The apartment is 64 square meters, is located on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible. It is completely renovated and refurbished. The apartment is divided into living room with kitchen, 1 bedroom, bathroom and hallway. The whole apartment is heated by underfloor heating, the living room is also a fireplace. All floors are tiled. All windows are equipped with electric outdoor blinds and insect screens. Smoke alarms are available. The kitchen offers everything for the preparation of breakfast and meals.

Artlenburg is known for the "Old Salt Road", about the centuries the salt from Lüneburg was transported to Lübeck. There is much to discover in Artlenburg. Around the marina with direct access to the same or the Dutch windmill in the early 19th century and the Nicolai-Church of the 1821st
Popular is Artlenburg even with "Meister Adebar", the storks that every year raise their fledglings here. For children there are playgrounds or cavort through the free untouched nature. TOP holiday flat
We stayed in the flat in the first week of October. The contact with Fam. Kruse was very pleasant. All questions were clarified to our satisfaction. We have already known many holiday flats. But this flat from Fam. Kruse is just perfect. Clean, very clean, high quality inventory, everything lovingly furnished. You notice immediately that someone lives here privately themselves. There were books, games - everything you are looking for. And: maps and brochures from the surrounding area. We didn't even need to buy a bicycle map. Everything was available in great abundance. Someone has thought things through here. We rode our e-bikes on the Elbe cycle path every day. There was a room for locking them up, everything at ground level. There were no defects, nothing that could be criticised. The wellness chair has become a favourite place. Unique location directly on the Elbe and the cycle path. We could set off every day directly from the flat. We had super weather for cycling all week. You could watch the ships on the Elbe from the terrace. There were even binoculars on the windowsill. We would have liked to stay longer.
We thank Mr. and Mrs. Kruse for their friendly contact and the great holiday flat. We will definitely be back.

Accessible vacation rental
We have now rented this beautiful vacation apartment again and are always thrilled with the location. The apartment, the entrance, the shower, and the terraces are wheelchair accessible and therefore very usable for me, who relies on a walker. There is a supermarket and a bakery in the village. They have the most delicious bread rolls far and wide.

Dreamy location and lovingly furnished.
We, as a family with a baby and a toddler, spent a very nice week in the holiday apartment. The special highlight is the location on the dike. You have a constant view of the Elbe and the busy ship traffic. For flying kites and fishing, you only have to step outside the door and you're ready to go.
In the holiday apartment, we found everything we needed to live and feel comfortable - very good kitchen equipment and also very nice movies, books, games. We didn't miss anything.
The only drawback: spiders are also common near the water and unfortunately they don't spare the holiday apartment either. As a little arachnophobic, I had a few scary moments. But since all the windows are equipped with screens and the apartment is kept very clean, it is bearable (they were, however, outside the windows).
Overall, I can highly recommend the apartment and we are all sad that the week is already over!

A secret tip
This vacation rental is a dream and a gem on the Elbe river. We have never had such a well-maintained apartment before, and we only vacation in vacation rentals. Nothing is missing. On the large terraces, you can relax and watch the large and small ships sailing along the river. We would like to highlight the friendly contact and uncomplicated booking with the landlords. a cozy large apartment with a direct view of the Elbe. There is even a pair of binoculars available for observing the ships, and there is also a washing machine and a large lockable bicycle storage room. For rainy days, there are many games, DVDs, books, etc.
During our stay, we often used the large terrace. Due to the sometimes strong wind, a windbreak right next to the terrace door would be helpful.
The terrace could use some "sprucing up". Overall, a very nice holiday apartment where we felt very comfortable. Good equipment. Good starting point for excursions. Good location.

In the holiday apartment, we felt at home as soon as we opened the door. The location is fantastic, right by the dike - watching the ships on the Elbe river pass by from the sofa. The equipment in the apartment is incredible! Everything is there!! (except wheat beer glasses :-))

Top vacation rental on the Elbe!
The vacation rental offers everything you need. A fully equipped kitchen with everything you need, books, DVDs, sewing kit, games, etc. Furthermore, the vacation rental is very comfortably furnished, you immediately feel at home. From all windows, you have a view of the Elbe River.
Due to a water damage in our house, we rented the vacation rental for several weeks and we felt very, very comfortable. Our little daughter also enjoyed it there (2 years old). Very nice and accommodating landlords. The other residents in the building complex were also very friendly. Absolutely recommendable!

We felt very comfortable in the truly beautiful and well-equipped apartment, the weather was at its best, so we explored the area with bikes and made trips to the surrounding cities. The different sunsets were partly breathtakingly beautiful. The landscape along the Elbe and the slowly passing barges brought peace and relaxation. We would love to come back again because we have not seen everything yet, or just to relax. The couple Kruse were friendly and very accommodating landlords.

We were looking for a good starting point for activities in northern German cities, dreamy, romantic places, and in nature, good cycling opportunities, and a beautiful vacation rental. We found all of that and much more: a modern, bright, fully equipped, and very clean vacation rental with a direct view of the Elbe, separated only by the Elbe cycle path. There are two terraces (one for any weather), a small beach 50m away (our kids had a blast), and a grocery store in town that offers fresh bread daily (!). We felt very comfortable. Communication with the landlords was pleasant and the rental price reasonable.
... if only the Elbe Cycle Path users would not only wish "Bon Appétit" but also give out bread rolls right away. :-D. A clear double plus for this apartment! My two daughters (16 and 13) and I have already booked the holiday apartment for the second time for a city trip to Hamburg and felt very comfortable both times. The apartment is furnished with great attention to detail and excellently equipped. The location on the Elbe is beautiful. At any time of the day, you can relax and watch the passing inland ships and unwind. In 45 minutes you can reach Hamburg by car and enjoy a wonderful city trip without having to forego the peace and relaxation of the rural surroundings of Artlenburg. An ideal combination, indeed. We will definitely come back!

Urlaub in der Elbmarsch
We felt very comfortable in the holiday apartment. Nothing was missing, from an interesting chronicle about the town of Artlenburg to all the necessary kitchen utensils and a first aid kit. During our week of vacation, the weather did not show its best side, yet we had a nice and relaxing time because the apartment is cozy and invites us to play together, listen to music, cook, etc.

Immer wieder schön
We were now for the second time in the beautiful holiday home in Artlenburg. The facilities are excellent and brand new. Our favorite spot was once again the beautiful sofa with the unbeatable view of the Elbe. For us (two adults and one child), the apartment is ideal.
The landlords are nice, uncomplicated, and helpful. They are quick to help if you lock yourself out. Thank you again for that. Artlenburg is a beautiful small village and an ideal starting point for excursions. We have already visited Hamburg (harbor tour, Miniatur Wunderland), Lübeck, and the lovely Lüneburg. All top destinations. We will definitely come back again.

Simply beautiful

Very beautiful, especially with children.
We felt very comfortable in the beautifully and functionally furnished apartment. A high chair and crib were provided by the landlord. Highly recommended is a trip with the steam icebreaker 'Elbe' (see picture) - the dock is right by the apartment. Greetings from Dresden.

Dreamlike!!!
An apartment to feel good in, tastefully and lovingly furnished, very well equipped. We felt very comfortable during the week. The two terraces invited us to relax, each offering a great view of the Elbe. The apartment is located on a very quiet one-way street (only this separates you from the Elbe dike) and you can, among other things, observe the barnacle geese on the Elbe. It is an ideal place to end the day on the terrace or in the cozy living room after excursions in the surrounding area. For us, it was definitely not the last vacation there.
