the view, the apartment, the equipment... at least in the photos. A year later, we were not disappointed. It is exactly like in the photos, a dream. It was our home for three weeks and we felt exactly like that here. The apartment is lovingly furnished, everything has been thought of. From the furnishings to the utensils. The cooler box was there daily for cold drinks on the beach.
The care provided by the owners before, during, and after the vacation is simply commendable. You feel very well taken care of. They are really very attentive to the well-being and satisfaction of their vacationers. If you have any questions or uncertainties, you can contact them at any time. They arrange airport transfers and, if needed, also contact with car rental companies. At this point, a big thank you again to Rainer and Rosabie, you are landlords one can only wish for! Vacation in this apartment? A clear YES!

Unforgettable time in the "Chamarel" apartment.

Dear Sattel Family,
We had a wonderful and certainly unforgettable time in your Chamarel Apartment in Mauritius.
Everything that was promised to us in advance was also delivered. The residential complex is beautifully situated and very clean. Just leaving the apartment and going down the stairs to the courtyard, the first thing one sees is the beautiful turquoise sea.
The apartment is nicely and warmly furnished, ideal for a family with two children. Everything one needs in daily life is present here. Every small detail has been considered. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace with a view of the sea every morning. Our kids loved the hammock! What we especially liked was the fact that you had a sea view from every room of the apartment! We love the sea, and the sea view is an important part of planning and booking our vacation trip. And we experienced this at the Chamarel Apartment on Mauritius and enjoyed it to the fullest. We saw and experienced a lot on Mauritius, it is a dream island. Nevertheless, there is still much to discover. This we have kept for our next trip to Mauritius. It will surely come!

Dream apartment on a dream island

The best thing about Mauritius is this wonderful, well-maintained apartment. A luxurious kitchen (with fridge and icemaker, wine cooler), two stylishly furnished bathrooms, and an elegant living room. But the best part is the large covered terrace with a fantastic view of the mountains and the sea.
The apartment is situated in a quiet location, but from our point of view, a rental car or scooter is essential as the distances to shopping or the beach are too far to walk. A particular highlight is the attentive care provided by the landlords. Not only do you receive a very detailed guest brochure, but the Sattel family is always quickly available before, during, and after the journey personally (via email/phone) to ensure that you have an optimal holiday experience there.
So - clear statement: In case of a return visit to Mauritius, definitely choose the Le Morne apartment again.

Ein Traum

Mauritius itself is a dream, as on the island you can spend your day snorkeling and relaxing at the beach, but also find variety and experiences for active vacationers with waterfalls, national parks, or mountain hikes. We were able to experience all of this. The apartment of Rainer and Rosalie also contributed to the perfect vacation. It is spacious and lovingly furnished. The rooftop terrace, above all, tempted us to have our breakfast every morning in the glorious sunshine. But also in the evening hours, the rooftop terrace was a perfect location to enjoy the sunset while grilling and winding down the day. We can wholeheartedly recommend the apartment and the hosts. Rainer and Rosalie are always available with advice and help whenever necessary. Keep it up!

4 months of satisfaction

Dear Rosabie, dear Rainer,
We have now spent four months (01. 12. - 31. 03. 2017) in your holiday apartment.
Like all previous tenants, we also felt very comfortable in your apartment. Nothing was missing. (Towels, bedding, kitchen equipment, and beach utensils)
All our predecessors have already spoken positively about the apartment.
Therefore, here is another example of our satisfaction. We rented a scooter for 4 months and visited many beautiful beaches towards the south. It often happened that when we met "Mautzis" who were already there, and greeted them in a friendly manner, we were immediately invited to eat or play on the beach. Whether they were Hindus, Christians, Creoles, or Tamils. Everyone was very friendly, and we enjoyed it when many "Mautzis" also sought contact with us. Equally impressive is the peaceful coexistence of the different ethnic groups and religions. Unfortunately, this is not quite as common in the world today.
Since we were on the island for four months and only received a three-month visa upon entry, we had to go to Port Louis for a visa extension. The extension was done without much waiting time and at no cost.
We took bus rides to the northern part and the capital. The bus network is very well-developed and cheap. Around 70 Euro cents for a trip to the capital.
The stay in your apartment and on the island was very enjoyable for us. We are already looking forward to our next stay from October 2017.

Apartment Le Morne

Great apartment with excellent support from the landlord in Germany and the on-site caretaker. Perfect starting point for exploring the island. West-facing, so you can enjoy the sunset on the beautiful terrace in the evening. A car is necessary on the island, but can be organized cheaply through the landlord. The apartment is fully equipped and new, with no amenities lacking. So, book and enjoy your vacation!

a dream come true

The apartment is truly lovingly and beautifully furnished, the location a dream. The scooter offers exactly the mobility with which you can move optimally on the island and easily visit and enjoy the "favorite spots" described by the landlords and previous guests! No wishes remain unfulfilled and if there are any issues, they will be solved directly through a short line to Germany with very nice and helpful landlords! We will definitely come back!

Just great!!!

The apartment fully met our expectations. The equipment is more than complete and up to date. Nothing to complain about. The all-around service from Rosabie and Rainer is fantastic. Before the holiday, the last information, always available during the stay for any questions. The view from the rooftop terrace over Flic en Flac to the sea, as well as the mountains in the background, cannot be surpassed. Explore the island by rental car or take the bus less than 100m from the apartment. The location is calm and very beautiful.
We really enjoyed the time.

