Beautiful apartment, beautifully located with a stunning view. The apartment is built on the old city wall, from the 2nd century. The village itself feels medieval in every way, except for modern amenities. They are well taken care of. Mobile phone reception is good, mobile internet is rather poor. Residents are friendly, but with exceptions, only speak Italian. The hostess is very friendly and speaks excellent English. Cultural events are organized weekly in the village, which you can usually attend for free. There is a great restaurant in the village, but there are no shops. So for groceries, you have to drive a bit. For us, the supermarket in Pomerance was the favorite. From the village, beautiful day trips can be made to Florence, Pisa, and Siena. Or a nice day at the coast if you like the beach. If you are looking for a low-stimulation environment where you can truly relax and unwind, then this is your place.
