Just great

In June, I was in this holiday home with my two dogs. It was exceptionally beautiful. The house, the garden, the surroundings, and last but not least, the very friendly landlady. I am looking forward to seeing them again in September.

Again and again! A dream!

Very relaxing short vacation in a house with everything you need. Ideal for longer bike rides or extended walks with the dogs. Large garden, spacious bedrooms, and a very good location. Right by the forest. Very nice landlady.

Very nice stay

We (2 adults) spent a lovely week's holiday in this holiday home together with our dog at the beginning of May and felt very comfortable there. Especially for dog owners, the accommodation is recommendable, not only thanks to the fenced garden, but because of the perfect surroundings for wonderful dog walks all the way into the Netherlands. Especially the Maasduinen and the border lakes should not be missed by you and your dog(s). Thanks to the good weather, we were also able to go on beautiful bike tours. It was still too early in the year for the outdoor swimming pool in the forest and the castle beer garden around the corner, but we were able to enjoy the asparagus season extensively. We can well imagine coming back again.

pure relaxation

We can recommend the holiday home 100%. Starting with the warm communication with the landlady Ms. de Jong, over the extensive walk through the adjacent national park with a nice opportunity for dogs to swim, which she showed us. We received many tips on what to see in the area. The house is comfortably furnished and in the kitchen it has all the appliances you need to cook something delicious. In addition to a washing machine, there is also a dryer. The spacious terrace invites you to enjoy every meal in nature. If you love peace and quiet, you will find the perfect conditions to relax in Walbeck. A stone's throw away is a great forest swimming pool, where open-air events also take place from time to time. We were extremely enthusiastic and are already looking forward to coming back soon.

Beautiful days in Walbeck

We felt very comfortable in the beautiful house and enjoyed the peace and beautiful nature very much. The walks in the forest and across the fields were also a nice change for our dog. Mrs. de Jong was very friendly and took good care of everything. We will gladly come back!

Upon our arrival, we were met with a locked door. A call to Mrs. de Jong went to voicemail. Inquiry in the neighborhood yielded no results. After about 15 minutes, Mrs. de Jong called back with the code for the key box. Cleanliness left much to be desired (dog hair in the living room, refrigerator and stove not clean, clothes dryer heavily soiled and dryer's heat exchanger completely blocked). Another call to Mrs. de Jong went to voicemail again. The cleaning of the heat exchanger took about 2 hours. I had to clean the heat exchanger with warm water and a piece of wood (found by chance in the garden). During this process, the shower drain got clogged, which I also fixed. A call back from Mrs. de Jong about 2 days later. There was no compensation for my work. Reason given: the diapers of my disabled daughter are to be disposed of as special waste. Mrs. de Jong was not present during check-out. When I tried to call again, I reached the voicemail only. To get my security deposit back, I had to inquire after 2 days.

Beautiful holiday house

We had a wonderful time in a wonderful holiday home. Our dogs also felt very comfortable. They were allowed to romp around in the garden. The peace and the nearby forest with its many hiking trails. Some of which led to the Netherlands, you can really relax there. A visit to Walbeck and its sights is also highly recommended. The people there are very friendly.
Above all, the landlady, Mrs. de Jong, is very sympathetic and nice.
We can highly recommend the house.
We will be very happy to come back next year.

Great holiday apartment

I can highly recommend this vacation rental. It is very spacious and stylishly furnished. Nothing is missing, everything you need in a household is available. We just had to bring our own bedding, hand and dish towels.
The large well-kept garden was also a highlight for us.
The neighbors are also very friendly and accommodating. We listened to a lot of music in the garden, but luckily there were no complaints.

Holiday in Walbeck

We had a very nice time in Walbeck and the surrounding area. The Netherlands is just a stone's throw away. The holiday home is beautifully furnished with a large garden and terrace. We can recommend it.

Short getaway

After being in the Waldhaus last year, this time we were able to get to know the Haus Nachtigalle. We were there with four people and four dogs. The super nice landlord welcomed us very kindly, and in the house, everything important is really available that is needed. The Maasdünen, the forest, the many lakes are a dream for nature lovers and dog owners. We didn't want to go home and will definitely come back.

Anytime again

This was not the last time we were here. Perfectly located for beautiful extended dog walks in the Maasduinen. Very friendly and helpful landlady, who unfortunately had to come back to clean up the mess left by the previous tenant. But even that was done quickly.

Sleep more beautifully.

Great accommodation, very clean, everything has been thought of. Great beds or mattresses, absolute peace, very nice and uncomplicated landlords. Highly recommended!

Happy to do it again

Great extensive bike tours along the Meuse River, passing many beautiful villages and towns possible.
Great hiking through forests and meadows.
Very spacious forest swimming pool nearby, which we still need to try out.
All in all, a very nice area to relax.

Large house in a great location

The house is well-maintained, the landlords very nice. We stayed there with 2 children and 3 dogs and will gladly come back - especially because of the great area! The outdoor pool is very close and within walking distance. For families with children, we recommend Irrland in Twisteden. Venlo is great for shopping. The Maasduinen are a must-visit for nature lovers!

Kurzurlaub

We had a wonderful short vacation and felt very comfortable.
Not only us, but also our two dogs had a great time. A beautiful, clean, and well-maintained house where everything is available. The large terrace with a fenced garden invites you to linger. All in all, beautiful and highly recommended.
Thank you for the great short vacation. The next stay is already in planning. Because we would love to come back.

beautiful forest house with large garden

The house was better than expected and the size and amenities were great - everything had been thought of. The huge garden with direct access to the forest was ideal for our dogs. Both humans and dogs felt completely comfortable :-)
The landlady was very friendly and helpful in exploring the area.

Erholung pur

We were very positively surprised by the house and the lovingly furnished interior. Very clean and tidy. Even kitchen utensils were available. The reception was very friendly, and we felt comfortable right away. We enjoyed the peace and walks. A little escape from everyday life. We will definitely come back. We really liked it a lot. Quiet days in Walbeck

The holiday home has been freshly renovated and is almost too big for two people with a dog. The large garden is completely fenced, so you can also keep an eye on the dog. The nearby forest can be reached in a minute through the garden gate. The surrounding landscape is simply a dream for walkers with dogs. In the lake area, you may even encounter freely roaming horses, something we have not experienced before. The contact with the landlady was very personal and friendly. We felt comfortable right away and will definitely come back again. Many heartfelt thanks to Susanne and David, keep it up!
