Postira auf der Insel Brač: picturesque village with crystal-clear water and historical charm.
Postira is a small village located on the north side of the island of Brač, between Splitska and Pučišća. Postira was first mentioned by the name Postirna (from Lat. pastura - the pasture) in 1347. Among the stone houses of the former Brač landowners in the harbor, the Lazaric castle with its Renaissance gable stands out. It is provided with humanistic quotes of religious content. In Postira, the great Croatian poet Vladimir Nazor (1876 - 1949) was born.

I am Krizan Cepernic, the son of the Cepernic family, and I live in Germany. The island of Brač is where I grew up, which is why I am probably more biased than objective. However, the fact is that Brač is the highest island in Croatia, easily accessible by ferry, and offers many special features and beautiful clean seawater, in addition to consistent and sunny weather, what more could you want.
