Description

Have vacation in this cosy old house in true vintage style with a fantastic view of the Baltic sea, the arcepoulage of Kristianopel where you can see the lighthouse Långe Jan in the south of the island Öland at clear weather. The house was built in 1881 and has three separate bedrooms on the 2nd floor. Except normal stove in the kitchen there is a wood stove and a beautiful seaview. In the living room there is a tile stove. The charming ground plot is a piece of land at the sea. It is a wonderful place to relax and play, a unique place on the countryside with a rich birdlife and open fields and at the same time insight protected.

There are many trails to walk in the forest nearby and beautiful nature to see.
In Bröms there is a shop with smoked fish and a café.

In the price the last cleaning and borrowing sheets and towels are always included. We cannot have pets due to allergy. it is forbidden to smoke inside the house. The neighbour Lundsborg also rents out cottages.

You can make daytrips from here to the Swedish kingdom of glass, to the cities Karlskrona, Karlshamn, Ronneby, Astrid Lindgrens Värld, to an elk park and Kalmar and to the island Öland for example. You can also take the ferry from Karlskrona to Poland or from Västervik to the island Gotland.

You may borrow a rowing boat and a couple of bikes during Your stay. The owners speak Swedish, English and German.

About 900 yds there is the picturesque and historical village Kristianopel with a small harbour, café, restaurants, bathing place by the sea, food store, pub, minigolf and interior design stores for example Marias Presenter Kristianopel.

35 km south there's Karlskrona, the city that was founded in 1680, when King Karl XI decided to establish the country's new naval base here. The Royal Navy Band of Sweden, the oldest military band in Sweden was founded here in 1685.

More than 300 years later the Naval base and the Royal Navy Band is still here in Karlskrona - the city where old meets new and tradition meets innovation and a Russian submarine (U137) met up in the 80's. In 1998, Karlskrona gained World Heritage Status and in june 2014 the Navy Band played at the opening of the new Submarine Hall - Two submarines in a spectacular building at the Naval Museum in Karlskrona.
The city has 65 000 inhabitants. Sweden's southernmost archipelago is composed of 1,650 islands, skerries and islets - from Hasslö in the west to Utlängan in the east. Savour blue days of wind, water, salt splashed rocks and glorious bays for bathing. Discover this chain of islands in your own way.

The town north, Kalmar has an old renaissance castle where old kings like Gustav Vasa, Erik XIV och Johan III have stayed. It's from here You may take the bridge over to the very popular island Öland where the King and Queen of Sweden have their summer residence.

Around happy

The holiday home from the 19th century is idyllically located directly on the archipelago between Karlskrona and Kalmar. It has a fully equipped kitchen, four bedrooms with a total of 9 beds spread over the ground floor and first floor. Perfectly suited for a family vacation with parents, children, and grandparents. The washing machine in the bathroom and the new flat-screen TV are practical and the icing on the cake. Due to its central location, you can take beautiful day trips to Karlskrona (boat tour to the archipelago, allotment garden settlement Brändholmen, Naval Museum, seal station in Torhamn, etc.) or Kalmar (Kalmar Castle or Öland Island) with a maximum travel time of one hour. Or simply visit the small beaches in Kristianopel, Torhamn, or Drägbo. Shopping options can be found directly in Kristianopel in a small shop (including fresh breakfast rolls) or in Jamjö, a well-stocked supermarket with tourist-friendly opening hours (daily from 6 am to 11 pm) which is a 15-minute drive away. The hostess Katja speaks very good German and English, was always very helpful and friendly. We felt very comfortable in this sweet holiday home and would love to come back.
