La Fermette is part of a traditional Poitou Charentes farmhouse converted into two spacious gites in the heart of the Deux Sevres countryside sharing a garden and swimming pool with Le Grenier. It has a bright, comfortable living room with modern well-equipped corner kitchen with gas cooker/oven,dishwasher,washing machine,microwave, fridge/freezer and sufficient utensils,crockery and cutlery to cater for 12 persons, a double sofa bed, settee and two armchairs, large farmhouse table to seat 8+ persons and TV. for use with video,books and games for adults and children. Also on the ground floor is a large w.c/shower room with oodles of hot water. Curved stairs lead to a well lit landing leading to a double bedroom (2 singles) and a large family room ( 1 double 1 single with room for a further fold up bed, supplied with the gite)

The immediate area offers bird watching, nature trails, fishing, walking, horse riding with rock climbing, canoeing, and mountain biking in the beautiful river gorge 10 mins away, several excellent golf courses and an international go-karting track.
