The special thing about us is that large groups of 14, 15 or even 16 people can also spend their holidays here without any problems!
Spacious holiday home (185m²) for up to 16 people, with private garden and jetty, directly on the river Oste near the North Sea.
Idyllic and quiet location with many leisure activities, such as diving in the chalk lake or horse riding.
With us you can relax in your garden, swim in the Oste or go kayaking.
But you can also have a cosy barbecue under a large beech tree, go horseback riding or hike through the beautiful landscape characterised by orchards - it's entirely up to you.

There are two kitchens in the house, so you can cook together or against each other!

There are 6 bedrooms with enough beds for 16 people.

The house has a fenced and beautiful garden.
A large garden table with benches is located under an old beech tree,
where you can spend cosy barbecue evenings.
From here you have a view of open fields and the setting sun.
On the covered terrace, you also have the opportunity to relax in the evening. Here, too, you have plenty of seating options, of course.
In just a few steps you are over the dike at the Oste. Here you will find our jetty, ideal for sunbathing or fishing.

Location and surroundings of object
Our holiday home is a thatched house from Lower Saxony and is situated on the natural river Oste, a tributary of the Elbe, directly on the dyke in the middle of nature far away from the noise of the road, and yet centrally located between Cuxhaven and Hamburg.
The holiday resort of Hechthausen with its shops, restaurants and cafes is less than 5 minutes away.
From here, the chalk lake in Hemmoor, the Hanseatic city of Stade, Hamburg, Cuxhaven, the North Sea resort of Otterndorf, Neuhaus, Bremerhaven, Helgoland and many other holiday destinations can be reached easily and quickly by day trips. Right outside the front door is, of course, your own garden.
You can feel completely at home: The garden is fenced in - so you don't need to worry about where your children are running around and can lie in the sun in peace.
In the morning, you can have a cosy breakfast here under the old beech tree and plan your day.
From the jetty, you can plunge into the cool water and swim in the midday heat (only for very experienced swimmers!)! From here you can also watch boats and take a kayak out on the waters yourself.
The Oste is also suitable for fishing: Whether trout, pike, zander or eel, you can wait for the big catch in shady shore areas.
Once you have caught your dinner, the private barbecue area offers the opportunity to prepare your evening meal and let the evening fade away in the garden.
But that is by no means all:
The landscape in the Alte Land, characterised by orchards, invites you to go hiking and cycling!
The Mühlenhof is located in the middle of nature: wide fields, the dyke with the Oste river and plenty of space to the neighbour.
Also a paradise for dogs: Countless opportunities to explore and enjoy the area with your four-legged friend.

Cancellation terms:
- You will be refunded half of the booking amount minus the cancellation fee, if you cancel the booking at least 7 days before the planned check-in until 12 o’clock midday CET (Central European time). For cancellations which are made less than 7 days before check-in there will be no refund.

Relaxing holidays in the beautiful Mühlenhof
The holidays at the Mühlenhof will stay in our memories for a long time, in every respect. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts and were immediately taken in by the beautiful old farmhouse and the tranquil surroundings. Everything was uncomplicated with the Borgs family, the contact with us was very open-minded and cordial. The house was well equipped, nothing was missing. Everything was in good condition. In the second week, we moved into the artist's flat and found everything to be in the best condition there as well.
In the courtyard, on the terrace and in the garden of the guest house there are nice places to spend time outside. It is only a few metres to the Oste and there is also an idyllic seating area with a view of the river
Aĺl this helps to relax in the best way.
The surroundings, which we explored on our bikes, are close to nature and have many charms. We will gladly come back to the Mühlenhof.

Beautiful family holiday
It was a wonderful family holiday. The weather also cooperated well and we were able to enjoy the great
enjoy the great garden and the wonderful silence.
The Borgs family are really lucky landlords, they fulfilled our every wish immediately and with pleasure
The location of the house is also wonderful for people looking for peace and quiet. Anglers also get their money's worth, we had a beautifully large sea trout and several bream on the hook.

Great family weekend spent
We spent a very nice and relaxing weekend at the holiday farm. The surroundings are really great and well suited for all nature-related leisure activities or for relaxing. The equipment of the house is good and the landlords are very helpful. The whole property is great for children to play.
