A holiday in Mattinata bay is the ideal solution for people seeking sun, sea , nature and relax. Recommended excursions by boat or car to admire numerous wonderful bays , sea caves and naturally the Faraglioni of Puglia, (big rocks standing in the sea) symbol of Gargano.
Our holiday home consists of a well equipped kitchen-living room, a quiet double bedroom and bathroom with a shower. It is approximately 50 square meters (540 square feet).

The furnishings of the living room are simple and comfortable. Here you will find one or two twin beds . In the living room you will also find a cooking area. Meals are made easy in the beautiful fully stocked kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, microwave oven, refrigerator with freezer , Italian and american-style coffee-maker, all utensils, accessories, dishes, pots and pans. The dining table can accommodate four guests. In this room you will find a television and all the maps and travel guides and information about Puglia

Welcome in Puglia!
Puglia (poo-lia), the heel of the boot, is the perfect holiday destination, offering not only some of Italy's loveliest beaches but also a sublime climate, a series of fascinating towns, a number of important archaeological sites and, last but certainly not least, an excellent culinary tradition bristling with local specialty! The olives, fish and both red and white wine are fabulous and are an integral part of any holiday in the region. The weather is warm throughout the year and July and August are full of local and international festivals. Puglia's history is inextricably linked with those of other Mediterranean countries and the invaders who came from afar: the ancient Greeks, the Romans, the Byzantines, the Normans, Emperor Fredrick II and the Spanish Bourbons. All left their imprint in some tangible way.
The beautiful Gargano area is within the province of Foggia and coincides with the homonimus promontory. The Gargano is a rocky spur that covers a portion of the coastline of more than 60 km. It shows a succession of lovely bays, coves, caves and small hills. What is most striking is the beauty of nature, remained largely intact and not violated by humans. In the Gargano everything has remained as in ancient times. You will find the small fishermen's houses perched in the most unexpected places, solid stone walls that separate the territories and, above all, the wonderful crystal clear sea, that charms and bright. The Gargano Promontory offers a complete vacation environment with many interesting things to see and do. In one place you have the sea with many good beaches, the Foresta Umbra National Park with many hiking trails, lakes, medieval towns with picturesque historic centers, important religious pilgrimage sites, and fantastic food. Except in the forest, much of the Gargano is covered with citrus groves and olive trees. The Gargano Promontory juts out into the Adriatic Sea in the northeast of the Puglia region, in Foggia province (see Puglia Map). While Puglia is often called the heel of the boot, Gargano is referred to as the boot's spur.
Mattinata (whose name means “morning”), which features an enormous sandy –cobblestone beach, but is mostly immerged in a swathe of centuries-old olive tree groves. Not only olives, but almond trees define Mattinata - thus it is known varyingly as the “Land of Almonds” or the “White Butterfly of Gargano”. The latter is attributed to the peculiar form designed by the visual mix of white houses nestling in the hills. If you love nature and archaeology, take a walk along the seaside and enjoy the fantastic view of the sea. Discover also the Bronze Age necropolis of Monte Saraceno with over 500 rock-cut tombs or trekking along another path to Monte Sacro where you will find the impressive ruins of the Abbazia Benedettina della à. Throughout the summer month's there are also a lot of musical events, modern and traditional. The most popular is called “Notte Bianca”, a unique possibility to discover some of the most ancient traditions of the region, its costumes, food, wine and music.

Mattinata is perfect base to discover and explore the local region of Gargano. Highlights include the beautiful coastal road south of Gargano - with views and grottos, it is often likened to the Amalfi coast - and the long beaches close to the town and don’t forget the unspoilt Tremiti Islands.
This seaside town is an ideal base to discover surrounding towns and cities . Just to give you an idea of distances: Mattinata to the following places – Manfredonia 15km , Monte Sant’Angelo km18, San Giovanni Rotondo km 25, Vieste 40km,Peschici km60, Foggia km58.
*Monte Sant' Angelo is the highest point on the promontory (840 meters above sea level). The town has a charming and picturesque historic center (one of the best in Puglia), a castle, Tancredi Museum of traditional life, 13th century frescoes in the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, and the interesting pilgrimage Sanctuary of the Archangel Michael where you can visit the grotto and two museums. The Sanctuary is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Longobards in Italy - Places of the Power, an inscription that includes 7 important Longobard churches and monuments dating from the 6th to 8th centuries.
*Peschici has a small historic center and nice views of the sea. In the center is an interesting recreation of a one-room house, typical of the town through the early 20th century.
*Vieste, sea-front town on the tip of the peninsula.
*Padre Pio Sanctuary in San Giovanni Rotondo is a very popular pilgrimage site. There is a museum dedicated to Padre Pio and visitors can see his tomb. The new Padre Pio Pilgrimage Church was designed by Renzo Piano to accommodate the large number of pilgrims.
*Foresta Umbra, a national park, is the forested center of the peninsula. There are many hiking trails.

