Description
Welcome to Stützerbach/Thuringia and especially to our holiday home Mey in a quiet location on the outskirts of the village, only 5 minutes walk from the village centre with shopping facilities.
The holiday home has a large garden, approx. 3000 m² with parking space, playground, sunbathing lawn, terrace with garden furniture and barbecue facilities
A stream flows below the house and you have a beautiful view of meadows, forest and the village of Stützerbach from the terrace
In the house you will find a living/dining room (renovated in 2013), a fitted kitchen with cooker, refrigerator, microwave with baking function, coffee maker and enough dishes, a bedroom with double bed and sofa bed, and a small bathroom with shower and toilet.

Location and surroundings of object
Our holiday home is located on the outskirts of Stützerbach at an altitude of approx. 700 m. The hiking trails to the Rennsteig and other excursion destinations start only 200 m away. The climatic health resort of Stützerbach 590-714 m above sea level is surrounded by beautiful forests and idyllic mountain meadows. It winds its way uphill to the Rennsteig, Germany's popular high-altitude hiking trail. The village has a storied past. The glassblowing trade has a long tradition. The first light bulb and the first functioning X-ray tube were made here.
Goethe visited Stützerbach several times. He was particularly impressed by the splendour of nature. On the Kickelhahn he wrote the famous poem: "Wandrers Nachtlied, über allen Wipfeln ist Ruh". It is one of the masterpieces of world literature
The village offers a good infrastructure such as: Local transport links, doctor's and dentist's surgeries, pharmacy and several inns with good cuisine and typical Thuringian specialities.

Lovingly furnished holiday home in beautiful surroundings
We have been guests of the Mey family several times and have always enjoyed it very much. The holiday home is very lovingly furnished, everything is available that belongs to a holiday home, there is a beautiful, large terrace, you live in the middle of the charming village of Stützerbach and yet in complete peace with a view of a meadow and trees, the bus stop is only 3 minutes away, in 10 minutes you are at the Rennsteig. Thank you very much - and we will be happy to come back!

Tolle Umgebung, in großen und ganzen gepflegtes Haus aber sehr eng
Wir wurden bei der Anreise freundlich empfangen und wurden zum Ferienhaus geführt. Es war alles wie beschrieben vorhanden. Eine schöne Terrasse und großer Garten rundet das Objekt ab. Negativ allerdings ist zu werten, das es ziehmlich eng ist. Bitte einzeln und nacheinander eintreten. und für mehr als 2 Personen ist dieses Haus nicht geeignet. Der Aufenthalts/Wohnraum ist ungünstig gestaltet. Wozu fast 50 Gläser in einem wuchtigen Schrank wenn schon ohnehin so wenig Platz? Auch 3 Essservice und alle möglichen Küchenmaschinen wenn man diese aus Platzgründen eh nicht nutzen kann.?
Für Singles oder Pärchen die ohnehin nur wenig Platz benötigen ;-), absolut zu empfehlen.
