Location and surroundings of object

Delicious traditional food, fantastic wines, beautiful scenery, long hot summer days. Hill top villages, medieval churches with Renaissance frescoes and ceramics ........ uncrowded beaches with beautiful clear sea ..... all the clichés about Tuscany are here and they are all true - especially here in the Maremma, the southern untouched part of the region. South of Siena, Maremma stretches to the border with Lazio. This is a land of Etruscan remains, rolling hills, unspoilt medieval villages with a pace of life that takes you back back 50 years if not more.

The picturesque village of Roccalbegna is a ten minute drive away. It's a 30 minute drive to the hot springs at Saturnia. The Etruscan remains of Sovana and Pitigliano are 30 minutes away. The beaches of Castiglione della Pescaia and Marina di Grosseto are a 75minute drive away. day trips to Siena, Florence and Rome are possible.

I grew up in the northwest of England. After studying in Scotland I left the UK and have lived and worked in many different countries. Now more than ten years I enjoy life here on Podere Sant'Angelo. It gefält my experience the Maremma, nice places to visit and where you can eat well, communicate with my clients. The great view from Podere Sant'Angelo make this a really special place. Since the look is down to the sea at Porto Santo Stefano, in the other direction there is the oddly shaped Monte Labbro, front of the house there are wonderful sunsets. The black night sky with the Milky Way, which extends over the house is still a wonder to behold. After the enjoyment of urban life in several of the largest cities in the world (including Hamburg) I guess now the close contact with nature, offering life on Podere Sant'Angelo.

Gemütliche Ferienwohnung inmitten der Natur

from Paul C. from New York

5 5 5 5 5

travel period: August 2019

Graham Bradford's Podere Sant'Angelo apts are perfect for relaxing. There is peace and quiet surrounded by the 4 Bs above.
The apts are spotless and modern. There are fabulous views out the front door and from the patio.
You can explore beautiful Tuscan country-side, culture, and small villages.
The night sky is full of stars.
Europe is experiencing a heat wave. Here in Tuscany at 2100' asl, the temperature is about 95F (35C). BUT, the breeze is cool and and there is no Humidity!!!
Following a week of sweating and mobs of tourists in Rome, this is the ideal place to decompress.

Hi Fred - I'm really pleased you enjoyed your stay here. It was really hot in Italy at the end of June - but Podere Sant'Angelo is 700m high so there's always a cool breeze and it cools down in the evenings too ...
I'm really looking forward to welcoming you here again in the near future.
A presto,
Graham

I have stayed at Podere Sant'Angelo several times in the past and I am always glad to return to the comfortable apartment, lovely garden and spectacular views. I enjoy walking in the surrounding countryside, watching and listening to the wildlife, wallowing in the natural hot springs and heading off to one of the nearby medieval villages for dinner. An enjoyable, thoroughly relaxing holiday is guaranteed!

Wow! What a beautiful place to stay at. It's so quiet and peaceful all day long (if you would want to stay). There's absolutely no sound of cars or human to be heard and only the sound of nature is there to enjoy!

Also the place itself is really well done. Everything you need is there.

And then there is Tuscany itself with the beautiful sceneries, fields, trees, hours, landscapes... breathtaking!

Thanks Graham for letting us stay at your place.

Warm regards,

Bert & Conny

Lovely cottage in stunning location

from Stephen M. from London

travel period: April 2017

We had a great time in Podere Sant'Angelo. The cottage is very cosy, clean and tidy and has everything needed. The views from the windows are absolutely gorgeous, looking out over unspoilt countrysidehe garden. We saw wild deer too by chance! The sunsets are just speechless!!
You may think it is in the middle nowhere but we found it very calm and tranquil and a good escape from the city life in London! There are also many beautiful and interesting places within easy reach by car, but sometimes we just chose to stay in the lovely cottage and gardens. We really need this from time to time.
Graham is always helpful and gave us useful advise where to go, what to see, drawing maps for us and the like.
We would definitely recommend the cottage for couples, families with children etc...

Wohlfühl-Urlaub

from Petra W. from 81477 München

travel period: July 2016
