newly built wooden guesthouse in Ljugarn on the island of Gotland
swedish island of Gotland.(The sunny island of Sweden)
Gotland has the most hours of sunshine in Sweden!
From the beginning of May until well into October there are beautiful sunny days and mild temperatures!
Beautifully situated guesthouse on a hill at the edge of the forest and 700m from the white sandy beach by the sea.
The small holiday house consists of bathroom, kitchen with living room and sleeping loft. The house is connected to the city sewage system and has a normal toilet in the bathroom (no dry toilet)! It is fully equipped and furnished. Washing machine,shower,towels,bed linen,ceramic hob,oven,fridge,hoover,kettle,coffee maker,satellite TV,terrace with parasol,table and chairs. Additionally outside: 1 two-part shed,
in which 2 adult bicycles and a grill are available.
Natural garden,no lawn from summer,as not mowed !
WLAN is limited to 5 GB per week!

Ljugarn is situated in the east 45km from Visby, the capital.
The cottage is about 600-700m from the beach.
The beach can be reached quickly on a path behind the house through the forest or on short paths.
The grocery shop is within walking distance.
There you can find everything you need to live.

In July-August there are a lot of raspberries and blackberries around the house

Quiet, close to the beach, very beautiful surroundings
We can only recommend the house after two wonderful weeks of holiday. The furnishings are very good, we didn't miss anything. The long sandy beach was only 5 minutes away and the surrounding nature is very beautiful. The house is in a quiet location. The area is highly recommended for hikers, cyclists and beach holidaymakers. There is a small supermarket in the immediate vicinity, several large supermarkets are in Ahus (6km). The only drawback were the bicycles on site. Unfortunately, they were not really usable. We recommend bringing your own bikes.

Summer holiday
Everything you need is available in the small house. Of course, because of the size, there is no wardrobe, but we didn't need one: it is amazing to notice how little a person needs to get dressed! Of course, if there had been a lot of bad weather, it would have been difficult to dry the clothes. Fortunately, Gotland is an island with few rainy days. Therefore, the space was sufficient for us.
We liked it very much and had a wonderful rest.

A truly peaceful and relaxing holiday in natural surroundings
We are enthusiastic holidaymakers in Sweden and Norway and were on Gotland for the first time. We were made aware of the houses through a recommendation. The booking of the cottage was uncomplicated and we were also accommodated on the day of arrival and departure. Ljugarn and the accommodation are very easy to reach from Visby and the description we received made it very easy for us to find our holiday home. On the way there, you pass several supermarkets in Visby that were also open on Saturdays and Sundays. There is also a larger shop in Ljugarn itself. The flat is very clean and in pristine condition and is equipped to a very high standard, there was really everything you could imagine. Radio, TV, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, fridge with freezer compartment, ceramic hob and oven, washing machine and much more. There was washing-up liquid, detergent and so on, the kitchen equipment was almost like at home. The buildings are located directly on the edge of the forest and are embedded in nature all around. You can listen to the birds chirping, rabbits, hedgehogs and foxes were also guests in the garden. The large terrace with plenty of seating and a large parasol invites you to have breakfast in the morning in wonderful peace and quiet, and there are plenty of places to eat in the surrounding area, which can be reached on foot or quickly by car. In a few minutes you can also walk through a beautiful forest to the beach. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest and we can recommend the holiday homes with a clear conscience. Our next Gotland holiday is already planned and we definitely want to stay in one of these holiday homes again.

Guesthouse Ljugarn // small holiday home
Hello everyone,
we have been to this house for the second time. It is great and modernly equipped, and for two people, it is completely sufficient, especially with the mostly good weather on Gotland. We will definitely come back...
Ljugarn is a small place, with everything you need, whether it's a small "mom-and-pop store" or a pub/restaurant -> everything is there!
Short statement about Gotland in general: simply fantastic! A little tip at this point for getting there: always book ferries directly with the shipping company.
Travel tips on Gotland: Faro, Visby, the southern tip of Gotland, or even take a two to three day trip to Stockholm -> takes about 5 hours each way by ferry and is definitely worth it (hotel recommendation in Stockholm: Hotel Tegnerlunden).

Small but nice
Great little house to get closer to each other. It's awesome to live in a house where the terrace is bigger than the kitchen-living room. But AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! and great!!!!! a great stay, you have everything you need!!!!! We will gladly come back and gladly spread the word!!!!!!!!!
As we ourselves have a house in Sweden (Marieannelund), the house is really great.

Small and cozy
The house is small but (as already described) very well planned and equipped. All necessary and useful things are also available for a longer stay, and everything is in very good and well-maintained condition (as of summer 2017). With two people, the space was not too cramped to endure for a long time (we stayed for three weeks). With good weather (which we had plenty of), you can also relax nicely on the terrace.
The location is on the outskirts of the village, at the end of a dead-end street, so it is very quiet. The forest begins directly behind the house and invites you to go for walks or bike rides. The Baltic Sea beach is only a few minutes' walk away. In the village, there is a bakery and a small supermarket, slightly better shopping options are available in Roma or Hemse, about 15-20 minutes' drive away. All in all, it's great for relaxing in peace. Gotland is worth a visit, and the little holiday home in Ljugarn provides a nice base for that.

Great holiday home near the sea
Nice, well-maintained holiday home in a quiet location at a fair price.
Only restrictions:
1. With four people and rainy weather (rare on Gotland!), it can get very cramped.
2. The staircase/ladder to the sleeping loft requires a certain level of agility, which may not necessarily be present in older generations.

Sommerurlaub 2015, kleines Ferienhaus Gotland Ljugarn
Auf den ersten Blick bei der Anfahrt habe ich mich angesichts der Größe des Ferienhauses erschreckt. Nach dem Betreten haben wir dann aber festgestellt, dass es sich hier um ein durchdachtes Konzept bei der Ausstattung handelt. Klein aber fein und sehr ordentlich und sauber. Die gesamte Ausstattung empfanden wir als für uns ausreichend und qualitativ gut. Die Betten im Spitzdach sind zwar nur in gebückter Haltung zu erreichen, wir haben dort aber gut genächtigt. Wir konnten deutsche Fernsehprogramme in guter Qualität empfangen. W-Lan gab es nicht.
Das Häuschen ist am Waldrand gelegen und daher sehr ruhig. Da wir durchweg gutes Wetter hatten war die Terrasse ein netter Ort den Tag zu beginnen und Abends ausklingen zu lassen.
Ein Fahrzeug ist in jedem Fall empfehlenswert da man zwar sehr naturnah, aber dementsprechende Wege zu Einkaufsmöglichkeiten etc. hat. Die zur Verfügung gestellten Fahrräder hatten Gangschaltung und befanden sich in einem guten Zustand.
Alles in Allem hatten wir einen schönen Urlaub in einer gemütlichen Ferienwohnung und einem guten, freundlichem Kontakt zu dem deutschen Vermieter.

Kleines Ferienhaus in Ljugarn
Sehr schön gelegen mit kleiner Terrasse zum frühstücken. Klein, alles drin und dennoch sehr gemütlich. Perfekt ausgestattet und vorbereitende Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter absolut vorbildlich. Sehr zu empfehlen!
