The spacious wooden house with a direct view of Lake Malchin invites you to enjoy the lake panorama or a magnificent sunset from the terrace. It consists of a living room, 2 bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. One bedroom is equipped with a double bed, the other bedroom with 2 single beds. There is a sofa bed in the living room. The wooden house has a terrace with a direct view of Lake Malchin. The shown pre-built balcony was replaced by a French balcony from 2017. New pictures are unfortunately not yet available. There are also 2 small ponds on the property, as well as a campfire site with a swivel barbecue, plus a place for sunbathing with 4 sun loungers overlooking the lake. Dahmen in Mecklenburg Switzerland is part of the new Rostock district. The house is situated on a slope above Lake Malchin and is 80 m from the shore. In the village there are 3 restaurants and a fisherman (purchase of fresh and freshly smoked fish is possible there). But it's even more fun to try your hand at fishing yourself. The lake with its good stocking of noble fish (eel, perch, pike and zander) offers the best conditions for this. You can also get the necessary fishing permit directly from the fisherman on the beach. With an average depth of 2 m, Lake Malchin is extremely shallow. In the middle of the lake is a real hotspot for anglers with a depth of around 12 metres. The total area is around 14 km². Lake Malchin is located in Mecklenburg Switzerland a few kilometres southwest of Malchin. Lake Malchin is connected to Lake Kummerow in the northeast via the Dahmer Canal and the Peene River, and there is a navigable connection to the Baltic Sea. Dahmen is very popular as a starting or ending point for water hikers for extensive canoe tours. The shore zones are lined with dense reeds. Steep hills surround Lake Malchin, which are predominantly covered with dense deciduous forests. Many bird species - some of them very rare and protected - are at home on and around the lake. With a bit of luck, you can observe cormorants and even white-tailed eagles in addition to ducks and geese that use the lake and the shore zones as a resting and roosting place. The villages of Basedow (east), Dahmen (south), Bülow and Bristow in the west surround Lake Malchin. In the vicinity of Dahmen are Waren an der Müritz about 20 km, Malchin, Teterow and Malchow, all about 15 km away. The Baltic Sea is about 70 km away. Special features: In autumn and spring you can watch the cranes as they gather for their flight south.

The village of Dahmen is located in the Mecklenburg Switzerland Nature Park in the Mecklenburg Lake District. Dahmen, with about 600 inhabitants, consists of the villages of Hüttenkoppel, Dahmen, Rothenmoor, Großen Luckow, Ziddorf, Bockholt, Barz and Neu Ziddorf. Dahmen itself was first mentioned in a document in 1235. The small Gothic church with its wooden belfry is worth seeing. Significant remains of the former sugar factory and its ancillary facilities can still be found in Dahmen today. The landscape and bird sanctuary around Lake Malchin in the Mecklenburg Switzerland Nature Park offers unique living conditions for a variety of flora and fauna. Watch the flight of the white-tailed eagles or the gathering of the cranes in autumn before they fly south.
