The Weidenhäuser Mühle is a secluded oasis of relaxation in the midst of a scenic and varied environment. The building was renovated in an environmentally friendly way from 2007. The mill is located on a 1600 m² park-like property in a quiet isolated location. Altitude is 460m, the surrounding mountains are over 600m high. In spring a sea of blossoms enchants with countless winter flowers, snowdrops, daffodils, primroses. The old rhododendrons are constantly supplemented by new plantings of partly rare woody plants. The ponds are home to thousands of frogs and newts during the spawning season. Not infrequently the black stork passes by. The apartments for 2-14 persons ( + small children ) are designed to provide our guests with all the necessary facilities and equipment for comfortable self-catering in pleasant homely surroundings. They serve as a resting place and starting point for excursions to numerous interesting destinations and activities in the region.

Location and surroundings of object
The open living area consisting of two living rooms and dining area has more than 50 m² of space. There is a reading corner and a bar table, which is also ideal for games. Even with larger groups, the spacious design of the apartment does not create a feeling of crampedness. A cozy seating set in the living room, the cabinets and tables are made of solid oak. The equipment consists of a wall-mounted TV, stereo, DVD, wi-fi connection, etc. The high-quality, fully equipped kitchen leaves nothing to be desired. Fridge-freezer, dishwasher, ceramic hob, oven, etc. From the living area you come directly onto the large, fenced terrace, which offers a unique view over the mill pond, garden and the extensively cultivated meadow valley.
The 10 m² bathroom has a shower as well as a corner bathtub with space for a washing machine and a dryer are also located there. The 3 bedrooms are comfortably and tastefully furnished and decorated. Each bedroom also has a table and seating. From all rooms you have beautiful views of the surrounding nature. Weidenhausen is located in the area of the town of Bad Berleburg, Wittgenstein region, directly bordering the Hochsauerland - it is 29km from the mill to the Kahler Asten. The region is crisscrossed by countless hiking trails, of which the Rothaarsteig is the most famous. The Rothaargebirge is the most densely forested region in Germany. Traditionally, the inhabitants lived from forestry and small farms. The scenic beauty and the multitude of well-developed hiking trails predestine the region to be an outstanding recreational area.
