Description
Our cosy, small holiday flat Backbord is located in the rear building of the Alte Schusterei. The flat is designed for 2 guests, has 3 rooms on the ground floor and 50 sqm.
We and our well-behaved pet dog Johnny also live in our house. Of course we stay in our garden. If this is not acceptable for you, then this flat is not well suited for you.
In your holiday flat there are:
A cosy bedroom with double bed (180 x 200 cm) where you can sleep nice and quiet
In the cute kitchen-cum-living room you will find a nice dining area and everything you need to prepare a small meal. A fridge with freezer compartment, toaster, kettle and coffee maker, cooker and oven are also available, as well as sufficient crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.
A beautiful living room with TV, sofa, armchair.
Of course, a clean bathroom with shower awaits you
The following equipment is available: 1 x bed linen p.p., 1 starter pack (2 kitchen towels, 1 dish sponge/cloth, 1 small washing-up liquid, 1 shower mat, 2 toilet rolls), free WiFi, games and books, magazines, CD player/radio. Linen package can be booked additionally
Garden furniture is available for you on the pretty terrace.... Barbecues and fires are not allowed there and on our entire property for our guests for insurance reasons. Bicycles can be parked under the veranda or in the shelter
A free parking space for 1 car is available (no motor homes, camping cars, trailers). If the parking space is not available, you must park on public land.

Location and surroundings of object
Behind the church, we are in the middle of the village but still in a quiet location. From here you can reach everything in the village very well on foot or by bike. There is a bicycle rental opposite the holiday flat. A boat rental, surfing area and a small bathing area at the harbour will delight our water sports enthusiasts.
The harbour in Wiek is always worth a walk. Here you can stroll a bit or have a fish sandwich. You can also take wonderful boat trips from there to the island of Hiddensee "das söte Länneken"
There is a shopping market in the village centre with a post office, a flower shop, fish stall, restaurants, bank, taxi, car repair shop, bus connection with bicycle trailer, doctor and physiotherapy. All this is within easy walking distance
Connections: Bus connection in the direction of Kap Arkona, Sagard, Sassnitz and Bergen (partly with bicycle trailer); during the season from Wiek harbour: boat connection from Wiek to the island of Hiddensee. Wittow ferry connection from over there (Wittow - Trent - Ummanz)
The Baltic Sea beach in Juliusruh or Dranske is about 6 km away by bike, on foot or by bus
The Störtebeker Festival is a great experience. The best way to get there is by pirate on the ship of the Kipp shipping company from the neighbouring village of Breege
Or make an excursion to Sassnitz and from there take a boat trip around the chalk cliffs
In any case, it's worth getting on your bike or lacing up your hiking boots!

Our flats are non-smoking flats.
The holiday flats are not equipped for the disabled.
Pets are not allowed.
The flats are not suitable for anglers and party guests
For insurance reasons, barbecues and fires are not allowed for guests on the entire property, the terraces and on the balcony.
1 car per holiday flat can be parked on our property (no trailers, caravans, motor homes, trailers). If the parking space is occupied, you must park on public land.
Bicycles can be parked in the shelter in the courtyard.

Robert and I - Michaela - are originally from Bavaria and bought the Alte Schusterei in February 2005 and renovated it under partly adventurous adventures and created three holiday flats as well as our own flat. Our house was first mentioned in an old purchase contract in 1776 In the Old Shoemaker's House, the craft of shoemaking was also practised under changing owners until 1994 and the old cottage was extended and converted for the respective needs of the inhabitants In the front hallway, medieval shoes and several cobbler's tools are displayed on an old cobbler's sewing machine from around 1890/1900. The craft of hand spinning is still practised in our house today. You are welcome to sit down and perhaps bring your knitting kit with you!
