Description
Beautifully restored, Italian farmhouse, family and pets are allowed. The house is located above the Ligurian coast, near the resort of Diano Marina. It is ideal for tranquility, quiet, but the lively and typical Italian resort of Diano Marina can be reached within 15 minutes. In the small town Borganzo there is a very good restaurant and bar, which is even within walking distance. Hiking among the Ligurian olive trees can be started immediately from the house. Also for mountain biking terrain is ideal. There are signposted routes and optional guided tours can be arranged. Other cities that can be reached via the motorway, such as Nice, Monte Carlo, San Remo and in the other direction Alassio, Albenga, Finale, Genoa, offer plenty of attractions that makes the heart of every Italian holidaymaker beat faster. Airports are available in Nice and Genoa, to achieve both over hours via the motorway. Imperia, the provincial capital located about 10 km away and has to offer a lot of attractions with its two districts Oneglia and Porto Maurizio.
The Casa Sperling is excellent and nicely equipped. The owners themselves do there always happy holidays, which can be seen at the special and excellent facility.

The house is located above Diano Borganzo in the hinterland of Diano Marina on the Ligurian Riviera, in the middle of the olive groves in the hamlet Case Castagni.
Approximately 5 km from the seaside city of Diano Marina, and in about 10 minutes the beaches of Diano Marina can be reached. The newly built supermarket "Basko" is located right on the road from the sea up to the house.

Beautiful accommodation in a dreamy quiet location
We rented the little house for 2 weeks for 7 people (3 adults and 4 teenagers). We all felt very comfortable there. Upstairs in the accommodation, one enjoys complete peace and a wonderful view. In just 10-15 minutes of driving, you reach the beach and the associated town. There, you can enjoy typical Italian life. The facilities of the house are perfectly fine and very clean. The landlords on-site are also very friendly and helpful. They recommended many beautiful places to us, and they also took care of the reservation at a restaurant for us.
The drive to the house is narrow but manageable.
All in all, we were very satisfied and can only recommend the accommodation.

Family holiday at Casa Sperling
As a family of 5, we spent our summer holiday at Casa Sperling. Everything has already been said about the house and its location with all its advantages and special features. We would particularly like to emphasise that the care provided by the Wiedemann family was extremely warm and competent. Whenever there were questions, they were immediately on the spot. Above all, they provided us with the best excursion tips in the region, which were all hits. We will gladly come back to the beautiful Diano Valley!

we had booked the house based on the information on the internet. We liked the photos. We have been to Liguria several times and it is always our favorite place in Italy. Unfortunately, the important information that the landlord should have provided is not listed. The access to the house is difficult to manage as the final stretch of the road resembles more of a hiking trail. It is almost impossible to turn around at the house or on the access road with a Mercedes station wagon. It would be advisable to mention this note in the location description. There are some things in the house that are not visible in the pictures. The equipment is not to be criticized in any case. However, the accessibility of the so-called studio is only possible via an extremely winding iron staircase. The steps are only 40 cm wide, not climbable for individuals with broad dimensions (important note, and we ourselves are very slim). For children moving in, it is dangerous as the safety of the spiral staircase is only limited by a wooden strip at the top. If the information about the house had been clearly visible on the internet, we would have refrained from booking Casa Sperling. Based on the facts described, we left the house after 5 days. Only with the help of the Wiedemann family were we able to move into another house. Petra and Fredi Wiedemann are not only helpful but also make every effort to do everything possible to fully satisfy the stay. Many heartfelt thanks to the Wiedemann family. Your help was great.

danke für Ihr Feedback. Wir bedauern sehr, dass die Casa Sperling in den genannten Punkten nicht Ihren Erwartungen entsprochen hat. Ihre Vorschläge und Anregungen werden wir gerne aufnehmen. Die Qualität des Straßenasphalts sehen wir auch als Problem, deshalb wird der letzte Straßenabschnitt im Frühling repariert. Leider ist die Gemeinde hier eher nachlässig, sodass wir dies in Eigenarbeit übernehmen werden, damit unsere Gäste sorglos anreisen können. Bei dem Thema Wendeltreppe kümmern wir uns umgehend um eine Kindersicherung. Beide Punkte werden wir in unsere Beschreibung der Casa Sperling aufnehmen.

Beautiful holiday in Liguria
Six of us stayed at Casa Sperling in August and found the stay very satisfying. The last 100m of the drive are a bit bumpy, the road is rather narrow, but it was still easy to drive with our two cars (both 5-seaters).
The house itself and the equipment were great for us and there was everything on site that we would have wanted. You can sit nicely on the terrace in the olive mountains until the evening hours (with mosquito spray, depending on the season) and easily drive to the beach from there during the day. All in all, a nice and relaxing week!

Always a guest
For several years now, Italy or Liguria has been our favorite holiday destination 3 times a year. After renting several vacation homes, we have remained loyal to casa Sperling. It has everything you need and you can tell from the inventory that the landlord has spent a lot of time there. The kitchen is well equipped with all kitchen utensils. The support from a German couple is very good and uncomplicated. They are immediately available and very helpful in case of problems. The owner always has an open ear for suggestions for improvement and the house is always well maintained, for example, the upper bathroom was renovated last year. Even if you can't directly see the sea from there, you sit in the midst of olive trees in a wild and romantic setting and can enjoy the peace and quiet. If you feel like bustle, you can reach the sea in 15 minutes. After some practice, the access is not a problem on the typical local roads. Anyone who goes to Liguria should know that the roads are a little different from Germany's, but that also makes it charming. The people are generally very friendly and the food is delicious in many places, with very good value for money in the hinterland. There are also many good restaurants on the coast. If you talk to the people, you will get new tips. A special attraction for us is always trips to the mountains, which can be reached relatively quickly. For example, you can be in Piedmont in just over an hour, where you can enjoy great tours. But even in Liguria itself, there are many hiking opportunities. You can start smaller or larger walks from casa Sperling or in the immediate vicinity. There are many culturally interesting places to visit, as described in every travel guide. There is a bike path that runs along the sea, as well as paths for mountain bike tours. For me, it's the perfect relaxation.

Urlaub Casa Sperling herrlich
A wonderful holiday, just as we had imagined it. The amenities were wonderful. Secluded location, yet not far from the hustle and bustle and the sea (20 minutes). We would love to come back.

Beautiful house in the olive mountains
We had a wonderful vacation at Casa Sperling. The house is wonderfully quiet in the olive hills, high up, away from the hustle and bustle of the town, but close enough to quickly get to the beach. The house is beautifully furnished, beds comfortable, with a practical spacious kitchen with a long wooden table, and under the roof there is a large communal room with German satellite television. The terrace offers a great view of the wide valley. The house is managed by a German couple who were immediately on hand when we had a problem.
