Our mountain house is located at 1,420 m in the municipality of St. Veit in Defereggen, in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, in untouched nature.
Due to the free hillside location you have a great valley view and absolute tranquility
Fresh mountain spring water from our own spring can be drunk here at the berghaus. directly from the tap
The berghaus. is suitable as accommodation for couples / families, as the bright rooms are spread over three floors
Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a large living / dining room with fireplace are distributed as follows:
Upper floor: two bedrooms, large bathroom with shower, bath & toilet
Middle floor: kitchen, living / dining room with fireplace and balcony, bathroom with large shower and a separate WC
Basement: two bedrooms - one with fireplace and additional small sofa bed (suitable for 2 children), direct garden access and terrace
Beautiful hiking trails start directly in front of the door, but also to the golf course (7.3 km), to the ski area (10 km) or to South Tyrol (26 km) is not far
No matter how many people you arrive with, you will always have the berghaus. all to yourself

Nestled in the Hohe Tauern National Park, the Defereggen valley lies on the "sunny side of the Alps" (south side of the Alps). It is one of the most untouched high mountain valleys in the Alps.
Our berghaus. is located in the municipality of St. Veit in Defereggen at 1.420 m, in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, in untouched nature.
Situated in a small hamlet with only five houses in total, ours has an open hillside location with a generous distance, allowing you to enjoy a great valley view and absolute peace and quiet
Despite the quiet location, the nearby golf course, the ski lift, but also South Tyrol or the sunny town of Lienz can be reached quickly by car
The closest shopping option is a well-stocked supermarket in St. Jakob, as well as a nearby 24-hour self-service farm shop.

Absolutely recommendable holiday home
Sooo beautiful! There is no other way to put it. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday in this great mountain house! It is absolutely to be recommended. Starting with the nice and reliable communication with the landlady in advance, the uncomplicated arrival/handover of keys, the super clean house, the great furnishings with a lot of attention to detail and of course the absolute dream location of the house. Another plus point was definitely the good layout of the bedrooms. We were 2 families, each with a baby, and each had their own area, which is of course worth its weight in gold with children
In short, we will book again!

Beautiful holiday home in Defereggen valley
Very nice and clean holiday home. Very comfortable with teenage kids. The house has beautiful views and you need more time then two weeks to do what you want and can in the area. Many places to visit nearby
Because we were the first tenants there were still some "initial questions", but with this nice landlord every question could be answered and things are arranged.
recommend for: adventure and experience, disabled persons, holiday with children, romantic holiday
