How do I find the right holiday home?
You can simply use the search function on our site. With your desired destination, your travel dates and the number of persons you will quickly get to a selection of properties, which are worth considering. By using the filter options you can narrow the results, so that they are customised even better according to your individual preferences.
Why are no prices provided for my desired accommodation?
The landlords of the respective accommodations create the adverts on their own and are therefore also responsible for their administration. If the advert displays the information "price upon request", the landlord hasn`t entered any current prices. You can find out the prices when contacting the landlord directly by sending a non-binding enquiry.
Can Ferienhausmiete.de offer me suitable accommodations?
Tourist-paradise.com is an advertising portal which offers landlords the possibility to advertise their holiday homes. The landlords administer their adverts and bookings themselves, which means the Ferienhausmiete.de Team can`t make you individual offers for your next holiday. If you have questions regarding the booking or the property, please contact the respective landlord directly.
How does the booking work?
In the case of a non-binding enquiry, you can use the "Send enquiry" button to send a non-binding enquiry directly to the host. The booking takes place directly between you and the host in the further communication.

If it is an accommodation that is marked by a "24h booking", send via the button "Request booking" a binding request to the host, who has 24 hours to process your booking. Once the booking has been accepted by the host, this is binding.

Other objects can only be booked directly. Click on the "Direct booking" button to book the accommodation of your choice directly online and receive a confirmation from the provider.
Can I send enquiries for several properties?
You can enquire several objects at once, if they can all be requested without obligation. If one of your desired accommodations can be booked directly, then it is sufficient to enquire about this one object, as your enquiry or booking is binding.

If you are registered as a holidaymaker on Ferienhausmiete.de, you can save your favourite objects in a wish list.
I didn`t receive an answer to my enquiry- what next?
If the landlord hasn`t replied to you within 72 hours, you can try to contact them by telephone. The phone number can be found in the advert. Only the landlord can inform you about the status of your request.
My preferred travel dates are shown as available in the calendar, but I received a cancellation by the landlord- why?
The landlords administer their adverts themselves and are therefore also responsible for keeping the availability calendar up-to-date. If the landlord declines your request although your preferred travel dates are marked as available, it is because the landlord hasn`t updated the calendar.
How can I communicate with the host?
You can make an enquiry using the form in the advertisement if the property can be booked by non-binding enquiry. The answer to your enquiry will be sent to your private e-mail address. If you are registered as a holidaymaker on Ferienhausmiete.de, you can also view the entire communication with the host online in your personal traveller account.

Some adverts are offered by third-party providers using a technical interface. These objects can only be booked directly online. It is not possible to contact the landlord before booking. You can recognise these objects by the "Direct booking" button in the advert.
What is a traveller account?
If you enquire about an accommodation as traveller, you will automatically be registered. This enables you to save accommodations which you like. This way you can send enquiries to all of your favourite accommodations all at once with one click. In addition, you can view the entire communication with the landlord in your account and also reply to messages by the landlord directly from here.
After sending an enquiry you will receive an automatic email from us, which enables you to create a personal password. The user account is for free at all times and is simply supposed to make managing your enquiries and planning your holiday easier.
Who do I conclude the rental contract with?
The rental contract is only concluded between you and the landlord. Ferienhausmiete.de is at no time your contractual partner when it comes to booking an accommodation.
Who do I approach with questions about the accommodation or the booking?
Our Team at Ferienhausmiete.de forwards your enquiries directly to the respective landlord. The landlord will get in contact with you. If you don`t receive a reply to your enquiry by the landlord within 72 hours, you can also contact them by telephone. You can find the phone number in the advert.
Why can I not find my desired accommodation on the portal anymore?
If you can`t find your booked accommodation on the portal any longer, please remove all filters. If you are still unable to find your accommodation, it may be that the landlord hasn`t renewed their advert.
How can I cancel a firm booking?
As you have concluded the rental contract with the landlord, their cancellation policy applies. Please check this in the contract or get in contact with the landlord, in order to discuss your options.

Before the enquiry

Watch out for special characteristics in the advert, which you can find below the landlord`s contact details in the advert. How long has the landlord been advertising their accommodation on Ferienhausmiete.de? Are there already reviews? Has the landlord also stated their private homepage? Which impression do you get?

In addition, you should pay attention if the property is too cheap for the region or you notice any other discrepancies in comparison with other adverts.

Make direct contact

During direct contact with the landlord many uncertainties can be solved. If unsure we recommend making a call – your own gut feeling can be very helpful here. Ask the host specific questions, express your expectations and requests.

Rental contract and cancellation terms

Let the landlord provide you with a rental contract. Please read it carefully before signing. Obtain information from the landlord about cancellation terms and terms of payment beforehand, so that no questions are left unanswered before concluding the contract. Attention: A simple confirmation by email can already be sufficient to enter into a legally effective contract. Some providers of travel insurances offer the option to bear the incurring costs in case you are unable to travel, for example because of illness or in an emergency.

Payment terms

We recommend paying only 20 to 30% in advance and paying the balance when arriving. Please also obtain information from your bank if they offer protection in case you pay by credit card. The provider PayPal also offers their customers buyer protection. Don`t pay any high amounts in advance by bank transfer, in cash or by money transfer.
