Idyllically situated in Extertal, between the Teutoburg Forest and the Weserbergland, our holiday home awaits your visit. It is a very cosy and lovingly furnished wooden house in Scandinavian style. The house has a living space of 70 m2 on two floors and is perfectly suitable for a holiday for up to 5 people. Dogs are welcome. Free wifi!

On the grounds of the holiday park, at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, lies the holiday home in a wonderfully sunny location. Only a few steps away from the edge of the forest, in the middle of a nature reserve, stands our Scandinavian-style wooden house

The holiday home settlement is situated in Extertal, on the edge of the Teutoburg Forest and borders on the foothills of the Weserbergland. Here, as there, there are picturesque villages, castles and palaces, as well as many interesting excursion destinations.
Be it the Patensteig with its four waterfalls, which can be hiked in the immediate vicinity, or the possibility of water skiing on the grounds of the Stemmer water recreation centre, or riding a mountain bike through the meadows and forests.
Rinteln attracts visitors with its historic old town, and from here it is possible to take a boat trip on the Weser or explore the landscape by trolley.
Many half-timbered towns with their sights are inviting. There is Bückeburg with the castle and mausoleum of the Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe, as well as the world's only helicopter museum in the town centre. The cathedral city of Minden boasts the Porta, the Kaiser Wilhelm Monument, which lies above the "Great Weser Arch" - an Eldorado for water enthusiasts.
There is a wide range of excursion destinations, from the Hohenstein near Hessisch Oldendorf, Germany's northernmost stalactite cave in Langenfeld or the Schaumburg, which gave its name to the neighbouring district.
Hameln and the Pied Piper performance in summer in front of the Wedding House are just as worth seeing as the old Hanseatic town of Lemgo and the Bad Pyrmont Zoo.
A tour to Detmold should be combined with climbing the Externsteine, the view from the Hermannsdenkmal and a flight demonstration at the Adlerwarte Berlebeck.
But the Westphalian Open Air Museum in Detmold, with its more than 100 buildings, must also be included.
You can spend an eventful day at the Tropicana adventure pool in Stadthäger or the Dinosaur Park in Münchehagen, the largest open-air dinosaur museum in Germany.

Cosy house in a good location
I spent 4 very nice days in the cosy little house and felt very comfortable. I particularly liked the location, as the forest is only a few metres away from the house and you can start hiking immediately.
One comment, however, would be that dishcloths (and at least 1 kitchen roll) should be part of the kitchen equipment and should not be part of the bookable laundry package.
I would definitely recommend the house to others.

Cosy holiday home
Beautiful and cosy holiday home with everything you need. As dog owners, we especially liked the location right next to the forest.
You can go on beautiful walks and visit romantic half-timbered towns. The fireplace and the sauna were a special highlight for us in winter, as the weather was unfortunately bad, so we would prefer summer. But perfect as a short break !
Nice landlords, we would love to come back!

Ferienhaus der Fam. Kerkhoff
Das Häuschen in der Siedlung finden brauch nicht all zu lang. Und gerade jetzt im Herbst entschädigt die Wunderschöne Lage vieles, z.B.das Einkaufsmöglichkeit nicht direkt/schnell erreichbar sind (1/4Std.).
Ich denke im Sommer ist es wegen der Bewaldung drumherum gut beschattet, wobei es auch sommenduchflutete Ecken gibt.
Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht und ein Glanzpunkt war für uns die Sauna. Gerade jetzt im Herbst - super. Das Haus ist mit viel liebe zum Detail eingereicht - skandinavischer Stiel.
Alles in allem, haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und fühlen uns gut aufgehoben und betreut (DANKE Frau Meier).
Unbedinge empfehlenswert!!

Deserves a recommendation
We spent a short holiday there. The keys were handed over by numerical code and all other questions were answered on the phone or in person. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the peace and quiet. We would definitely recommend the holiday flat. If you need a few days of peace and quiet from the stress of everyday life and city life, you are definitely in the right place. Animal parks, the Hermann monument etc. are easy to reach by car. There is something for everyone. Whether big or small. We will definitely be back next year! Many thanks to the Kerkhoff family for the cosy cottage where you can feel completely at home. And a big thank you to Mrs Meier for answering all our questions as quickly as possible. Erholsames Ferienhaus
Mitte Juni haben wir, meine Frau und ich eine erholsame Woche im Ferienhaus Kerkhoff verbracht. Es zeichnet sich durch absolute Ruhe im Wald auf einem Bergrücken gelegen aus. Wir haben jeden Tag eine Wanderung gemacht. Wandern kann man sofort ab Ferienhaus, man befindet sich sofort auf Waldwegen.
Besonders der freundliche und hervorragende Service von Frau von der Heide als Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort war sehr erfreulich.
Meine Frau habe ich mit dem Romantikpaket überrascht was Frau von der Heide toll hergerichtet hatte.
Das Haus war mit allem komplett ausgestattet, ist sehr gemütlich und für bis zu 5 Personen räumlich gut geeignet.
Wir können es absolut weiter empfehlen.

Ferienhaus Kerkhoff
Sehr gemütlich, alles vorhanden. Das Haus haben wir so vorgefunden, wie man es sich wünscht. Wir werden es wieder buchen. Leider gibt es keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten die in der Nähe sind. Wandern direkt vom Haus. Mit Hund ideal.

Einfach Super!
Wir hatten ein tolles und sehr erholsames verlängertes Wochenende. Eine super einfache und unkomplizierte Buchung bei den Vermietern. Die Schlüsselhalterin hat uns sehr nett empfangen und ist jederzeit zu erreichen. Das Haus ist sehr freundlich und gemütlich eingerichtet. Ganz großes Plus waren die Sauna und der Ofen. Einfach super zum abschalten und erholen. Auf jeden Fall weiterzuempfehlen!

Super ferienhaus
Wir haben uns vom 1 moment an wie zu hause gefühlt. Alles ist vorhanden . Besonders toll ist der kamin und die sauna. Alles ist gemütlich eingerichtet und die landschaft ist traumhaft. Haben sofort neu gebucht.

Calmer and
Ideal if peace, relaxation and nature are important to you. The terrace is situated in such a way that the sun shines from midday until evening. Although it was February, sunbathing was possible every day. In the evening, with a clear view, the starry sky can be enjoyed wonderfully without light pollution after the sauna. All in all, a successful holiday.

Erholung
Hier konnten wir uns sehr gut erholen. Es ist ruhig und wir haben viel schöne Natur um uns herum.

Abschaltwoche
Wir haben jetzt zum wiederholten Mal eine Auszeit in ihrem Ferienhaus genossen. Auch Ende Februar sind schöne Wanderungen in der Umgebung drin. Unpraktisches Wetter haben wir mit Sauna, Kaminofen und und dem ausgezeichneten Ambiente des Hauses locker hinter uns gelassen.
Auch unser Hund war bestens zufrieden. Wir kommen wieder.
PS: Das Heizen des Hauses war mit dem neuen Kaminofen problemlos möglich.
