House with a good spirit

Very beautiful house with a spacious, lovingly designed garden with beautiful old trees and a lawn where flowers are allowed to grow. The house is cleverly furnished, probably pleasantly cool in hot months and easy to heat now in spring. It offers plenty of space, enough corners, opportunities for reading and listening to music (books and CDs available), a great kitchen with a good oven and plenty of dishes... You can tell that the owners have a beautiful relationship with the house, everything is lovingly equipped and arranged.

Simply a pleasure

We have been in this wonderful house and in this beautiful village for the umpteenth time since 2006. For this reason, we can assess quite well that the landlord wants to make the guests as comfortable as possible through continuous improvements and renewals. We appreciate that very much. Pictures and descriptions are 100% accurate, including the really good recommendations for excursions! A lot has already been written about the impeccable equipment, I just want to confirm here: Everything is there, even more than you need! Nature and hiking enthusiasts, as well as those who want variety with small excursions, are in the right place here. From our point of view, a car is a must. A 10-15 minute walk into the village leads to a bar, restaurant, bakery, and shopping opportunities (see other reviews). The supermarket has astonishingly developed over the years. If you are looking for a diversified range of dining and evening entertainment options, this is not the right place. However, everything here is characterized by hospitality and coziness. And sitting in the large garden or in front of the fireplace in the evenings is simply unbeatable. Both are also reasons why we keep coming back here. And so it will probably be. Communication with the landlord exemplary, fast, and uncomplicated. Best regards at this point.

Remote. There are plenty of excursions and all of them are recommended. Suggestions from the landlord are great. Large garden and well-equipped house. Space for 4 people is very good. Contact with the landlord is uncomplicated. Also recommended for cycling tours.

PURE RECREATION!

The beautiful, spacious, well-furnished house with a large garden offers enough space for six adults. It's a great place to be, relaxation is guaranteed!
Thanks to the optimal location of the house, a wide range of sights is easily accessible. Likewise, walks, hikes, and bike tours around Saint-Etienne-Les Orgus are wonderful.
We would love to return to this place!

Holidays in Provence

I can highly recommend the vacation home. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a washing machine and dishwasher. The bedroom has plenty of closets and the beds are very comfortable. The living room is cozy, but the garden is so spacious that one prefers to be outside. Lounge chairs, a gas grill, and much more are available. The house is about a 10-minute walk from the bakery (fresh bread in the morning), which was the only downside for me. For 21 years, I have been spending a week of vacation there with friends and hope for many more!

Comfortable with a beautiful garden

Noteworthy are, in addition to the beautiful, fenced garden with terrace, the extensive facilities: For self-cooking you will find absolutely everything you need, including a modern oven, microwave, peeler, and sharp knives, which is not the case in many vacation apartments/houses. You will also find everything else you need, and everything is of high quality and functional (deck chairs, sun umbrella, bicycles, and much more). Many books in different languages are also available. Likewise, a DVD player would be available, but DVDs would have to be brought along or rented.
Thanks to the construction and the always cool floor tiles, it remains comfortable in the house even in hot weather.
The only disadvantage is that the house cannot be reached by public transport. We took a taxi from Manosque (and back) for €86 each. Luckily, Accueil Taxi Forcalquier also takes dogs. But once you are there, the location is perfect: quiet in a well-kept residential area and in 10 minutes on foot you are already in the middle of the village, including various shopping facilities (bakery, butcher, small supermarket, slightly larger supermarket...). Beautiful walks and hikes can also be undertaken from there. It would be perfect with a small pool in the garden :-).
We enjoyed our stay very much and the contact with the landlord was always courteous and friendly.

Beautiful holiday in Provence with many excursion opportunities (bike, car, foot)

The beautifully furnished holiday home is located on the edge of the village, reachable on foot or by bike in a reasonable amount of time, for shopping. Two small supermarkets and a bakery, bistro.
The kitchen is well-equipped.
Dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven.
The seating area with a wonderful large garden in front offers a unique ambiance, also equipped with good furniture: mobile loungers, large table with comfortable chairs.