Finalmente una vacanza al mare senza stress
Un'ottima soluzione per una vacanza al mare SENZA STRESS. Casa con parcheggio riservato tutto conforme a quanto indicato nella mail e nelle foto ricevute.La posizione è perfetta per chi ama il mare e allo stesso tempo vuole visitare i tanti luoghi meravigliosi che la Puglia offre. Inoltre abbiamo molto apprezzato le guide turistiche messe a disposizione per gli ospiti che abbiamo trovato nell'abitazione e che ci hanno permesso di conoscere il suggestivo Gargano non solo come posto di mare, ma anche di arte e cultura.

A lovely place to come home to after exploring all this region has to offer
A very comfortable house. It was so clean and fresh on arrival and we got off to a good start. We loved eating outside. It is a wonderful location for exploring the pretty coastal towns, beaches and mountains nearby and we also took a trip to Matera. We especially loved the nice little town of Mattinata. Short holiday in Mattinata. All in all, highly recommended.
Mattinata is very easy to reach from the motorway. The place was not overrun by tourists. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance for your daily needs. The place is very clean and quiet. Absolutely recommendable for families with children. The holiday home was top. Although we were unfortunately only there for 5 days, we felt very comfortable. Very tasteful furnishings - everything available for self-catering - especially now in Corona time! I found the very good mattresses very good and therefore also remarkable. Sleeping was a pleasure. The cleanliness was also very good. Everything was exactly as described and we felt very comfortable.

Mattinata as a holiday destination
The location and the house are just great!
The furnishings are amazing. Nothing is missing. Very nice and friendly welcome and handover of keys. The house was as clean as we have ever experienced in a holiday home. Move in and feel at home.
Mattinata is a very nice little town with lots of good restaurants, shopping and bars. It was a fun and entertaining experience to go to the bakery every morning for bread, nice people and especially good bread. The same goes for the fishmonger, and the butcher, and the little "mini market" in Corso Matino. Yes, it is just fantastic, especially now in late summer-autumn when there are not as many tourists as in summer. Can recommend the app "Gargano App Coast", excellent travel planner for sights and excursion destinations in the Gargano.

Casa con splendida vista sul mare e sull'intera Baia di Mattinata
È il secondo anno che veniamo nel Gargano.Questa volta ho scelto la soluzione offerta da C., persona veramente gentile e disponibile (che ringrazio pubblicamente). La casa è praticamente sul mare, soluzione ideale per chi come noi ha un bimbo (o più), la spiaggia è realmente a pochi attimi di distanza. Stra-ultra consigliato se volete passare delle vacanze in totale relax, senza doversi spostare continuamente in macchina per raggiungere la spiaggia o cercare un parcheggio quasi sempre a pagamento.Qui...casa,parcheggio e spiaggia sono praticamente tutti "attaccati" La posizione è favolosa, si può uscire tranquillamente a piedi per un gelato o per una cena. Il Gargano è un incanto,colmo di zone spettacolari,paesaggi mozzafiato e acque cristalline.

Great holiday in Apulia!
We truly enjoyed our two-week stay in the vacation rental. Being closer to the sea would mean being in the sea. Fortunately, as expected, we were greeted every morning by the sun rising just across the sea.
Even if you don't want to spend the whole day at the sea, the surrounding area or the coast offers a variety of great excursion opportunities.

Besser geht es kaum!
Wir hatten eine super Zeit im Haus am Strand! Die Zimmer sind sehr gepflegt und liebevoll eingerichtet und wir wurden herzlich empfangen und auch verabschiedet. Das Wetter war leider nicht so gut ansonsten ist ein Garten mit direktem Strandzugang zu genießen . Außerdem gibt es in Laufentfernung mehre Cafés oder Restaurants. Catia ist eine kompetente und liebevolle Gastgeberin. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Jederzeit wieder
Das Ferienhaus sauber und hell liegt optimal,man hat praktisch alles vor der Tür. Ein Restaurant/Pizzeria liegt direkt unterhalb des Hauses an der Promenade und zum anderen Restaurant braucht man nur über die Straße zu gehen. Auch ein kleiner Laden, wo man alles wichtige bekommt und jeden Morgen frische Brötchen kaufen kann ist ca. 300 Meter vom Haus entfernt und sogar mit den Hausschuhen bequem zu erreichen. Standplatz für KFZ vorhanden. Vermieterin super nett und flexibel bei Anreisezeit.

