Our completely newly built holiday flat Joena is located on the ground floor of the building and has 2 separate bedrooms with box-spring beds and satellite TV as well as 2 separate bathrooms, kitchen and living room.
With a pull-out sofa bed, the flat is suitable for up to 6 people. Besides the complete kitchen equipment, there is a built-in safe, radio, bed linen and a towel package. This makes it perfect for a family holiday as well as for hiking enthusiasts or cyclists.
Due to the 2 bedrooms with 2 separate bathrooms, the flat is very popular with couples who want to spend a holiday together. The flat also has its own terrace with barbecue.

Location and surroundings of object
As the name suggests, the flats are located directly on the Saarweg. The car-free cycle path begins 100 metres away. On this cycle path along the Saar, you can reach the Saarwiesen Merzig by bike in 15 minutes. There are many attractions & recreational opportunities for young and old to spend an eventful day. In addition to the marina, Trampolini, Das Bad, Kletterhafen and Zeltpalast, there is also a restaurant and the Merziger Brauhaus, which invites you to dine outdoors in fine weather. If you take the Saarweg in a northerly direction, you will reach the Saarschleife, which is well worth seeing, in about 45 minutes. Above it is a tree-top walk and an adventure playground. Many other sights are within easy reach by car, such as the Völklingen Ironworks World Heritage Site, the Maginot Line, Trier, Germany's oldest city, and the neighbouring countries of Luxembourg and France.
For hikers, there are several hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. For example, the dream trail Schengen grenzenlos crosses the 3 countries Luxembourg-France and Germany on 8.4 km. The first 5 stages of the award-winning Saar-Hunsrück Climb are also within a radius of 35 km. This premium trail has 27 stages and a total length of 410 kilometres. We would also be happy to inform you on site about the possibilities for excursions as well as the hiking and cycling trails.
For your daily needs, you can stock up in a supermarket as well as in a bakery within a 5-minute drive from the holiday flat.
