Description
We rent a charming house in the middle of a 30 hectare natural property in Provence, in the Verdon Regional Park. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an assergeous swimming pool overlooking the surrounding nature. Terrace under plane trees. 7 minutes from the beautiful village of Aups (truffle capital) and from a supermarket, 20 minutes from the lake de Sainte Croix, near the famous gorges of Verdon (Gorges du Verdon) and the typical villages of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, Cotignac, Sillans-la-Cascade, Tourtour and many others. Someone will be there to give you the house on arrival and to take care of the swimming pool during your stay.
Bed linen (sheets, towels and bath towels) and table linen, as well as an electric barbecue are at your disposal.
At the moment, cosmetic repairs are being carried out, so the photos are not really up to date. Availability is currently from 28 May to 17 July and from the end of August, or on request.

Relaxed weeks
We, four old (over 70) friends, spent three weeks at "Sarpouillet" at the end of September to mid-October. The property with its charm and the amazingly located swimming pool is truly unique. The house is quiet and secluded on a terraced slope. You have wonderful views of the greenery, the terraces and the old tree population. On the large property there are many really nice seating areas. We invited many of our friends for dinner at the huge table on the terrace. Overall, Sarpouillet offers the best conditions for relaxation and recreation.
We had three weeks of perfect weather, cycled almost every day, enjoyed the beautiful small towns and looked forward to cozy evenings at Sarpouillet. As passionate petanque players, we naturally found the boules court on the property great!
Mrs. Thibout and Christian were always available and helped and advised us.
For us, there are many good reasons to spend another vacation at Sarpouillet.

Neglected object in the middle of the forest
We paid €3,000 for 1 week during the holiday season - clearly overpriced and not commensurate with the condition of the property. The furnishings and overall condition leave much to be desired. In the kitchen and bathroom, lighting is missing or mostly defective. The toilets show signs of age, have the cheapest toilet seats that partly do not fit, so you sit directly on the toilet bowl. Flush defective, door squeaks loudly, so that everyone in the house wakes up when the door closes. The offer does not include pictures of the bathrooms/toilets - these would have looked uninviting anyway. There are mosquito screens on the room windows, of which only 1 out of 3 works. The beds have sagging mattresses. Wi-Fi does not work throughout the house, and there is otherwise no mobile reception on site. The property overall appears neglected. The paths are overgrown and in poor condition, plants are wilted, the lawn is unmowed, and the terrace furniture is neglected. Access requires an off-road vehicle if one does not want to get stuck. The pool looks spectacular in the pictures. However, the stairs leading to the pool are dilapidated and dangerous. There is no railing on the stairs where it is needed, and there are loose stones. The existing railing at the pool is rusty, and the pool lighting does not work either. Standing by the pool, it looks anything but inviting. The surface is porous and seems to be blooming, numerous cracks cause a significant water loss. For this, the caretaker had to come every day to maintain the pool. The salt system for keeping the pool clean is defective; instead, the water is treated with large amounts of chlorine, which is soon noticeable on the dried-out skin. Because there is no outdoor shower by the pool. The pool area is probably about. 35 years old and since then nothing has happened.

Es tut uns leid, dass Sie einen schlechten Aufenthalt hatten und nur schlechte Aspekte in Sarpouillet gesehen haben. Es ist klar, dass es ein altes renoviertes typisches Haus aus der Provence ist, mit Imperfektionen und auch viel Charme. Die anderen Bewertungen sind dazu explizit.
Ich werde das Haus weiter verbessern, so wie ich das bis jetzt gemacht habe (wir haben zum Beispiel die Matratzen auf denen Sie geschlafen haben vor ein paar Monaten neu gekauft) aber möchte seine Authentizität erhalten. Ich werde auch nachdenken, wie ich meine Anzeige so klar wie möglich machen kann, um nur zufriedene Vermieter zu haben.

A GREAT PLACE
The location is Wonderful peaceful,quiet and yet close to the town. Mr. Humbert is a treasure always helpful, friendly and made our stay as smooth as possible. The swimingpool is a Dream!
If your plan is just relax is definetely is the place to stay. Our dog loved the garden and the space.
The house was super clean we had everything we need.
The internet connection didnt work that well however we appreciate it as we enjoy the silence and to disconnect from all.
Felicite's instructions on how to arrive were great! She was always on hand

An extraordinary, magical, and beautiful spot on Earth.
We are a family of 4 with 2 dogs who have lost their hearts in the Provence / Aups. We have been coming to this beautiful village regularly for 15 years now and have already enjoyed many holiday homes in Aups and surroundings.
We discovered Sarpouillet when this holiday home was just being offered. We were one of the first guests.
If you are looking for an exceptional, natural, secluded and unbelievably romantic accommodation in a unique location right in the midst of nature, you will not find anything more beautiful.
The equipment is simple, but incredibly tasteful and leaves nothing to be desired. The terrace and the area are unique and the evenings will stay in your memory forever.
The pool, which is located on a hill within the area, is absolutely outstanding. We have never seen size and depth like this before and our children and we ourselves enjoyed spending the whole day there.
The unique condition of the property!
We will come back and thank the super friendly landlord couple and also the "family friend" responsible for the maintenance of the pool!
We would like to give 6 stars, but unfortunately that is not possible...
