Location and surroundings of object
The Playa de Pals is located in the center of the Costa Brava and was named in the interior to the place Pals (World Heritage). The Playa de Pals is 10km long and 90m wide, flat into the sea sloping sandy beach, which extends interrupted by the mouth of the Ter up to l'Estartit.
Especially interesting for divers is the colorful underwater habitat on the islands, the Islas Medas. On the edge of the bird sanctuary, the beach about 300-1300m direction Pals, located in a quiet and shady pine forest two small residential Mas Pinell and La Pineda and above La Pineda, about 2500 meters from the beach, is loosened up building on a hill the residential area Mas Tomasi with detached villas and garden plots, with beautiful views of the sea, the beach and the whole wide bay with its pine groves.
The recreational activities leaves no wish unfulfilled. We find 2 golf courses with 18 holes, the Golf Club Playa de Pals and Golf Club Serres de Pals and several sports facilities for tennis, mini golf, a sport airfield for ultralight planes and all shops, supermarkets, doctors, pharmacies, cafes and restaurants attractions and leisure facilities : to describe the surrounding region with the towns of Begur, Sa Riera, Sa Tuna, Tamurin and of course the center of Pals, you have to use the word gem. The places with their typical white houses, the atomic sphere of small fishing villages form an incomparable attraction. The landscape of this region complete majestic Cliffs, coves with crystal clear water, surrounded by pine and cork oak forests. A few kilometers inland are lively villages of an impressive medieval architecture with your massive towers, city walls and castles: Pals, Peratallada, Palau-Sator and Begur with a rich store pre-Romanesque churches and monasteries.