We really enjoyed out stay here.
The property was easy to find .
The house is such a special place, in an excellent location close to the sea. The rooms are all well equipped with absolutely everything someone could want for a pleasant vacation.The rooms remained refreshingly cool while it was warm outside. Moreover, and important to me, the house was very clean! The owners are very nice, warm, and accommodating, always willingly to help and give any type of information we needed in order to make our stay nice and comfortable.
The accommodations, the location, and the hospitality of the owners definitely impressed me.
We drove to Vieste,Peschici and Monte sant'Angelo, easily reached, enjoying both the beaches and the town centres. The smaller towns, closer by, are also interesting and of course Mattinata is a superb place.

SO NAH AM STRAND!
Die Beschreibung in der Anzeige entspricht der Realität, man geht aus dem Haus und ist direkt am Strand.So nah haben wir noch nie am Meer gewohnt. Diese Meeresnähe haben wir immer schon gesucht. Das Haus ist gemütlich eingerichtet. Es fehlt an nichts. Sehr ordentlich und sauber.
Die Lage des Hauses ist hervorragend: es liegt direkt am Strand und am Fuße des Ortes. Beide bieten eine tolle Kulisse für einen schönen Urlaub.
In der Nähe eines Einkaufs-Getränkemarktes sowie Cafés und Restaurants so dass man im Urlaub sein Auto komplett stehen lassen kann. Wir möchten im Urlaub total entspannen und nicht noch einen Parkplatz suchen müssen.
Von der Buchungsanfrage bis zur Abreise alles sehr unkompliziert.
Die Betreuung liess keine Wünsche offen. Auch wenn wir spätabends angerufen haben konnten wir immer die Vermieterin erreichen.
Wir können das Haus reinen Gewissens auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen. Besonders die Nähe zum Meer ist unbezahlbar.
Danke für den schönen Urlaub.Wir werden wieder kommen, das versprechen wir.

IL MASSIMO DELLA COMODITA'...
Non è il mio primo soggiorno in questa proprietà e spero di tornare ancora.
Splendido Gargano! Posti incantevoli, tempo caldo e soleggiato hanno fatto da cornice ancora una volta alle nostre ferie!La casa super confortevole, immersa nel verde di un uliveto, ha reso il nostro soggiorno comodo e rilassante! A questo si aggiunga l'estrema gentilezza e disponibilità dei proprietari, rintracciabili praticamente 24h!
L'abitazione ha messo d’accordo tutta la mia famiglia poiché oltre alle caratteristiche citate vi è principalmente la comodità….a pochi secondi dal mare e da tutto ciò che serve ( ottimi ristoranti, noleggio bici, ecc… ). PUNTO DI FORZA: la notevole vicinanza alla spiaggia e il silenzio.La location è ottima per chi non ama il caos...il paese è piccolo e tranquillo...
Consiglio di prenotare con molto anticipo perché i proprietari non ne hanno altre!

"BELLA ITALIA"
Wir können uns den vorangegangenen Bewertungen zu 100 Prozent anschliessen.
Das Fh ist wirklich hübsch und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet.
Sehr sauber,gepflegt und wie in der Anzeige beschrieben. Alles, was man zum täglichen Leben benötigt, ist vorhanden.
Auch bei hohen Außentemperaturen (27°/31°) war es innerhalb der Wohnung bei geöffneten Fenstern luftig und gut auszuhalten.
Die Lage des Hauses ist hervorragend: es liegt direkt am Strand und am Fuße des Ortes. Beide bieten eine tolle Kulisse für einen schönen Urlaub. Ein kleiner Supermarkt ist in unmittelbarer Nähe. Der Strand und das Wasser sind sehr sauber, das Wasser ist zudem sehr klar und präsentiert sich in schönen Blautönen. Man kann von Mattinata sehr schöne Ausflüge machen.Die Umgebung ist sehenswert, besonders geeignet für Wanderer.
Frau C. ist eine liebenswerte nette Dame, gibt super Tipps für die Umgebung,sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit.
Danke für diesen tollen Aufenthalt und der Warmherzigkeit!