Moderne, schöne Wohnung mit toller Aussicht

Die Wohnung liegt in der 3. Etage und bietet einen tollen Ausblick von der Dachterrasse. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man sich vorstellen kann. Die Duschen haben einen vernüftigen Wasserstrahl und die Betten haben ordentliche Matratzen. Das sind für uns zunächst einmal die Fakten, die für eine Unterkunft wichtig sind. Das alles super sauber war ist selbstverständlich. Das Besondere an der Wohnung ist aber die gute Betreuung bereits vor der Anreise, die Infobroschüre die Herr Sattel zusammengestellt hat enthält wirklich alles was man benötigt. Und auch bei Frage vor Ort bekam man sofort Hilfe.Wir waren in der Zeit fast allein in dem Komplex, es waren nur 3 von 24 Wohnungen besetzt. So hatten wir Nachmittags wenn wir von einer Tour kamen den Pool immer für uns allein.
Wir waren mit dem Mietwagen unterwegs und bei der Fahrweise auf Mauritius wäre ich auch nicht so gerne mit dem Roller gefahren, außer man hat Erfahrungen damit. Schöne Strände gibt es unzählige und die meisten sind selbst jetzt im Dezember immer noch als "einsam" zu bezeichnen.
Da wir auf der Insel auch noch andere Unterkünfte gebucht hatten und auch andere Erfahrungen gemacht haben, gab es noch einen weiteren Vorteil, in dieser Wohnung hatten wir keine Probleme mit Mücken. Und die können einen den Urlaub doch ziemlich vermiesen. Also wer kein Problem damit hat sich sein Frühstück selber zu machen, dafür aber im Gegenzug sich frei bewegen kann und sich nicht auf ein 25qm Hotelzimmer beschränken möchte, der hat mit diesem Objekt die richtige Wahl getroffen.

We were able to spend our vacation this year for the first time in Mauritius and felt very comfortable in the superbly furnished and equipped apartment. Highlight: the terrace!
The walk to the beach and supermarket is about 10 minutes on foot. With the available scooter, it's about 3 minutes (Caution, don't go too fast...police control :-))
There is a superb, intact reef for snorkeling at the beach.
On-site support via the phone was excellent.

Absolute dream vacation!!!

Thank you once again for allowing us to spend two weeks in your stunning penthouse! We lacked nothing and it was truly unforgettable! From the pick-up at the airport by Raj, to the amenities (kitchen, grill, hammock, towels, cleanliness, etc.), and the location of the apartment, everything was absolutely perfect! We also explored the surrounding area by scooter on some days. Directly in Flic en Flac, there is a dreamy beach and a shopping center where you can really find everything! There are also plenty of dining options! What also struck us very positively was the warmth and helpfulness of the locals!!!! No matter what problem or when we asked for the right way... we were always helped further! The same goes for the two owners, whom we could contact at any time, no matter what time it was! Dream vacation in Mauritius

The penthouse is superbly equipped and offers plenty of space for 4 people. The complex is constantly guarded and has a small beautiful pool. The elevator is crucial as you don't really want to carry groceries to the 3rd floor. Rosabie and Rainer provide detailed information about all the sights in Mauritius. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back.
Tip! One should take a rental car to explore the island comprehensively, especially the lonely dream beaches in the south.
A must-do is the catamaran tour in the north or east of the island.

Absolutely recommendable!

Despite continuous rain, we had a wonderful time in Mauritius mainly thanks to the beautiful penthouse where we stayed! The apartment is spacious and furnished with charm and comfort in mind. Everything was thought of in terms of amenities, so you can switch into relaxation mode immediately upon arrival. The "Sunpalm Residence" offers an unbeatable price-performance ratio, cleanliness, and modern style. Mr. Sattel's guest information is very informative, and if there are still any questions, there are several contact persons on site. We can only highly recommend a stay, as we felt very comfortable and welcome!

Dream apartment with a view

Super nice apartment equipped with everything you need. 10 minutes' walk from the center, supermarket, and beach. With the offered scooter, you can explore the surrounding area. Also, with the local contact person, who also handled the transfer, you could feel safe and relax comfortably!

Perle auf Mauritius

Everything was clean and orderly, furnished with love. The landlord was always available for problems, even on weekends. The provided mobile phone was fantastic, with all important phone numbers stored in it, which we also had to use. The information folder in the penthouse was very helpful and carefully put together with love.

Unobstructed view of the Indian Ocean.

A very beautiful, clean, and lovingly decorated penthouse apartment. The location is on a hill a bit set back from the town center, but that is exactly what offers the incredible view of the ocean. For us as individual travelers, it was just the right vacation destination. We will definitely come back.

Beautiful apartment, great service and amazing location.

We spent two weeks in the apartment and had a wonderful time. We explored the island by car and scooter, using the apartment as our base. It's perfectly located near the center of the island. We enjoyed the beaches and restaurants. The airport pick-up service was excellent, and when I lost my keys in Port Louis, the driver who picked us up came to help immediately at no extra charge. What great service! I can recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy the beautiful island of Mauritius.

Vicinity of the holiday home: Nice beaches and mountains. Sugarcane fields but also a good shopping mall and enough good restaurants and bars to have a drink. I have never felt uncomfortable or threatened. It was a very pleasant atmosphere in the small town of Flic & Flac.

free time activities: Plenty to do. Walking with the lions was spectacular as was swimming with wild dolphins in the bay.
Horse racing in Port Louis, but also sight seeing in the capital.

shopping facilities: A nice shopping mall at only 4 km. Also Port Louis offers plenty of shops. Even the small shops and minimarkets in F&F are OK for your daily shopping.

Relaxing holiday in Mauritius

The penthouse has an optimal room layout and a spacious terrace with a beautiful view. The equipment is perfect, nothing is missing. Very helpful is the detailed guest information, which was our companion in exploring the island. It is very good that the landlord is always approachable and reachable and takes care of his guests.
