The vacation home is located in a very beautiful and quiet location. It is very clean and nothing is missing. The landlords are very nice. Shopping, etc. in the immediate vicinity. Will come back in September. We felt very comfortable and relaxed.

Beautiful accommodation in a quiet location

We spent 12 days in this beautiful accommodation, which is sufficiently large and equipped with everything
We could safely store the bicycles in a large garden house.




After our bike tours, we rested comfortably on the bench in front of the house. This became our favourite place
In the garden we could enjoy the sun all day. The days were very relaxing.

Very well maintained holiday home

We spent our holiday in this holiday home in August 2020
We received a very friendly welcome from Mr Schulz on arrival. The house itself is very clean and well-kept, you notice that a lot of value is placed on making the guests feel comfortable. We found it very positive that bed linen and towels were provided. If we ever holiday in this region again, we will definitely choose this house again, as many beautiful destinations can be reached in a short time. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The location is beautifully quiet by the peat canal. It's also convenient not to bring your own bedding and towels.

Doris and Harald Schulz, the hosts, were friendly and helpful.

There were good shopping options in the area.

Very clean!!!

Great holiday home

We had a wonderful summer vacation at the Doris holiday home. We were warmly welcomed by Harald and Doris and we lacked nothing in the house. Everything was very well maintained and clean, and the terrace and small lawn invited us to linger. The village was very idyllic and you can really relax from the stressful everyday life. The nearby Idasee was perfect for cooling off and provided a beach feeling on hot days.

All in all, a great vacation. Thanks again to Harald and Doris.

Great and relaxing short break.

This house is highly recommended. We spent a few wonderful and relaxing days there. The house is super clean, towels and bed linen are included in the price, everything was perfect. The local attractions are quickly accessible, and the Ida Lake is inviting for swimming and water skiing. The contact with Mr. and Mrs. Schulz was wonderful; they made every effort to ensure that we could enjoy our stay there. Even our 12-year-old son enjoyed it so much that he wants to spend his vacation there again. We were able to relax wonderfully there. Thank you very much. ;-)

The complete package is just right here. You can tell Mr. and Mrs. Schulz are very passionate about making sure guests feel comfortable. Fully recovered ;-)

Dear Schulz family,

We had a very nice and, above all, relaxing vacation. This was due to the great little house with its optimal equipment and layout of the bedrooms, kitchen, and living room. Also, the location with almost no car traffic that invited us to take walks or even go on a bike tour (rentals are within walking distance).

There are many easily accessible destinations by car, such as the Ida Lake. Here you can even spend a nice day without paying an entrance fee. The cozy garden furniture rounded off the holiday.

So it was a holiday with great North Sea air and a very high recreational value, thank you.

We wish you continued good rental and many guests, you have our recommendation.

Refreshing...

...at the beginning was already the flexibility of the arrival time... certainly dependent on the booking status... but not a given! The landlords were very friendly and accommodating both by phone and in person, simply humanly attentive... no longer a matter of course! Being able to park the car right in front of the house (own entrance) also makes unloading the sometimes not insignificant amount of luggage easier. (we were there with three friends). Rinsing dishes by hand is not particularly burdensome. . . it can also be meditative ;-)
Our mobility-impaired friend had no problems in this apartment. . . everything on ground level and easily accessible, including the shower and toilet with support bars.
If we hadn't wanted to make ourselves comfortable at the table, we could have eaten off the floor. . .everything very clean and pleasant including the cabinets and kitchen utensils. The highlight: all the knives were sharp! My personal knife set remained unused. The apartment provides a good starting point for excursions in the area. A car is very helpful. Shopping opportunities and restaurants are easily reachable. Tips from the landlord are consistently good. Wi-Fi works reliably and the own small terrace with furniture is great. This apartment should be added to the list of very good accommodation options. The landlord, house, and vacation rental by the North Sea beamed. . . it would be my constant holiday destination.

Vacation in East Frisia 2016

We stayed there with our grandson and spent a few very nice days in the vacation rental. The apartment is absolutely sufficient and well equipped for 3 people. What especially impressed us was the cleanliness and neatness of the apartment. The landlords are very friendly and accommodating. Very beautiful holiday region - everything was quickly reachable by bike or car. Even the weather cooperated well. We would love to come back.

Great summer vacation 2015

A great and very, very well-equipped vacation apartment. The apartment is spotlessly clean. We were there with our 2 children. There was nothing missing! We felt very comfortable. The landlords are very friendly and helpful. We took many trips by bike. We drove by car to the outskirts of Papenburg, for example, and explored the city and the surrounding area by bike.

The house is well-equipped and very clean. Everything works perfectly. The rooms are sufficiently large, and there is enough space to store, for example, the suitcases. In a small shed, you can lock up your bicycles. The house is well-suited as a base for excursions throughout East Frisia and a good starting point for bike tours. East Frisia for relaxation

We, capital city Indians, were on vacation in East Frisia for the first time. A good accommodation is half the battle, as they say.

Here you feel comfortable, you can let your soul unwind and enjoy nature. The vacation rental is very well equipped, modernly furnished, and very spacious.

In the kitchen, we (slightly) missed having a dishwasher like our colleagues. A luxury problem :-), I know. The existing Wi-Fi may not be the fastest, but it is reliable and sufficient for online use.

The car parks safely and obediently on the property.

The landlords are nice and always ready to help.

Conclusion: A lovely holiday apartment in a prime and quiet location. Highly recommended.

