Description
We rent our lovingly renovated old former farmhouse for a few weeks a year
The house is located at the foot of the mountain Grosser Sonnstein near the hiking trail in a quiet and sunny south slope location. Opposite you have a wonderful view of the family hiking and skiing area Feuerkogel and in the Langbathtal. The village of Ebensee with shops and restaurants is only 5-10 minutes walk and you can also reach the shore of Lake Traunsee in about 10 minutes on foot.
The house has 150m2 of living space: ground floor: entrance hall, kitchen with small dining table, living room with large dining table, couch and Tv, bathroom with shower bath and toilet, one bedroom (bed 1.80); upstairs: two bedrooms (beds 2.00 and 1.60), a large open room with desk and a single bed (0.90), bathroom with bath and toilet.
Outside there is a garden with garden furniture and barbecue at your disposal.
Ideal for simply relaxing about bathing, mountain climbing, climbing, hiking, kite surfing (hotspot in Ebensee at Lake Traunsee), mountain bike tours, skiing, to sightseeing.....for everyone there is certainly something.....
Some lakes in the area: Traunsee, Langbathseen, Offensee, Wolfgangsee, Attersee, Hallstaetter See, Bad Ausseer See....
Some villages/towns in the area: Bad Ischl (summer residence of the empress "Sissi", thermal baths,...), Gmunden (tree top walk at Gruenberg, summer toboggan run, Orth castle...), Bad Aussee, Hallstatt, Traunkirchen,.....
Dachstein region (40 minutes by car), Feuerkogel region (valley station gondola 5 minutes by car), Gassl stalactite cave in Ebensee, salt mines,....
Pets are not allowed.
Local fees: 75€ final cleaning, 2€ visitor's tax per person/night, deposit 250€
minimum stay 5 nights.
Maybe interesting to know: We also rent our vacation house Haus Sonnstein to Ebensee at the Traunsee on vacation house rental. This is located in the immediate vicinity of our house Zum Grossen Sonnstein and both houses together can accommodate 10 people.

The house can be reached the last approx. 80m only about a short staircase and a narrow footpath. In winter there is no snow removal here. At the end of the access road is a turning place, where you can stop for a short time to load and unload the suitcases and shopping, etc. From there you are directly at the short staircase and the footpath.
Parking is possible along the road (about 5min walk to the house) or also in the parking lot of the church in Ebensee (about 8min walk to the house).

Hello, I am a native Austrian and come from the area. We rent this house for a few weeks a year. We use it ourselves regularly in our home vacations and also have personal belongings in the house. We have enough empty cupboards in the rooms and kitchen to accommodate our guests. Please contact me by mail or by WhatsApp for reservation requests and other information.
