Description
We rent a charming house in the middle of a 30 hectare natural property in Provence, in the Verdon Regional Park. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an assergeous swimming pool overlooking the surrounding nature. Terrace under plane trees. 7 minutes from the beautiful village of Aups (truffle capital) and from a supermarket, 20 minutes from the lake de Sainte Croix, near the famous gorges of Verdon (Gorges du Verdon) and the typical villages of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, Cotignac, Sillans-la-Cascade, Tourtour and many others. Someone will be there to give you the house on arrival and to take care of the swimming pool during your stay.
Bed linen (sheets, towels and bath towels) and table linen, as well as an electric barbecue are at your disposal.
At the moment, cosmetic repairs are being carried out, so the photos are not really up to date. Availability is currently from 28 May to 17 July and from the end of August, or on request.

Relaxed weeks
We, four old (over 70) friends, spent three weeks at "Sarpouillet" at the end of September to mid-October. The property with its charm and the amazingly located swimming pool is truly unique. The house is quiet and secluded on a terraced slope. You have wonderful views of the greenery, the terraces and the old tree population. On the large property there are many really nice seating areas. We invited many of our friends for dinner at the huge table on the terrace. Overall, Sarpouillet offers the best conditions for relaxation and recreation.
We had three weeks of perfect weather, cycled almost every day, enjoyed the beautiful small towns and looked forward to cozy evenings at Sarpouillet. As passionate petanque players, we naturally found the boules court on the property great!
Mrs. Thibout and Christian were always available and helped and advised us.
For us, there are many good reasons to spend another vacation at Sarpouillet.

Vernachlässigtes Objekt mitten im Wald
Wir haben in der Ferienzeit für 1 Woche 3.000 € gezahlt - klar überteuert und dem Zustand des Objekts nicht angemessen. Die Ausstattung und der Allgemeinzustand lassen viel zu wünschen übrig. In Küche und Bad fehlen Beleuchtung bzw. die vorhandenen sind größtenteils defekt. Die WCs sind von den Jahren gezeichnet, haben die billigsten WC-Sitze, die zum Teil nicht passen, so dass man direkt auf der Kloschüssel sitzt. Spülung defekt, Tür quietscht laut, so dass alle im Haus wach werden, wenn man die Tür schließt. Im Angebot sind keine Bilder von den Bädern/Toiletten enthalten - diese hätten auch wenig einladend ausgesehen.
An den Zimmerfenstern sind Moskitorollos, von denen nur 1 von 3 funktioniert. Die Betten haben durchgelegene Matratzen. WLAN funktioniert nicht überall im Haus, ansonsten gibt es vor Ort keinen Handyempfang.
Das Grundstück wirkt insgesamt verwahrlost. Die Wege sind zugewuchert und in schlechtem Zustand, Pflanzen vertrocknet, Rasen ungemäht, die Terrassenmöbel sind ungepflegt. Die Zufahrt erfordert einen geländegängigen Pkw, wenn man nicht aufsetzen will.
Der Pool sieht auf den Bildern spektakulär aus. Die Treppe, die zum Pool führt, ist aber baufällig und gefährlich. Es gibt kein Geländer an der Treppe, wo es nötig wäre und lose Steine. Das vorhandene Geländer am Pool ist rostig, die Poolbeleuchtung funktioniert auch nicht. Steht man am Pool, sieht es alles andere als einladend aus. Der Belag ist porös und scheint zu blühen, zahlreiche Risse sorgen für einen gehörigen Wasserverlust. Dafür musste der Hausmeister jeden Tag kommen, um den Pool zu warten. Die Salzanlage für die Reinhaltung des Pools ist defekt, stattdessen wird das Wasser mit Unmengen von Chlor gereinigt, was man alsbald an der ausgetrockneten Haut merkt. Denn es gibt keine Außendusche am Pool. Die Poolanlage ist wohl ca. 35 Jahre alt und seither hat sich nichts mehr getan.

Es tut uns leid, dass Sie einen schlechten Aufenthalt hatten und nur schlechte Aspekte in Sarpouillet gesehen haben. Es ist klar, dass es ein altes renoviertes typisches Haus aus der Provence ist, mit Imperfektionen und auch viel Charme. Die anderen Bewertungen sind dazu explizit.
Ich werde das Haus weiter verbessern, so wie ich das bis jetzt gemacht habe (wir haben zum Beispiel die Matratzen auf denen Sie geschlafen haben vor ein paar Monaten neu gekauft) aber möchte seine Authentizität erhalten. Ich werde auch nachdenken, wie ich meine Anzeige so klar wie möglich machen kann, um nur zufriedene Vermieter zu haben.

A GREAT PLACE
The location is Wonderful peaceful,quiet and yet close to the town. Mr. Humbert is a treasure always helpful, friendly and made our stay as smooth as possible. The swimingpool is a Dream!
If your plan is just relax is definetely is the place to stay. Our dog loved the garden and the space.
The house was super clean we had everything we need.
The internet connection didnt work that well however we appreciate it as we enjoy the silence and to disconnect from all.
Felicite's instructions on how to arrive were great! She was always on hand

An extraordinary, magical, and beautiful spot on Earth.
We are a family of 4 with 2 dogs who have lost their hearts in the Provence / Aups. We have been coming to this beautiful village regularly for 15 years now and have already enjoyed many holiday homes in Aups and surroundings.
We discovered Sarpouillet when this holiday home was just being offered. We were one of the first guests.
If you are looking for an exceptional, natural, secluded and unbelievably romantic accommodation in a unique location right in the midst of nature, you will not find anything more beautiful.
The equipment is simple, but incredibly tasteful and leaves nothing to be desired. The terrace and the area are unique and the evenings will stay in your memory forever.
The pool, which is located on a hill within the area, is absolutely outstanding. We have never seen size and depth like this before and our children and we ourselves enjoyed spending the whole day there.
The unique condition of the property!
We will come back and thank the super friendly landlord couple and also the "family friend" responsible for the maintenance of the pool!
We would like to give 6 stars, but unfortunately that is not possible...
