Our house "Lütje Wieke" is perfect for 2-4 people for a super relaxing holiday at any time of the year right on the coast.

"The house is beautifully furnished and surprises with many interesting details." The kitchen is very well thought out and perfectly equipped, everything you need is there, for example, good! pans. We very much enjoyed the seating area in the lovingly landscaped garden with a view of the church and the gallery windmill, surrounded by berry bushes, perennials, and spice plants. Where it's beautiful, one gladly goes. That also applies to Ditzum. The gastronomy and the excellent selection of fresh fish at the fish house do the rest. Nevertheless, the place has so far managed to retain its original charm as a fishing village.
In East Frisia it's the best. . . . . and especially in the "Lütje(n) Wieke".
"The Lütje Wieke is an extremely beautiful, cozy, and lovingly furnished holiday home in the middle of the idyllic village of Ditzum! The house is like a small museum, where there is something exciting to discover around every corner. :-) If you want to relax and unwind, this is definitely a very suitable place for it. We felt comfortable right away and really enjoyed our stay. The rest of the house's amenities are absolutely complete, so we can recommend Lütje Wieke without reservation and would come back any time. :-)
Our house offers a light-filled living room with a fireplace and an open dining area. Across the hallway, you enter the fully equipped kitchen-living room or our modern bathroom with a barrier-free rain shower.
On the first floor are the two bedrooms and an open gallery, featuring a desk by the window overlooking the impressive mill, inviting you to write in a relaxed setting.
The annex is used as a utility room and offers a washing machine, a dryer, and a freezer at no charge.
Carport available! In summer, one can sit outside in our beautiful garden, relax and, for example, enjoy a barbecue.
In the evening, or after walks, extensive bike rides in the surrounding area, the fireplace in the living room warms us up while having a glass of wine, a grog or an East Frisian tea.
We love our second East Frisian home - and are happy to share our art, antiques, and selected literature.

Location and surroundings of object
Ditzum is a fishing and harbor village, belongs to the Leer district, and is situated directly at the Ems estuary near the sea close to the Dutch border.
Due to its location in the northwesternmost corner of Rheiderland, it is also called "Endje van de Welt."
From Ditzum's harbor, you can take the ferry to the other side of the Ems and then, for example, cycle to Emden in half an hour to visit the art gallery, go to the Delft, or just to stroll around. To Leer, with its beautiful old town and modern theater, it takes 30 minutes by car or you can simply cycle along the dike. Wonderful!
In Ditzum, you can eat very well; the fish is freshly caught and is among the best that East Frisia has to offer culinarily!
A small grocery store is within walking distance and other charming shops and cafes invite you to stop by.
Small tip: On Sundays, the high-speed ferry, the catamaran, goes directly from Ditzum harbor to the island of Borkum! You will feel comfortable in Ditzum, slow down and enjoy. . .

Nature lovers, fishermen, and water sports enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy here! Whether it's taking long walks by the water, cycling, taking trips to the surrounding areas (Leer, Emden, Borkum, Krummhörn, or the Netherlands), or visiting the bathing lake in Soltburg; the recreational opportunities are plentiful. The unique Rheiderland nature reserve is also a resting place for migratory birds of all kinds and offers beautiful natural experiences for the whole family all year round. One is constantly amazed...

We live and work in Bonn, but Wilhelm's roots are in Emden, which is why there is a great closeness and connection to East Frisia. We look forward to your visit!
