The Holiday flat

This spacious, approx. 110 m ² apartment has been tastefully furnished by its present owner. The style is rustic and great attention has been paid to detail, including beautiful wooden furniture and special features. The result is a successful mixture of modern comforts and rustic alpine ambience which lends the house a cosy chalet character. Priority was given to the provision of convenience amenities and high-class equipment, such as 2 bathrooms, a dishwasher and washing machine, a gratis WLAN Internet connection and a lift which transports you in comfort from the ground floor to the 5th floor. In addition to the many convenient features provided in this apartment, guests will appreciate the cosy living / dining room and fireplace with wooden surround, the walls with their elegant wood panels and beds with hand-crafted inlay work. All these features contribute to the typical alpine flair of this chalet. Imagine, on a winter evening, after a long and active day on the ski slopes, sitting cosily at the crackling fire, with a mug of hot chocolate – what a pleasant and a relaxing way to spend the evening!
The 4 balconies, which are all accessible from the living / dining room and the bedrooms, are lovely and provide some magnificent views of St. Moritz, the splendid Alpine scenery and Lake St. Moritz. Pets are not permitted. Division of the apartment:

The 3-room apartment „Chesa Rocca“ (“chesa” = Romansh for „house“) is on the 5th floor of a 6-party house in the centre of the exclusive holiday resort St. Moritz. Due to its convenient, sunny and central location, this apartment is the perfect base for many and varied excursions in St. Moritz and the surrounding area. Apropos, the tram stop „St. Moritz SMBB“ for direct transport to the wonderful pistes of the skiing resort Corviglia-Marguns-Piz Nair, is just 5 minutes away by car. Summer holiday-makers will appreciate Lake St. Moritz (only 200 m away) for cooling down or participating in water-sports. A 3-minute walk will take you to a supermarket, a bakery, restaurants and a good selection of shops for every-day needs.
Due to the central location of this apartment, you are not necessarily dependent on a car during your stay. Shopping and excursions can be done either on foot or by public transport. The bus stops for routes 3 and 6 are directly in front of the house and serve all the main points and ski-lifts in the town. You can also easily get to St. Moritz itself by train as the station is just 2 km from the apartment. However, if you do wish to travel by car, there is public parking ca. 700 m away. St. Moritz, where the approx. inhabitants are respectfully referred to as „ils draguns“ (Romansh for „The Dragons“), is located in a beautiful part of the Eastern Swiss Alps at approx. metres above sea level and is generally regarded as not only one of the best-known and most exclusive holiday resorts in Europe, but also as one of the most important and renowned winter sports centres in the world. During its long sport-connected history, the mountain village has hosted the Olympic Winter Games twice. Annual events, such as World Cup Races of the International Skiing Federation (FIS) and Bob and Skeleton competitions, make St. Moritz one of the main event locations for Alpine sports.
St. Moritz undoubtedly owes its reputation as an international sports and tourist centre to its location at the base of the imposing mountain range Piz Nair ( ) and the Corvatsch ( ) which, with 350 km of pistes, make up the largest connected winter sport region (Corviglia-Marguns-Piz Nair) in Switzerland. This skiing area is directly accessible from the centre of St. Moritz and provides pistes for every standard – from Blue to Double Black, as well as plenty of Après Ski activities for young and old.
St. Moritz is regarded, not only by Winter sports enthusiasts, as the Mekka of Alpine sport. Walking and trekking enthusiasts, gliding fans and extreme sportsmen and women, as well as those who simply wish to enjoy the peace and beauty of the region will all agree - there is something for everyone! The pistes of Corviglia, snow-covered in Winter, are wonderful tracks for walking during the Summer months, and offer the opporunity to learn about Alpine Flora and Fauna. The Lake St. Moritz provides the ideal place for a refreshing swim after a long hike, or why not try out the local spas, which made St. Moritz famous beyond the Swiss borders, long before the Ski „Circus“ arrived in the once quiet town.
The social highlight in St. Moritz is the St. Moritz Polo World Cup on Snow, which is the World's most prestigious polo tournament held on snow, with the most valuable prizes. This tournament takes place on the frozen lake and attracts High Society crowds to the quiet mountain village.
