Only 8 kilometers west of Heraklion with the international airport on the north coast of Crete, is the sandy beach of Ammoudara in the municipality of Malevizi. Spanning 7 kilometers, it is one of the longest beaches on the island. Ammoudara is a bustling resort for locals and tourists, offering many amenities and possible activities.

ACCOMMODATION
The Grey Stones Villa, with a total area of 115 sqm. is fully air-conditioned and heated for the winter months. It has 2 comfortable bedrooms on the upper floor, each with a double bed. Each bedroom has its own furnished balcony and a private bathroom, allowing each guest comfort and privacy. On the large balcony of the master bedroom, there is even a whirlpool. Inside and outside on the ground floor of the duplex villa, you will find all the amenities that make your stay in the Grey Stone Villa an unforgettable experience.
In the open living room with high-quality furniture in shades of white, as you can see in the photos and in the video, you can relax with a glass of wine while your children play comfortably and safely in the outside area of the villa. The dining table is located next to the modern fitted kitchen, where you can enjoy your breakfast or dinner. If you prefer to dine outside on your terrace, as the Greeks do in the summer months, there is a cozy shaded outdoor dining area with chairs and a comfortable sofa and a gas grill, on which you can prepare the finest delicacies.
There is also a separate toilet on the ground floor. The private swimming pool with sun loungers for sunbathing and quiet, shaded places completes your private space for comfort and relaxation.
Of course, there is free WiFi high-speed internet and 3 TVs with free Greek, German, English, Netflix, and other international satellite channels. The dining table and chairs are of high quality. • The two bathrooms have a walk-in shower and are equipped with shampoo and shower gel, a set of towels, a hairdryer, and a first aid kit.

YOUR DESTINATION
The settlement of Ammoudara with its eponymous beach is located only 7 km from the city center of Heraklion and is now a suburb of the city.
Ammoudara gets its name from the long sandy beach (Ammos = Sand), which stretches over 7 kilometers from the Pankritio Stadium to the mouth of the Almyros river, making it one of the longest beaches in Crete. At some points, the width of the beach exceeds 200 meters.
An underwater reef located 40-50 meters from the shore acts as a natural underwater wave breaker, thus offering valuable protection to the coast from erosion. The water is wonderfully turquoise and shallow, making it ideal for families with small children. Along the beach, visitors will find a variety of facilities: There are hotels and small apartments, restaurants and bars with parking spaces, mini-market, sun loungers and umbrellas, and stationary lifeguards at some spots. Water sports facilities as well as the Heraklion windsurfing group provide the infrastructure for lovely and carefree holidays. There are also many untouched spots with small sand dunes. The beach of Ammoudara has been repeatedly awarded the Blue Flag by the European Union as especially outstanding.

• Store opening hours vary from 8-9 am to 1 pm and again from 5-5:30 pm to 8:30-9:00 pm.

The Grey Stones Villa in Ammoudara is between 12 and 14 km from Heraklion International Airport, depending on the route.
The address is: Nik. Skoufa 9 & corner of Makrygianni, 71414 Gazi Heraklion. The entrance is on Makriyannis Street.

There are two routes: You follow the coastal road from Heraklion to Ammoudara and drive through the city. For your orientation: The villa is only 1 kilometer away from Agapi Beach Hotel, which is located on Andreas Papandreou Avenue.
Alternatively, you can take National Road 90 to Rethymno until Gazi and from there follow Google Maps.
