Description
The large plot offers an unobstructed panoramic view over olives, vineyards and, in July, over beautifully blossoming sunflower fields and meadows. On one hill you can see Staffolo, on the other Maiolato Spontini and Monteroberto.
The 28 sqm flat has a tastefully furnished shower room, a kitchenette, a living room and bedroom and a private terrace. The flat is designed for two people, but there is enough space to put a cot. On request, a cot and a high chair can be borrowed free of charge.
To make your stay as pleasant as possible, we have fully equipped all flats. The built-in kitchenette has a refrigerator, an oven, two electric hotplates, an extractor bonnet and a sink. Crockery, glasses, cutlery, pots, pans, an Italian caffettiera, a German coffee machine and a kettle are also provided. The weekly change of bed linen and towels is included. A colour TV with satellite connection, Wi-Fi and a hairdryer are also at your disposal.
On the terrace (south side) in front of the entrance you can relax in a deck chair or in the evening with a glass of wine.

Location and surroundings of object
The lovingly restored rustico is located about two kilometres outside Staffolo in the direction of Cupramontana. The road is called Selva Comperseto and, as a district, groups together several surrounding farmhouses, farmsteads and rustici.
Stafffolo
The small village of Staffolo with its 2500 inhabitants, the Staffoloni, is situated 442 m above the Esino valley, 20 km southwest of Jesi and 58 km from the provincial capital Ancona, in the middle of the Verdicchio area. The name Staffolo is the Greek word for "grappolo" and means grape. In the wine cellar attached to the Museum of Rural Art, it is possible to taste the entire production from Staffolo and the Castelli di Jesi.
The centre of Staffolo is surrounded by an intact circular wall, which is largely covered with houses. On the main road through the town, which connects the two town gates Porta Venezia and Porta San Martino, there is the parish church of Sant' Egidio next to the former Franciscan monastery. On Palm Sunday there is a small procession through the town. During Holy Week and at Easter there are church services. For six years now, the Banda Musicale has organised a concert in the small theatre next to the Franciscan monastery on Easter Sunday, to which everyone is invited free of charge.
Daily necessities can be bought in Staffolo. There is a small supermarket with a fresh produce counter, several bakers, a pharmacy, a newsagent, the post office, a hairdresser, two bars, three restaurants, a tourist information office and an ATM. On Thursday mornings, a market is held within the town walls. The petrol station is in the Coste district, where there are also two large restaurants and a supermarket.
People like to party in Staffolo. In July, the Banda Musicale organises an international music group meeting. Since 1966, the Festa del Verdicchio, a colourful wine festival dedicated to the god Bacchus, with wine stalls and performances, has been held at the beginning of August. In September, the parish festival of Sant'Egidio and the nut festival take place. There is also a gastronomic prize, the "Verdicchio d'Oro" award. This is an award to journalists, artists and writers who have rendered outstanding services to wine.

Relaxed stay
This small but nice holiday flat has everything we needed for a relaxing spring holiday:
The furnishings are of high quality, friendly and cosy, everything was in a very clean condition. We felt really comfortable. We were able to relax and enjoy the evening sun on our own property with a spectacular view, and the kitchen equipment was perfectly adequate so that we were able to cater for ourselves from time to time. For us, food culture is an essential part of a holiday in Italy, so we tried out many of the surrounding restaurants (delicious!).
Since the holiday home is out of town, a car is indispensable. If you arrive by plane, it is best to arrange a rental car in advance. This way you can quickly get to Staffolo, the nearest village, where you can find various shopping facilities and restaurants. In addition, the whole area around Staffolo offers enough destinations to visit: the caves of Frasassi; the place of pilgrimage Loreto; Urbino, the birthplace of Raphael and the old town of Jesi. The capital of the region, Ancona, can also be reached in less than an hour, although it is not as attractive compared to the other destinations.
The owner of the flat knows the region very well and gave us lots of tips for excursions.
The mixture of relaxation "at home" and small day trips into the typical Italian surroundings was perfect for our requirements for a relaxing but not boring holiday.
recommend for: seniors, holiday with children, cultural and sightseeing holiday, romantic holiday
