Description
The holiday house is located in the green hills of Versilia, only 7 kilometers from the sea, a few Kilometres from the Apuan Alps.
It offers a quiet relaxing atmosphere and it is a very romantic location. This characteristic stone farmhouse is an historical building belonging to 19th century completely renovated and refurnished in typical, comfortable tuscan style in 2014.
The house consists of 2 semi-detached houses fully self contained and completely independent Ortensia and Biancospino. Each one of them has its private garden and its own entrance on opposit sides of the building. The elegant style and attention to detail, create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Immersed in the nature and in the quiet, you can get to the house walking up few easy stairs of an ancient typical stairway.
The access to the house is only via ancient easy stairway 43m (1 minute). It is an easy ancient mule track. These steps leads you to a romantic paradise. The holiday house has a lift to bring luggages to the house.
ORTENSIA ACCOMODATION :The house is laid out over two floors.
GROUND FLOOR: it has a large living room equipped with a fireplace 1 sofa bed for 2 people,1 sofa, TV flat screen 42”, a dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen with all modern dining room opens onto the lovely terrace equipped with table for dining and barbecue for cooking.
FIRST FLOOR: upstairs there are 2 new bathrooms, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. From each room you can enjoy a beautiful view which extends from the hills to the sea. All windows are fitted with mosquito nets.
OUTSIDE of the property : private garden shaded by olive and fruit trees, it is bordered by a stream and it's equipped with barbecue, table, chairs and deck-chairs. The intimate terrace surrounded by olive trees and birdsong is lovely for eating out , relaxing, or sitting with a glass of wine.
-We take great care with the comfort, cleanliness and excellent condition of our lease.
-The house is located near the heart of the village ( 500mt) you can walk to get bread or newspaper. The village shops (500mt) : Pizzerias, Restaurants, Bar, Grocers, Greengrocers, Tobacconist's, Paper shop, Pharmacia, Hairdresser. Free parking 43mt.

Holiday house Ortensia set among olive groves is located in Strettoia. Strettoia is a quiet village, it is located in the first hill which can be seen from the beach in Forte dei Marmi. From the house to the sandy beach of Forte Dei Marmi there are only 7 km away! In the square of the village, at disposal of visitors, a grocery shop a café and a very good pizzeria . In the side streets there are a number of restaurants and pizzerias that offer very good prices for the real Tuscan specialties. We suggest you to enjoy the good cooking and the local wines.
The village lies between several small towns and villages: Pietrasanta with its famous historical centre, Forte dei Marmi famous for its beaches and for exclusive shopping, Seravezza at the foot of the Apuan Alps. The sandy beach and its well known bathing establishments are only 7 km far from the farmhouse. In the area there is also a free natural beach with free parking. You are here in the heart of Versilia region, which covers an area of approximately 160 square kilometers between the Tyrrenischem sea and the Apuan Alps.
Versilia is the name of a long coastal region in northern Tuscany. Famous for its 20 km of golden beaches, the extensive pine forests, the nightlife, the nights on the beaches, the cities of art, the cultural and musical events. Cottage Ortensia is ideal for those who love the sea, the mountain and the cities of art. It’s possible to visit FLORENCE, PISA, LUCCA, PIETRASANTA with daily trips. Many natural beauties such as the CINQUE TERRE, the MARBLE QUARRIES in Carrara or the TUSCAN ARCHIPELAGO can be reached with daily trips. A few km from the house is the mountainous area of the Apuan Alps , with its ancient stone villages, waterfalls and hiking paths with breathtaking views ranging from the mountains to the sea. It's possible to mix crazy nights with others of complete relax. Pietrasanta has always been an important cultural centre in important artisan tradition ( artistic-mosaic and artistic-foundries) has been kept alive by the local workshops and atelier. The house is 10 minutes from the centre of the town.

Great vacation
We were allowed to spend a week in this great house during the Pentecost holidays! We were welcomed very warmly by Lorella and her husband Fabio and shown around the house, which is decorated very tastefully. The kitchen is also equipped so that you can cook excellently in it! We had never had such a clean accommodation before! Lorella also gave us great tips for excursions right away! Pisa and Lucca are easy to reach from here. The sea was also very clean and there is a public beach very close by. The lizards in the lovingly designed garden were the highlight for our children. Our landlords were also helpful when we left! We would like to thank you very much for the nice vacation with you!!!

Beautiful and very clean house with large garden.
The pictures and description of the house are a perfect match, it is beautifully decorated and very clean. We stayed here in May with our dog and felt very comfortable all around. There were enough cups, plates, and utensils available, so we didn't have to run the dishwasher after every meal. We didn't miss anything else either. Upon arrival, the hosts are waiting for you and help to bring the luggage to the house using a freight elevator and give useful tips. Thanks to Lorella and Fabio. The car parks at the bottom of the street, and you reach the house via a short, steep path. You can make yourself comfortable in the garden under an olive tree; there are sun loungers and a beautiful seating area with a view of the sea. The garden of the holiday home Ortensia is not fenced but spacious. You won't notice anything from the guests of the holiday home Biancospino, as the two apartments are separated by a fence or the house. A small shop is nearby, offering bread rolls. There is also a pizzeria and a gelateria further down in the village, both simply furnished but highly recommended. The sea is just a few minutes' drive away, and there is also a free beach where you can bathe with your dog. We did hikes in the surrounding area, for example, from Seravezza, Azzano, or Levigliani.

We will be happy to come back!
We stayed in this beautiful house as a family of four. We really liked it very much. It was very clean and well maintained and really plenty of space for everyone. There were plenty of towels on site and also a change of bed linen. The bathrooms were also very comfortable as were the bedrooms. The garden was lovingly landscaped as was the whole house itself. It was reached by a relatively steep staircase which you quickly got used to. There was a goods lift for luggage. The landlady and her family all helped us with our luggage on arrival, so it was an incredibly pleasant arrival for us. In general, the landlady is very friendly and nice and was always immediately approachable for us. As a family, we were missing a washing machine on site, but this problem was easy to solve as there are several launderettes in the vicinity
As for the location of the house, it is wonderfully situated in the mountains in a residential area. Far away from the tourist centre. There are many good restaurants nearby and some are even within walking distance. If you are planning a beach holiday, you should plan on taking the car. The beaches in the vicinity are beach resorts that have to be rented. To get to the free beaches, you should plan on a 30-minute drive. But it is well worth it. Tours through the surrounding mountains are also highly recommended as the local scenery is simply breathtaking and very central. There are plenty of shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity (approx. 5-10 minutes)
We enjoyed our holiday in this beautiful property very much and would gladly come again, despite the longer trips to the beach.