Cosy holidays in Provence

Very well equipped kitchen. Large garden with partly old trees. Good access.
15 minutes walk to the village, with good shopping facilities and for aperitifs. Many good
Restaurants in the region. Pharmacy, post office and tourist office in the village.
Interesting villages and markets in the very beautiful region can be reached by car (practically no public transport network)
Public transport network). The small local bath is unfortunately only open in July and August.
Excellent contact with the landlord.

Oasis of relaxation

The tiptop furnished holiday home in a quiet location offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The spacious terrace and the well-kept garden with old trees invite you to stay and relax.
The kitchen offers a lot of comfort and is very well equipped, the bedrooms are functionally furnished with very comfortable beds for a deep sleep. Everything works (incl. stable wifi!) and is very clean!

Scenic surroundings with lots to discover, but a car is a must.
In the village you can get everything you need.
Pleasant contact with the landlord at all times.

Great holiday home for family holidays!

Very well equipped holiday home with a spacious and beautiful garden. The house has a modern kitchen, dishwasher/washing machine and modern bathrooms. With the provided bicycles you can explore the village and the surroundings. The piscine in the village is very clean and cosy. It has a children's pool! The market in Forcalquier is a must!

Were excited again

Top holiday destination in the USA.

Besides the practical and stylishly furnished house, the perfectly equipped kitchen is worth mentioning (induction stove, microwave, oven, large fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher) nothing is left to be desired. The beds/bedding are top quality and guarantee a good night's sleep. A large library (German + French books) as well as a good music system complete the furnishings.

The large garden with old trees and shady spots is wonderful. The house is located in a quiet area and is perfect for those looking for a relaxing holiday.

Sehr gepflegt und hervorragend ausgestattet

Die grosse, schön mit Naturstein-Platten  gestaltete Terrasse mit Baumschatten bietet Provence-Feeling pur und fügt sich perfekt in den naturnahen Garten mit seinen Oliven- und Feigenbäumen ein. Wer mehrmals kommt, den begrüsst der alte Mandelbaum wie ein alter Freund. Das Haus ist hervorragend unterhalten und bietet jeden Komfort. Unbedingt allen zu empfehlen, welche das wahre Frankreich lieben.

Immer wieder ein Sehnsuchtsort:-))

Haus, Garten und die wunderschöne Umgebung bezaubernd uns schon seit einigen Jahren. Es ist ein Ort zum Auftanken und Geniessen. Das Haus bietet grossen, behaglichen Komfort, die Küche ist super eingetichtet. Die grosse Terrasse mit Baumschatten ist perfekt und der Garten schenkt mediterranes Flair. Die Nächte sind sehr ruhig. Wir lieben auch das charmante Dorf mit seinen kleinen Läden.

Magnifique séjour

Cette maison renferme une grande cuisine très bien agencée et équipée, un grand séjour lumineux et convivial, ainsi que 2 chambres confort. Dehors, un grand jardin nous attend avec ses figues.
La maison se situe dans un quartier paisible à 10minutes à pieds du centre.
Point de départ idéal pour visiter autant la région du Lubéron que celui des gorges du Verdon.

Wunderschönes, stilvoll eingerichtetes Provencehaus mit sonniger Terrasse und grossem gepflegtem Garten-ideal zum Entspannen unter verschiedenen Bäumen.(Im Herbst Feigen +Trauben zum pflücken- ein Traum!)
Die Ausstattung ist komfortabel, die Küche hat alles was man braucht.
Die Lage ist ruhig, ca. 10 Gehminuten ins Zentrum. Mittwochs ist lokaler Markt mit Bioprodukten- très sympa!
Guter Ausgangspunkt um die Provence mit dem Auto zu erkunden.

Great great vacation house!

A great great vacation house with a beautiful garden and a very nice terrace. The equipment in the house is more than complete. Everything you need and more is there. It is located at the outskirts of the village but it’s only a small walk to the town center and the supermarché is nearby. Also Montagne de Lure and nice cities like Manosque and Sisteron are nearby. We were really homesick when we arrived back home! We highly recommend this vacation house and our compliments to the owner!