This is how a vacation home should be

Very positive: everything included in the price, final cleaning, bed linen, plenty of hand and bath towels.
Clean, renovated holiday home, high-quality floors, tiles, and laminate. Wallpaper, curtains, furniture all tasteful and as good as new. Beds and mattresses top-notch. Very comfortable: pantry with freezer next to the kitchen. There is nothing left standing in the kitchen.
Thanks to free Wi-Fi, you can plan trips on your laptop and get information about the area. For cyclists, there is a lockable outbuilding for parking, where the beautiful garden furniture with new seat cushions is also stored, which you can of course also use. All in all, a highly recommended holiday home.

Spent a nice long weekend there. Main destination was Papenburg, left after breakfast and returned in the evening. Landlords are very nice people. Contact during the booking process was very pleasant. We were provided with a grill on the first evening. Brochures, maps, and WLAN were given to us upon arrival. The pictures match reality. Snow-white hand and bath towels in sufficient quantity and good quality. Beautiful new kitchen with complete equipment, freezer in the storage room. Everything is present as described. We immediately felt very comfortable.

Basecamp for geocachers

This year, we wanted to spend a week geocaching in the "lowlands" and found the perfect starting point for our explorations in the holiday home Doris, where we could plan our trips very well thanks to the available Wi-Fi. The accommodation was so perfect that we even forgot our departure day. Thanks to our super nice landlords, we were allowed to stay one more night. All in all, this holiday home is highly recommended.

Relaxing holiday for two in a great vacation home.....

My wife and I were guests at the Doris holiday home in beautiful Ostrhaudherfehn for a week in June. We had a great time. The holiday home exceeded our expectations. The Fehnhaus has been wonderfully renovated and is also technologically up to date. The landlords are very attentive to cleanliness and have taken care of our well-being in the background, managing not to disturb us unnecessarily during the week.

free time activities: Idealfür Radtouren, Wanderungen, Schwimmen und Angeln...

shopping facilities: Super!! Es gibt grössere Einkaufzentren direkt in Ostrhauderfehn, aber auch in Idafehn. Weitere Zentren zum Einkaufen sind nicht allzu weit entfernt..z.B. LLeer, Papenburg,etwas weiter (ca. 40 km) ist dann noch Oldenburg zu erwähnen.

Relaxed vacation with good value for money

I admit it: A vacation in East Frisia was not at the top of my priority list. However, since we couldn't manage to book another vacation and I came across this nice apartment on eBay classifieds, we drove to Ostrhauderfehn quite spontaneously and without great expectations. I was pleasantly surprised and can only recommend both the apartment and the area after the vacation: Beautiful nature, a nice small village with numerous channels, plenty of opportunities for activities, friendly people, ideal for cycling, even with children. The apartment is very clean and excellently furnished with three rooms, kitchen, bathroom, and a storage room with freezer and space for supplies and beverage crates. The landlords are very friendly and fond of children and are always available for questions. Sure, Lake Ida is not the North Sea, but much less crowded with great swimming opportunities for young and old. After a day of tourist crowds on Norderney, we were happy to return to Ostrhauderfehn in the evening! We will definitely come back!

Vicinity of the holiday home: Ostrhauderfehn ist ein netter kleiner Ort, der ein wenig an die Niederlande erinnert. Viele kleine Kanäle mit malerischen Brücken, toll um die Gegend mit dem Fahrrad zu erkunden. Die Ferienwohnung ist frisch renoviert und super ausgestattet, die Vermieter sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

free time activities: Wer möchte, kann immer etwas unternehemn, sowohl in der nahen (Schiffsmuseum, Idasee toll zum Baden und Wasserskifahren) als auch in der etwas weiteren Umgebung (Papenburg/Werft, tolle Fahrradstrecke nach Leer mit Überfahrt auf handangetriebener Fähre. Tagesfahrten in's schöne Oldenburg, in die Kunsthalle Emden oder auf die Inseln möglich. Ein Traum für Angler!

shopping facilities: In wenigen Minuten erreicht man per Fahrrad einen Sparmarkt, der auch am Sonntag alle Dinge des täglichen Bedarfs incl. Brötchen anbietet. 10-15 Fahrradminuten entfernt sind weitere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Kroatisches Restaurant in fußläufiger Entfernung und viele weitere gute Möglichkeiten, sich kulinarisch verwöhnen zu lassen. Super: Fahrradtour in die kleine Milchbar, die vielfältige Produkte aus regionaler Milch und Kaffee und Tee anbietet.

We spent a long weekend at the Doris house and were absolutely satisfied. There is nothing to complain about. Some hotels could take a leaf out of this house’s cleanliness book. If you want a relaxing holiday, this is the perfect place. We will definitely come back ;-)

Everything's fine

We were welcomed very kindly, everything gleamed with cleanliness. Those seeking peace are in very good hands here. The house is definitely worth recommending, as it is a place to feel good and relax.

Perfect for a peaceful holiday.

We were there for a few days and it was very nice. Very nice holiday home, quiet location and perfect for a peaceful vacation. Our children liked it so much that they didn't want to go home. We can only recommend the holiday home Doris and will definitely come back there again.

Vicinity of the holiday home: Sehr ruhige und saubere Umgebung mit freundlichen, hilfsbereiten Menschen.

free time activities: Bis zum 19. Okt. 2014 kann man die Landesgartenschau in Papenburg besuchen. Das Fehn- und Schiffahrtsmuseum in Rhauderfehn ist schnell mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Auch Bootstouren werden angeboten. Der nahgelegene Idasee hat mit seiner Wassersportanlage einiges zu bieten und auch Angler kommen auf Ihre Kosten....In den Kanälen/ Gewässern kann man für 10,-€ 2 Jahre angeln!

shopping facilities: Mit Auto und auch Fahrrad kann man schnell an jeder Ecke einen Supermarkt, Bäcker und Restaurants finden.