E' STATO DAVVERO UN BEL SOGGIORNO!
"E' da anni che giriamo l'Italia e, raramente abbiamo potuto constatare una così perfetta corrispondenza tra quanto riportato nell'annuncio e nelle testimonianze e l'abitazione scelta, come in questo caso.Anzi,direi che è migliore.
La prima impressione è la pulizia veramente molto accurata.La casa è corredata di tutto quanto possa necessitare, compreso le zanzariere.Abbiamo molto apprezzato la comodità dei materassi e dei cuscini forniti di salvamaterassi e federe igienici .
Un grazie e una nota di merito alla proprietaria, non solo per l'accoglienza e l'ospitalità, ma anche per gli utilissimi suggerimenti (dove andare,cosa vedere, ristoranti della zona...consigliamo Monsignore e masseria Liberatore dove si mangia benissimo e si raggiungono a piedi). Le sue indicazioni precise e dettagliate ci hanno consentito di visitare in pochi giorni i posti più significativi della zona. Inoltre non ci si annoia mai perché oltre al mare,il Gargano è pieno di luoghi carini da visitare, borghi antichi, frantoi, torri saracene,chiese.Peccato solo non essersi fermati per almeno due settimane. Torneremo sicuramente!"

Das Ferienhaus ist bequem aufgeteilt (Küche, Zimmer, Bad). Sanitätsanlage und Dusche funktionieren einwandfrei. Das Bett mit guter Matratze.
Kontakt mit der Vermieterin leicht und problemlos.Alle Absprachen wurden zu 100 % eingehalten.
Im Appartment gibt es schöne Broschüren (auf Deutsch) über Apulien, mit Bildern, Beschreibungen und Stadtlagen was eindeutig hilfreich ist, nichts Sehenswertes zu verpassen.
Ich werde meinen Freunden empfehlen, den Urlaub hier zu verbringen.
Liebe Catia, wir haben tolle Tage in Mattinata und wir kommen irgendwann mal wieder. Danke.
P.s Den Markt in Mattinata (Donnerstag) sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen.

"This is one of the places we would recommend all our friends for a stay in Italy: situation, neighborhood, view, equipment: just perfect and exactly as described. But what makes it really special is the fast and friendly communication before our arrival and the warm and helpful reception when we arrived.The owners were friendly and helpful.We felt they were attentive and kind.
Ideal Location! This villa is steps from sea, restaurants and cafes.We felt the location was ideal because it was so close to everything but still very private.The inside of the villa was clean and well appointed. We cooked in the kitchen all the time and had plenty of dishes, pots... The beds were very comfortable and clean. We fell in love with this villa and Gargano. For my first holiday in Italy I could not have asked for a better place. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

BREF UNE LOCATION A' PRENDRE LES YEUX FERMES !
Nous avons passé un séjour fantastique, les propriétaires sont très gentils et accueillants.
La maison superbement bien située et agréable à vivre correspond parfaitement au descriptif. . Il y a tout ce dont on a besoin à proximité. De plus la plage situè à 20/30m est splendide.
La petite ville de Mattinata et la région en général du Gargano sont magnifiques pour ceux qui apprécient l'Italie du sud.
Que du bonheur j''y retournerai".

ALLES BESTENS!
Es war bereits unser zweite Urlaub in Mattinata. Wir lieben diesen Ort. Wir fahren immer Anfang Juni dahin. Wir können NICHTS negatives berichten. Für uns war der Urlaub ein absoluter Volltreffer.Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und uns wunderbar erholt.Ich würde es für Leute empfehlen die Ruhe suchen. Ein Boot mieten oder ähnliches ist zu empfehlen. Man hat die Möglichkeit einige einsame Strände mit dem Boot zu erreichen. Einen ganz lieben Dank an Catia, die überaus gastfreundlich war und uns stets behilflich war, wenn wir Fragen hatten. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Puglia al TOP!
Alloggio molto confortevole e dotato di ogni attrezzatura necessaria. C'è una veranda sulla quale si mangia molto comodamente. In casa abbiamo trovavo ogni tipo di accessorio che possa essere utile (sdraie, spiaggine e ombrellone), viaggiando in aereo e dovendo quindi limitare il peso dei bagagli è importante sapere di avere a disposizione tutto l'occorrente, anche quelle cose che possono sembrare inutili. Comodissimo soprattutto per famiglie con bambini per il particolare contesto e per la vicinanza al mare, esci di casa e sei praticamente in spiaggia.
Innumerevoli le spiagge della zona, una più bella dell'altra.
Il litorale della costa di Mattinata è di rara bellezza:falesie, grotte marine e la suggestiva Baia delle Zagare,nota per i caratteristici faraglioni.
Da sottolineare la gentilezza (abbiamo anche ricevuto in regalo una bottiglia di olio extra vergine d'oliva,fichi,limoni,zucchine... )e la discrezione dei proprietari, presenti per qualsiasi necessità, indicazione o consiglio su spiagge, luoghi da visitare o dove mangiare.Vicinato molto cordiale.
Splendida vacanza, esperienza sicuramente da ripetere.Grazie di tutto PUGLIA!

