Description
Relax in the exclusive country house with an unforgettable distant view in the middle of nature on the most beautiful slope of the Vogelsberg. The house is lovingly furnished in French country house style and equipped to a high standard. The approx. 1700 m² garden is completely fenced and borders on fields and meadows. This place is ideal for a nature holiday, hiking and holiday with dog. We have completely renovated the house in 2021. Since June 2021 we rent it out as a holiday home.
The holiday home (145 m²) is suitable for up to 6 people and has 3 bedrooms (2x box spring bed 180x200cm, 1x French metal bed 150x200 cm) with 3 bathrooms for 2 people each. The entrance area leads into the spacious living / fireplace room and the open kitchen. All three areas are on different levels, separated by two steps. Spend romantic evenings by the fireplace with a wonderful view of the valley. Somewhat elevated, is the panoramic level with a magnificent view into nature and up to the Frankfurt skyline 80 km away. From here, a patio door leads to the spacious covered outdoor seating area
The country kitchen with an unforgettable panoramic view and two sloping skylights is the highest point of the wonderful open space. From here you enter the wardrobe room, further into the bedroom with French balcony and the tastefully furnished bathroom. The garden floor is also divided into different areas. In the east wing you enter a reading room, then a romantic bedroom with a French metal bed and access to the terrace as well as a bathroom with a bathtub. In the west wing, there is a bedroom and a bathroom with a shower and a Finnish sauna. From this bedroom you can directly access the garden through a terrace door.
A fast WLAN is available to our guests free of charge. Just like the Finnish sauna, where you can relax after an active day. Afterwards, you can spend romantic evenings in the living room by the fireplace or the terrace with a distant view.
Dogs are especially welcome here! Do you want to rent a holiday home that is also suitable for your dog? Then you have come to the right place! We make a point of ensuring that your pets feel comfortable with us and keep a feeding bowl, dog bed and dog towels available. We have completely fenced and secured the garden with a solid fence up to a height of 140 cm.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday home is located at the end of the weekend area Schotten-Betzenrod on the southern slope of the Vogelsberg, bordering fields and meadows. The fantastic panoramic view from the living room, the kitchen and the terrace, as well as the old trees in our park garden make the house something special. The hiking trails and mountain bike tours start right at the house and reward you with countless distant views and panoramic vistas
You can also make a trip to the Hoherodskopf: Many beautiful hiking routes start here, and you can also discover the summer toboggan run and the climbing forest, and in winter, plan downhill and especially cross-country skiing. It is also worth visiting the small towns of Laubach, Lich, Grünberg, Schotten and Hungen. The Vulkanradweg and Südbahnradweg cycle paths in the Vogelsberg offer about 145 km of traffic-free cycle paths that have been developed along old railway lines. You can return with the Vulkan Express - a shuttle bus with a bicycle trailer.
The nature reserve at Hoherodskopf is about 10 minutes away by car and is another wonderful starting point for hikes and activities in the countryside, such as a summer toboggan run, climbing park, mini-golf and geocatching. The beautiful half-timbered town of Schotten offers three attractions at once: Vogelpark - an animal park, Vulkaneum - a geological museum about the Vogelsberg and the Niddastauseee - a place for swimming and walking.

| Incidental costs are invoiced according to the actual expenditure on site according to the currently valid price of the electricity/gas suppliers. Currently (as of September 22): Electricity 0,35 €/ kWh, oil 1,29 €/l, water 4€/m³, visitor's tax is 1 Euro / person / night. Our regular minimum stay is 7 nights, arrival and departure every week on Fridays. Shorter stays on request. We are happy to make an exception in the event of booking gaps, so please contact us. In the low season from November - March: minimum stay 4 nights / any arrival days by arrangement. |

Great vacation house
Great, large, clean and comfortable house with a covered terrace that offers a beautiful, wide view of the countryside. The large, fully fenced garden and the house offer everything you need, and in particular, the garden is a dog paradise. Very friendly and attentive landlady. We spent wonderful and relaxing holiday days here.