WOHLFÜHLFAKTOR 100 %
Eine sehr ordentliche, gepflegte und saubere Unterkunft , die uns super gut gefallen hat.
Die Umgebung war wunderschön mit einem herlichen Ausblick.Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und uns wunderbar erholt. Besonders haben wir die Ruhe genossen.
Interessante Ausflüge in alle Richtungen.
Auch wenn die Küche sehr komplett ausgestattet war, gehen wir im Urlaub sehr gerne Essen. Und da ist die Auswahl in Mattinata gigantisch. Von Fischrestaurants bis zur Steinofenpizza ist alles dabei.Alles nicht mehr als fünf Gehminuten entfernt.
Einen ganz lieben Dank an Catia, die überaus gastfreundlich war und uns stets behilflich war, wenn wir Fragen hatten. Wir kommen bestimmt irgendwann wieder.Danke für die schöne Zeit.

Dal momento dell'arrivo...
Dal momento dell’arrivo, fino alla partenza, la disponibilità e la cortesia della proprietaria ci ha fatto sentire “a casa”. L’ abitazione è bella, funzionale, comoda e quieta. Casa e biancheria pulita in modo ineccepibile.
Il centro di Mattinata , a due passi, è un luogo accogliente, con pasticcerie, negozi tipici, dove comperare prodotti unici da assaporare nella comodità della casa o da cui partire alla scoperta di ristoranti e trattorie tipiche.
Torneremo sicuramente e la consiglio a tutti senza riserve in quanto le descrizioni e le foto fornite sono totalmente esatte.

Un endroit idéal, à 2 pas de la plage!
Habitués aux hotels,nous avons voulu renouer à prendre une location.Nous avons fait un très bon choix.
La maison est conforme en tous points au descriptif et l'accès à la plage est vraiment à quelque secondes à pieds.
Nous avons passé une agréable séjour dans cette villa vraiment en bord de mer et avons pu profiter du climat plus doux qu'en France en cette saison.
La villa est bien située pour rayonner dans les environs. Mattinata est une charmante petite commune, célèbre pour ses plages et sa mer cristalline. Située dans la Parc National du Gargano, Mattinata se trouve entre deux collines, s’étendant le long d’un trait de côte recouvert d’oliviers et de bois et entouré de mer.
Les habitants sont très accueillants et les commerçants comme les restaurateurs offrent des produits de qualité à des tarifs très modérés. Nous avons déguster bon vin, fromage et spécialités régionales.
Nous avons été très sensibles à l'attention que nous a porté la propriétaire. Nous la remercions pour tous ces bons conseils sur la region... nos vacances ont été tres réussies.
Nous espérons revenir et profitez encore de la mer, du climat et des beaux paysages.

UN'OASI DI PACE
Scoperto un altro pezzetto d'Italia con Mattinata.
Abbiamo soggiornato in un contesto geografico che merita molto e soprattutto in un alloggio che ha soddisfatto tutte le nostre esigenze. La locazione è pulitissima,tranquilla,fresca,accogliente,attrezzata e lontana da ogni forma di inquinamento acustico (dormire con il solo canto degli uccellini in mezzo agli ulivi non ha prezzo).
La spiaggia poi...è talmente vicina! Vicinato gentile e, soprattutto una cosa che per noi è molto importante, è molto silenzioso.
Finalmente, per una volta non siamo stati costretti ad inventarci gite e passeggiate forzate per sfuggire agli spazi angusti di alloggi che non rispecchiano la proposta su internet, perché il relax e la praticità della casa in oggetto regala godibilissimi momenti di ozio in veranda o all'ombra della pineta.
Ma il tocco che ha fatto la differenza è stata la gentililissima accoglienza e disponibilità dei proprietari.
Consigliatissimo!
